That mountain you asked about is called Castle Mountain. Canmore's main street area is very nice. Less crowded than banff & beautiful mountain views as well. JK bakery is a nice spot for sandwiches, donuts, pastries, etc.
Just WOW!!!!!! 💖 Need to add the Lake Louise area to my list too! 🥶 Yes, those overpasses are built for wildlife... we have them here in Washington too on I90 and animals do use them. I am just loving these videos... thank you for sharing!!! ❤🤍❤
Great video! Thanks for talking me along on that beautiful snowy hike. I admire your strength. Physically, I could never do a hike that. I really appreciate videos like this.
Moraine Lake made me cry when I visited last year, was my favourite of the two. Then another great walk, slip, slide was at Maligne Canyon, frozen waterfalls etc, just beautiful. Would never have gone to Canada but son has gone to live out there so we get regular visits. Just back this couple of days.
Loving all the Canada videos. Like u I recently lost a parent and I want to goto Canada to get my mind right but can’t go just yet. So living through ur videos 🤙🏼🖖🏼🧡
It,s wonderful to see the peaks of the mountains, how they change from moment to moment. They rise from the fog to the sun and vice versa.Impressive!Thank you,Gabriel.👍🍀
I am really enjoying your Canada adventures. It’s just gorgeous there. Even with grey skies you can still see the mountains clearly. The trees look beautiful with the snow on them. Really a winter wonderland. Wonderful hike as well, you make it look so easy! Thank you. ❤
I've walked deep onto that lake in waist high snow once, and I had the time of my life doing so. It's very serene just sitting in the deep snow surrounded by nothing but snow covered trees and mountains. FYI - there's free parking available in certain places in Banff. In particular, there's free parking at the train station (where I usually park). It's only been in recent years that Banff started charging for street parking (due to overcrowding)
Hi Gabriel, this video is spectacular. Here in Australia we are having heat atm. We will never experience such amazing scenery. I got nervous seeing you walking along snow covered track alone. Anyway I would like to thank you for all the work you put in your videos. It's not easy.
Absolutely wonderful video. I got to go to bampton Jasper and up to lake.Louise and moran in the fall for the first time ever and it was gorgeous. Now i'm getting to see it a little further into almost winter and it is absolutely glorious. Thank you so much for sharing it with us. God bless merry christmas time . ❤❤
Great to see that Sabbatical Tommy is safe and sound. There are a lot of geographical similarities between Canada and Russia, but fortunately for Canada that's where the similarities end.
Hi Gabriel, just amazing I laughed my ass off about the Pou tail reminds me of Snoop Dogg Pou tang It's too funny. The drive up to the lake was amazing the covered snow on the pines was spectacular a winter wonderland incredibly beautiful. The hike though the forest is just spectacular I just love walking through snow myself there's something so mediative about walking a real connection with the forces of nature. You had to build up quite an appetite.
Emerald Lake is also amazing, I highly recommend it I went there when all the parking was taken at Moraine Lake at 3 or 4 am 😂 Beautiful nice lake, great walk around it, amazing views sunrise and sunset
Hi Gabriel. Enjoying your Canadian Rockies videos. If I can recommend few amazing places to see around Banff. Johnston Canyon isn’t a little bit north from Banff town. Also in Yoho national park there is Emerald Lake. Or east from Canmore there is Kananaskis County with lots of good hiking trails.
Gabriel you're a rough rider 😎💪🏻. I lived through 25 winters 🥶 of my life in South Carolina, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Georgia 🍑 plus 10 freezing days up in a village called Gargi in Himachal Pradesh in 2019. Oh and I went up to Toronto with my brother and his family to visit our dad in December 2009. It was freezing 🥶 too. I'm done with all of that. You're the man!
If you weren't flying out and considering exploring Alberta, you should consider Drumheller/Dinosaur provincial park (badlands area, far less known and amazing) and maybe even Waterton in the far south if Alberta which is also far less known and just gorgeous.
At 37:20 , the inner Peace you must have felt, all alone on that lake . Comment 2 - Will you be taking the Banff Gondola up to the top of Sulphur Mountain.
If you haven't broadcast a glare across the Rocky Mountain peaks in anticipation of your first ski run of the day at Sunshine or Lake Louise mountain resorts....maybe put it on your bucket list.
Hi Gabe have you ever considered to visit Greece during in winter as it is one of your favourite destinations. We have plenty of ski resorts and great mountainous destinations.
Hey Gabriel! We’ve been following you for some time, and are global explorers as well. We live near Red Deer, and would have loved to shoot over for a pint with you. However, we’re in Malaysia for a month, (one week left), then off to India for four months ( spent 5.5 months there two winters ago). Happy trails. 🍻
I didn't know what happened since I don't follow him, but I just checked his channel. Curious to hear his story, he just posted a new video today so I'll watch it.
I saw the signs, they were a little confusing because some said snow tires required and some said snow tires or else carry chains. So I wasn't sure if just having chains was good enough.
Good video. Everything looks so orderly and sanitized and boring compared to all the other places you go. Plus surrounded by American tourists what could be worse. A neat way for us to see Canada though.
Interesting comparison. The highest elevation in Belgium is 694 meters. The highest elevation in Canada is 5,959 meters. The total area of Belgium is 30,000 kms. The total area of Canada is 10 million kms. Based on those stats it's safe to say that Canada is a fair amount more interesting.
Really enjoying the Canadian content. Stunning winter scenery.
Canada is awesome. Totally different level
That hike was beautiful, the evergreen snow covered trees, the mountains were breathtaking, it must be so beautiful in person❄️
That mountain you asked about is called Castle Mountain. Canmore's main street area is very nice. Less crowded than banff & beautiful mountain views as well. JK bakery is a nice spot for sandwiches, donuts, pastries, etc.
Castle Mountain, I see, that makes sense. I saw signs for it.
Beautiful Canadian Rockies. That snow looks magical on the trees. Great video 😊

This series on Canada is amazing!
Sweet, glad you're enjoying it.
Spectacular

Worth it! Thanks a lot!
So used to seeing gabe in hot sunny locations, hope you are enjoying the cold and snow.
Gabriel you truly bring a real perspective to the places you visit. Thank you so much for sharing

Awesome vids Gabriel!
Love the videos of banff
Good job
Pretty 😊❤
The drive to Jasper is awesome, so many cool stops off the highway. The icefields parkway is a great drive.
Agree, I did it on the way to Jasper in 2008 and then when I left, but that was before I was filming videos.
Yeia sou Gariel! Amazing hike!
Rock on!

🎉🎉🎉
The drive from Banff to Jasper is very scenic, but sometimes I think the road closes in winter depending on the weather
Great to see that Sabbatical Tommy is safe and sound. There are a lot of geographical similarities between Canada and Russia, but fortunately for Canada that's where the similarities end.

thankyou 😊🧭
Rolling hillMountains, there is a valley similar to this called Rolwaling in Nepal, such a spectacular town and views and people 👍🏻
Very picturesque! Such grandeur! I know you get up in the States, but you were born in Canada so it's your country too, mate! 🏔 🍁
I remember moraine lake was beautiful, it has a amazing colour to it
Ahh you should come back in the summer and see Lake Moraine
Ah yes - I recognize that hotel shown in opening scene nestled in the snowy mountains valley. It’s featured in the 1980 horror film The Shining
27:55 Hat from Georgia... 👍
To be clear, Tbilisi, not Atlanta.
I'm glad that didn't turn into a survival situation 😮
I can't disagree with that.
Emerald Lake is also amazing, I highly recommend it
I went there when all the parking was taken at Moraine Lake at 3 or 4 am 😂
Beautiful nice lake, great walk around it, amazing views sunrise and sunset
I hope you made it back OK. I know we are near Edmonton and it gets dark around 4:30 p.m.
Beautiful 🤗👍
America is a beautiful geography, Canada and Cuba have to be the two must beautiful places, in America, both must be visited in winter. saludos
I would never go onto the lake.
Open spots you can't see. 😮😮

Lake Louise is still in Alberta, it’s near the BC border
Correct
True, but at the end when I was hiking in the snow I was in Yoho park, in BC.

I love experiencing winter...for a week or two.
Hoping my CRV lasts as long as yours has!

The Fairmont hotel at Lake Louise is a nice stop for a Quick Look.
I'll show the inside of it in the next video.
At 37:20 , the inner Peace you must have felt, all alone on that lake . Comment 2 - Will you be taking the Banff Gondola up to the top of Sulphur Mountain.

👍👍👍
Look for auroras too Gabe. I watch the sunshine village-Banff aurora can sometimes. Nice vid. Thanks
Good idea, I'll keep my eyes open, problem could be clouds and sleeping.
Hi Gabe have you ever considered to visit Greece during in winter as it is one of your favourite destinations. We have plenty of ski resorts and great mountainous destinations.
I spent ten days in Mykonos in winter a few years ago, had the old town all to myself: ua-cam.com/video/V6N-nqpLREs/v-deo.html
Did you know Jovi Josh when you worked in Lake Louise?
I didn't work in Lake Louise, I worked in Jasper.

14:56 thats CASTLE MOUNTAIN
Got it.
At one time it was was called Mount Eisenhower
WOW What an adventure! please be aware of the bears and if you want to feel warm think about Greece lol
How is the crv going?
Still going.
@ best 4x4 ever made and Honda knew how to make them, bulletproof engine, I love that machine. Hope all is well too 👍
I've had it 4 1/2 years, had to replace the radiator twice which was a bit strange but other than that it's been super reliable.
Καλησπέρα, nice video Gab! What about to start upload your videos at 4K?
Hey Gabe, will you be making a statement on Sabbatical's circumstance?
I didn't know what happened since I don't follow him, but I just checked his channel. Curious to hear his story, he just posted a new video today so I'll watch it.
💖💖💖👍👍👍
Jasper had been reopened for months and desperate for tourists.
How's everything going?
So far, so good.
3th 😊❤🇧🇦⛰🏔🗻
british columbia requires mandatory snow tires
I saw the signs, they were a little confusing because some said snow tires required and some said snow tires or else carry chains. So I wasn't sure if just having chains was good enough.

Gabe - have you seen your fellow travel vlogger Sabatical latest video? Thoughts?
Is Canada the most boring country in the world? Probably, along with Belgium. Safe travels

First😁
You got it, good job.
You cut it close! I'd hate to be out there in the dark 😮
Very pretty. It looks like my state NH.
must be canada.. land of the tax and huge prices....
snowy canada
