SE series (built in Indonesia) are great. Mahogany (mahoni, Indonesian) and rosewood (sonokeling, Indonesian) grow a lot in Indonesia. Even some guitar manufacturers have used Makassar ebony for the fretboard. Those woods have good quality and easy to get here.
I don’t know why everyone who reviews this guitar is unable to reproduce the tones as nicely as you. I’ve watched three or four other reviews on this guitar and you are the first one to be able to truly demonstrate its total range. You have convinced me. Thank you very much.

I got mine last Thursday, and it is a fantastic guitar. Extremely well made, plays great, sounds galore and all killer, no filler.
im a new prs se fanboy. just got a fredrik akkerson secondhand on reverb and its the first guitar ive ever got that didnt have a single high fret. also some of the best tuners ive ever used. also the ebony they are using makes other brands look brown.

Am I wrong or did PRS change all their pickups in the last year or so? They sound so much better to me 😍
They did. they used to be way hotter (tone furnace I believe was the name) good for metal not much else. The new ones sound better to me

I guess you can look it up and read about the specs that have changed over the years I have three of them a 2016 SE custom 22 with tonefurnace pick ups .a 2019 with 85/15s and a 2023 with 58/15s also a 2017 SE. Santana that has its own Santana pick ups. I have read specs on all of them . There is nothing wrong with the old tf pick ups they just didn't suit me.
@@bobbychubb6913 Do you know which pickups are considered better amongst PRS pickups?? I was told to get S2 10th anniversary because they have the core pickups.

I'm going to pick one up used, at a discount, from some PRS fanboy snob who gets one expecting it will make him sound like Dave Grissom. When the disappointment hits he will sell it and move on to the next PRS guitar he hopes will make him sound good. It never ends with some people.

The problem is, because it's going to be a desirable model, used prices will probably be too high. The hype this guitar's had on social media, they will sell loads though, so you never know, the used market may be saturated!
@@ParaBellum2024 I think you are right there. Can't fault your logic. I had that in mind at the time...I'm hoping it doesn't but it will probably be as you predict. I got two SE's that just rock and together cost me just over $800 so I'm bucks ahead anyway and with P90's. You a PRS player Chuck? Best Regards and Best Wishes Sir!
@@hanovergreen4091 Thank you! I've hardly ever played PRS guitars, but with all the recent hype have become "PRS-curious". My preference is for Fenders, and single coils. I do have a Squier Jim Root Tele though, which has humbuckers.
