Gen Wilson Mbadi becomes Chief of Defence Forces

- President Museveni has promoted his former bodyguard, Wilson Mbasu Mbadi from the rank of Lt Gen. to General and appointed him Chief of Defence Forces.
Gen Mbadi replaces General David Muhoozi who was recently appointed Minister of State for Internal Affairs.
Before this, Mbadi was deputy Chief of Defence Forces, a position soon to be handed to Lt. Gen Peter Elwelu in the new changes.
