You taught me this game. This is the first ever PC game I played on my first ever PC, at 44 years old. I've probably commented something similar in the past but laying here in bed not feeling good, thinking about coming back to the game...hearing your voice talking about this game that means so much to me... I commented on Geek Cupboards vid the other day, you guys got me through the pandemic. You kept me calm and brought me a reassurance. Hearing your voice still does that and that's a blessing I'm grateful for. Thank you. Much love to you and your family from Mrs Fabrik and I.
Good starting tips. I appreciate all your videos. I united Spain then looked at Sicily and the whole royal family had back issues. Fortunately the princess I married to my heir had six healthy children in eight years (!) without her family trait 😮
Found this channel when I started playing CK3 and was so damned helpful. Also love the 40k content. High production value and quality content. Keep em coming.
Hey dude, as a new player who had adhd and is not good at strategy games, you've really helped me be able to have some fun. Thank you, Your videos have a great format and clear information. Ty ty
I have my own problems, don't know if they are ADHD/ ADD related but whatever you have I like how you point out that guides really do make more difficult games accessible sometimes. Extremely helpful indeed.
For your heir its better to have two low tier congenital traits than one high tier. So a quick-comely is better than a genius, because even if they don't inherit the trait they have a 75% change to have that trait as a "recessive gene", and in the next generation they have a 100% chance to inherit that trait if you marry them to someone possessing that trait again. So suppose you marry a quick-comely girl but your heir is only quick. There's a 75% chance that he also has a recessive comely trait, and if you marry him to a comely/pretty/beautiful woman, your grandkids would 100% have that trait! Really helpful for getting "Strong blood".
We need an updated guide for 2024 with the latest dlcs changing some things. Loving the content as always, sir. Haven't played since 2021, so this helps refresh me.
Not cheesing, it's hard enough to marry somebody and get them to actual join your court, if the spouse is already in with a liege they won't join your court anyways
this is what i need. tried ck2 and ck 3 but after the base tutorial i have no clue what is going on or what i need to do. even had my empire fall apart due to the death of my guy and having to many childeren and having to reconquer it all
I play with everything on low (ever since I got my Steamdeck I'd just gotten used to putting all gfx settings to low lol) I thought the extra look you had on terrain was cuz you had it on a higher setting, thanks for mentioning the mod you use!
Great video with essential setup tips! The matrilineal thing is easy to overlook and I've lost my share of valuable women that way. Note that checking matrilineal should only happen for women. You didn't mention explicitly that for men you want it to be unchecked, i.e. non-matrilineal. (I know you know this, but some people may not catch this.) Very much looking forward to your Victoria 3 guides!
Yeah I just spent big bucks luring a really good physician in and mere weeks later I marry her to a peasant (I KNEW about the matrilineal thing, but I thought since she's on my court and this is simply a peasant she won't leave but...) and I LOST HER! Never EVER taking that button for granted again :(. I didn't know about the find character function however, that could be fun!
My brother's as well. I have been strangely successful with it. I always keep my primary and secondary heir stacked with counties. Then they usually have enough political capital to save me from revolution.
I wish Paradox would change how big the penalty for differing faiths is when it comes to marriage. Christian women were used as peace cows during that period in time so Pagans and Christians married not sure how regularly but it did happen. Edward the elder married his daughter Edith to Sihtric viking king of North Umbria. Marrying a Catholic woman to an Asatru viking or vice versa is virtually impossible in game.
Btw Sparty, as a CK3 video/stream why not do a multiplayer game again? Ik we were brainstorming for ideas in the chat and I just thought about it earlier today but obviously it’s only if u want to and it’s doable
lol shut up hater. He's one of the most coherent, clear and structured youtubers on CK3. Others either have extremely annoying voices, are not very clear/structured or miss a lot of things (not all of course). This guy's tips are very in-depth, he literally has a whole playlist on explaining different mechanics.
@@Fives179 no way fanboy, the videos are mostly useless babbling, never really answering any questions. And if you search CK3 all you get is pages of his useless videos. It is extremely frustrating how he abuses the algorithm this way.
@@michael_stocker are you actually braindead or just trolling? There's literally chapters in the video that state what he is talking about - this beginner checklist goes through all the things you should take care of when first starting a game - marrying primary characters, assigning different tasks, how to choose who to marry children to etc. Every chapter is clear on what it achieves. His 9 tips video is also super good and made me a better player. How is he not 'answering' questions? What questions do you have left that are unanswered, can you give examples? Sure, it is impossible to mention every possible detail about this game cause it's fucking huge so things will be left out, but he goes extremely in-depth.
@@Fives179 I'm not trolling and I am certainly not brain-dead; however, I suspect you are a lowly fanboy or club ball washer. I have literally seen videos of this guy running his mouth while staying on the same screen the whole time doing everything but answer the question that his video claims to answer. The disgusting abuse of the you tube algorithm that clutters up search screens with his mostly useless videos is my biggest gripe though.

This is such a nice thing to read. I'm glad you found the game! I just found it recently and fell in love with it too
Idk what's so nice about hearing familiar voice taking about favorite game but it's a bit therapeutic, fa sho
You should try it with a controller. A bit more time consuming but it's definitely worth the comfort of layin back and playing it on a big screen

I would love to see a video about creating your own characters/rulers and starting a campaign that way.
They’re just there to role play you do whatever you want with it. Or you can make them utterly overpowered but that’s boring.

What this game is perfect for adhd. Eight hours ingame feel like 30 minutes in the real world

Best video for CR3 beginners and ive seen a lot. Many usefull tips. Thank you. Greetings from Germany.
also for CK3 beginners

I did not know the matrilineal marrying courtiers to snag knights and councilors thing still worked. Is a good cheese that won’t make you feel bad.
I mean... it feels historically accurate enough
@@imouto-sana7161 exactly so many fairytales tell about hero marrying into kings family and staying in kingdom to serve him.

need something like this for victoria 3!

20:45 I can’t seem to follow this part, every time I look it makes me laugh.
Comment for algorithm + suggestion for next video being maybe 10 QOL mods, or overhaul mods or unit mods etc etc! Love the content l!
Just picked up this game from Steam sale with all DLC included. Seems to be a lot less confusing and far more accessible than Victoria 3.
20:45 Every time I do it makes me laugh.
This game hard asf to learn 😂
Yes!!!
Marry kids to a clan with a super old person and then ask them to join war. Even if the other person dies, that clan finishes the war with you.
Why don't you ever make your own ruler?

Another way to get rid of your Chaplain is to swap him to some other job then get rid of him out of that job.
I played Apulia in ck2 and ended up with half the world in jihad against me.
