Great job engineering that hurdle of getting the rack all positioned with such little real estate to work with. I am super excited to see the rest of the steering integrated in. Ed, Its not just a bit higher. It would need to go up 3 inches to make enough clearance affecting cv shaft angle. There was no good solution here. I have a video coming up where I do rework this and put a rack inline. I was not happy with this afterwards.
Looking good my friend, all coming together. Hope you don't have issue with the Saturn power unit, that need to go inside the cabin just below the steering column, you may have clearance issue with your knees, I used that power unit on a lambo replica and it was really close to the knees. I probably missed something, but why you did not make the rack holding bar removable with two bolts on each side...that way you don't need to move the motor if you need to service the rack
I was actually going that direction at the end. There isn't significant loading that would prevent it and it will make it easier. Still looking where to best place the powe unit. Need to get into the cabin and look at it while sitting in there

All you needed to do was, to put the motor just A bit higher that way ,to fit the rack under .and that would have given you a better geometry
