English here with a Scottish girlfriend who is a passionate Hibs fan and have attended games with her. Yes Premier League is years ahead of this league thanks to the money pumped in but Ive been to several SPL games that have been great to watch with a great atmosphere from the fans who are just out to enjoy that particular game on the day and not think much beyond that. Yes the league may lack competition at the very top with the Old Firm dominating and sadly I dont see that changing but it makes it all the more special when one of the other clubs beats them to a trophy. And that does happen more often than some people think.
Sutton is very astute , he knows what he’s talking about and has a very broad knowledge of football in general , I’ve never seen him back down or lose an argument yet and it’s great to see how loyal he is to Scottish football and Celtic, his old club in particular 👍
Well said Chris, coming from Rangers fan. You love the club you love, and it is all relative regardless of the league. One of my favorite Scottish players was Roy Aitken . . . spilled his guts for Celtic and his country. Take that media world and shove it!
I love Big Chris as a Celtic fan but I also love him for his love of the Scottish game ... you only have to listen to his co-commentary or punditry on any Scottish team ... he has a deep knowledge of the players strength and weaknesses (even the 17 year olds in the league) ... he's fair and he's balanced although he does love a wee wind up with your team.
The Scottish teams in the Premier League are a laugh and joke because apart from Rangers no other Scottish team is left in Europe till after the New Year,Brendan Rogers can't win the treble this season because Ranges lifted the Via Play Cup by beating Aberdeen 1-0,Scottish teams in a whole can't compete against the European elite like Liverpool,Manchester City,AC.Milan,Napoli,Inter Milan,Bayern Munich,Barcelona,Real Madrid,Borussia Dortmund,PSG,Athletic Madrid,Bayer Leverkusen,Atalanta,Red Bull Leipzig,Yuventus.
And John Sutton argued with the pod cast presenter that the Scottish game is doing great and that the Scottish grounds are the best in Europe which is a lie and fans fill the Stadiums but not all SPFL grounds are full some are half empty,While other countries their grounds are always full or almost full.
Chris for the first time ever I totally agree with you,,unless you have played for Celtic or Rangers people down south will never understand,,our clubs don’t have 50 million to spend on bang average players like some clubs have done down south,,we get peanut’s from tv revenue,,they just don’t get it,,that’s why both clubs will never play down south,,imagine Celtic and Rangers getting premier league type revenue
Souness regretted leaving Scottish football For his Love, Wilkins said he wished he came sooner Larson played 7 glorious years played for Barca and Man U in his later seasons
Ladyman must have a very short memory...before the cash kings arrived in Englad teams in Scotland could more than hold their own when it came to paying player wages and attracting big names. The old firm also beat England's top teams regularly in Europe
@gumbo7215yea so do did Celtic, Rangers, Aberdeen and Dundee united. Point still stands that the English league with sky absolutely destroyed what football once was.
Well said Chris, notice the English journalist didn’t come back on why he picked on Celtic rather than choosing to do a hatchet job on Man U or Newcastle. I guess he isn’t aware that football in Scotland prior to Sky BT Viaplay was successfully televised by BBC Scotland and STV both live and highlights and that if Celtic and Rangers left for EPL then the 2 Scottish based channels would very happily televise (admittedly less budget but would be to a level to fund the remaining clubs) and the other clubs would keep on as successful as now if not stronger as they’d have more Europe games than now. Agree also Rodgers may well have motives other than money which seems to be your “colleague’s “ only motivation and maybe a desire to complete what he left unfinished 1st time around and get a settled team with the core of stars staying (not disappearing off to EPL or Saudi etc) and adding a couple of upgrades each window then in year 3 making a challenge in the revised CL or maybe he just loves Celtic and is a lifelong fan like Lennon and McNeill were who managed Celtic twice stepping in at a crisis time. Thanks Chris for always standing up for Scottish football and keeping up to date watching games live rather than those who just comment off highlights and press stories like many of Talksport lot or English journalists.
The fact that, after everything Chris mentioned, Ian can still only focus on Celtic and Rangers and the value they would bring to English football is truly revealing. Well done Chris for applying relativity and putting a sensible and strong argument forward for our game up here. We have a solid, well-supported product and money hasn't ripped the heart out of it. Long may it continue.
Comparing Scottish football to English football is like comparing apples and oranges. We absolutely love the product we have in Scotland. Is it the best league or even considered top 10? No or course it’s not. Scottish football has two horses sure but that’s purely because they are both absolutely massive clubs with a lot of great history. When the premier league came in and they made the tv deals with sky and all the rest of it it gave the English league an astronomical amount of funds that even the best leagues in the world at the time like La Liga & Serie A couldn’t compete with. They have been for years the exact same thing that the Saudi Pro League is becoming. Everyone flocked to the Prem because they became the most competitive league in the world (with the most money for simply competing in it) and all the other leagues lost their talent to them. What’s happening now is the supporters within the prem are having all their best players snapped up by the Saudi PL like has already happened before. In Scotland the winners of our league get I’d say maybe 5 million, compare that to getting 100 million just for finishing bottom. How can you compare that? Scotland don’t have anywhere near close to the money within the league to pay better players and spend more on transfer. Rangers and Celtic do pretty well in Europe against these odds. Yeah we can’t compete in the champions league, but Rangers were finalist in the same competition as West Ham were quarter finalists and on their way to that final put out European Giants (in terms of wealth) Leipzig and Dortmund over 2 legs. That’s mighty impressive from a tiny league with not very much revenue. Of course we find this ignorant attitude offensive. Because it’s so easy from an English point of view to simply say we’re embarrassing or not to a high enough standard. If Rangers and Celtic got put into the English Prem with at least 3 years of equal revenue even to the relegated teams, sure we’d be able to compete, because the two clubs are some of the best supported clubs in the world. No bad for two wee teams fae wee Scotland eh?
Well done pal .said everything I was about to say .I am a celtic supporter. It's hard to compete in the wealth of the champions league.but I know both big teams in Scotland are giving there all .
Yep, thats WHY the english premiership will NEVER allow Celtic or sevco to join their league. Imagine being the englishman in charge, when Celtic and sevco join, and within 10 years, have won a premiership. Imagine, a Scottish team, who'd so recently been allowed to join, won an english league title. Haha, he'd get crucified. H.H
When most English players come up they are surprised at the quality of the the Scottish league I would rather listen to them who have experienced playing in both leagues than spectators
Big Chris tellt Ladyman there ... then tellt and tellt and tellt him again ... I'm a Celtic fan and love the Big Man but I also love him for his knowledge of and passion for the Scottish game and as this vid showed he'll stick up for it time and time again with a reasoned case and an attitude that will brook no nonsense from the doubters.
There is NO SUCH thing as 'English' football. ALL the billions are all funded by foreign corporations. ALL the Premier League teams are OWNED by foreigners...and most of the Players, Managers and staff are foreign. Additionally, more and more people in Englandshire are foreign also...and that's massively increasing also.
Fair play to Chris Sutton, he is reeling off stats that I never knew about Scottish football…most supported league in Europe…happy days, come to Scotland if you like football 😊😊😊😊
As a Celtic fan I love Chris Sutton and the way he is always fair-minded about Scottish football. The journalist he is talking to is just yet another patronising Englishman who ignores the fact the Premiership is the richest league in the world. He is basing Celtic's European performances on one match. A 6-0 defeat yes, but after having a player sent off after 25 minutes. And by the way it was never in a million years a sending off. We outplayed Lazio and Madrid at home and were unlucky not to win both games. Against Feyenoord we had two players sent off yet still only lost 2-0. Brendan is getting us to play in a certain style and it takes times to implement. Even as a Scotsman I usually cheer for England in big tournaments but not anymore as I am sick to death of the superior tone of their fans and press whenever Scottish football is mentioned. And if their Premiership was so utterly amazing how come they hardly ever have one of their teams win the Champions League? Man City were lucky to win it last time and Real Madrid beat THREE English teams the previous season on their way to another Champions League title. By the way the Premiership is full of foreigners. The best players aren't even English! LOL
@markcampbell1466...City were lucky last season? 😳... Just to get to the final they had to beat Sevilla, Copenhagen, Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid!! And then beat Inter Milan in the final!... If you think that's a easy route to winning the Champions league, your having a laugh!... 😬.. I feel your having a go at City because many of our fans also support Rangers! 🙄
Sorry, but your pundits like Sutton are a great example of how the league is just a bad joke. Chris Sutton, the "unbiased football pundit" literally argues with Rangers players and fans over social media as does Kris Boyd the other "unbiased football pundit" with the Celtic fanbase. That's just ridiculously unprofessional, how could you take what they say seriously when they do that? Literally Keyboard warrior pundits. When you also factor in the astroturf pitches, football from the 1970s, and the fact that Celtic have been knocked out of Europe by Norwegian, Danish, Czech, and bloody Hungarian sides in recent seasons means the journalist isn't that far off 🤣
Bang on Chris. If celtic and rangers left scottish football its not as if every other team would fold, as he said it is the best supported league (per capita) in Europe. All that would change is that it would be more competitive and in theory be a more interesting league than it is now.
True but the old firm massively skew that average attendance rating. If you watch a league match at Easter Road/Pittodrie/McDiarmid Park/Livingston/Rugby Park/Den's Park etc that don't involve Rangers or Celtic then the grounds are often half empty at best
It's easy to have a pop at the SPL when they're next door to us with a 65 million population country and unlimited money. Compare the SPL to other countries with a population of 5 million and they're doing ok. Norway/Ireland/Slovakia/Finland/Bulgaria/Wales/Denmark/Slovenia/Croatia etc etc - It's not a fault of the country that their leagues don't generate huge investment. Rangers have nearly won two European trophies recently and Celtic have 60k fans a week. Not exactly Moldova or Lithuania.
The Premier League in England is just a millionaires' playground, a league which entices every money grabbing footballer from all over the World, whose only goal is to amass as much money as they can. The days of club loyalty is a long gone. Comparing the EPL and SPFL is nonsensical; the disparity in club revenue is huge. As Chris rightly pointed out, Man Utd spent over £400m on players and yet couldn't defeat Copengagen away from home. If Celtic and Rangers were ever invited to play in the rich league down south, and accrue the income of those clubs, then they would soon eclipse most teams in that league - and that is a distinct probability.
The Scottish game is strangled by poor investment, but we still turn up to the stands. When Rangers got to the Europa final a couple of seasons ago, there was genuine excitement as opposed to an expectance to be there. An excitement that can't be bought.
Chris Sutton is a legend. Scottish Football has had some fantastic players who state the game in Scotland is not as bad as folk say. Comparisons with massive debt and huge spending, is unfair. It’s the game that matters … not overpriced players and money.
Ian .....when was the last time an English Manager won the Prem title or European trophy?...Sad reading....the "poverty" of English Football Managers..... Chris well done for showing the hack up!!
Regardless of what team you support, Sutton really does stick up for the Scottish game, obviously helps that he's played in some of the toughest rivalries in the world, some man 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
The biggest gulf between English and Scottish football is and always has been population. More people, more money, more investment, better competition, better TV deals, better product, attract better player. 8 cities in Scotland; when the 4th biggest city has a lower population than Doncaster, that tells you all you need to know.
Well done Chris Sutton 👏🏻👍🏻 I would like nothing more as a Hearts fan to disagree with Sutton but he 100% correct Celtic and Rangers are mammoths not just in Scotland but Europe then the 3rd being Hearts but as much as I would love the Scottish league to be more on an even playing field it is what it is and it makes it even better when other teams in Scotland do beat either of the old firm and I believe if those guys went down south after a few years of that premier league money then they would compete eventually based on sheer size and history
Ranger & Celtic minnows in Europe could never complete in England champioship at best. No suprise a supporter of Rangers 2nd club Hearts lthinking other wise.
@@chubbygallasso they are one of the biggest clubs in Europe 🤣🤣 what are you talking about? I'm a Rangers fan who agrees with a lot of what Chris Sutton says. Yes he winds up Rangers fans, I have no problem with that, his colours are nailed to Celtics mast and that's fine, it doesn't lessen his arguments when defending the Scottish game. If it's true it's true no matter who says it.
Rangers and Celtic are without doubt two of the biggest clubs in world football simply because of their respective cultures and the traditions they represent, they both have glorious histories and worldwide fan bases, I have seen African Americans walking down 5th Avenue in new york on paddys day wearing Celtic shirts, the reach of both clubs is phenomenal.
You go Chris. We all understand that Scottish football is at a lower level. If people want to follow it and go to matches that is up to them. Ladyman writes columns and has to generate controversary.
Celtic drew 2-2 with Atletico Madrid just two weeks ago. Got a dodgy red card and then crumbled in Madrid but if we are that out of our depth how come we drew with Atletico two weeks ago, lost to Lazio by a 9th minute goal after totally dominating the game.
Come on, be honest. Celtic's record in Europe in recent seasons has been appalling. Look at the teams they have been losing to.. from Denmark, Greece, Norway, Romania, Hungary etc . So that's losing regularly to teams from very average leagues, all the evidence shows Celtic are clearly out of their depth in Europe, season after season we see the same thing!
Here we are with another English expert wanting a strong Scottish league. Why don't they ask their English broadcasting companies for a fair share of the British TV money to go to Scottish football?
I think Chris picked the wrong argument here to be honest. The article was questioning Brendan Rodgers' ambition for going back to Celtic. My counter question to that would be, where else could Rodgers have gone, and what would qualify as a success? Liverpool, Man City and Arsenal seem reasonably settled with their managers. The other teams that are in the hunt, Man Utd, Spurs etc, dont really have a realistic chance of winning the league. They spend fortunes and change managers every other year. I think the only options Rodgers would have had would be to go to another Leceister situation. An ambitious mid-table team who could maybe get a top 6 finish, and that would be a success, is that anything to get excited about? Or he goes to Celtic who like to develop young players, which is something Rodgers enjoys. He is going to be winning trophies, backed by an incredible support, there is one of the best rivalries in world football that generates a lot of excitement and passion, and finally, even though recent UCL results haven't been the best, both Glasgow clubs have shown that they can perform and compete well in Europe. I think that is the one area where Rodgers really wants to make his mark over the next few seasons.
Believe it or not, I could see him being the next England boss. Reasons 1. The Celtic board don't splash out money on transfers or, at least, they've taken in more for sales over the years than they tend to invest. Rodgers is already making comments to the press about not being backed in the transfer window. I wouldn't be surprised if things get frosty behind the scenes. I expect him to win the league but I wouldn't be surprised if he takes the next opportunity that comes his way. 2. Southgate seems likely to move on after next summer's Euros. Where do the FA go then? Pep, Klopp, Emery, Arteta.....I doubt that any of them favour an international job over a bigger club job. What English managers are there that are doing fairly well? Howe - I doubt he'd leave that job unless sacked and he's doing pretty decent so far. So if the FA can't get an English manager with much experience at the top level and they can't attract a foreign manager already at one of the PL large clubs then they seem likely to look for a foreign manager with experience of English football (otherwise they might have another Capello situation where someone comes in and all unity goes). There's not many of them currently active in football. Rodgers is the first one that comes to my mind. Mourinho would fall out with the FA within weeks and would be divisive. Benitez - can't really see it. There are very few English managers at the highest level and very few foreign managers with much positive experience within the PL who are still active and seem likely to take the job.
We only watch Scottish football cause theres nothing better, utter BS. if thats the point he wants to make, why do people support Salford City ... answer its to do with passion and pride
Whatever you thin of Sutton - he was a class player, and maybe knows a little more about the game than any journalist. We (Dundee) had his bro and he was great for us as well.
exactly......tired old tropes about Scottish football....he probably couldn't even list the teams in the SPL but has an "expert opinion" on everything that's wrong with Scottish football. I'm a part time Ross County supporter and it's not all about winning and seeing top quality players, it's about community and the occassional moment of joy. Certain English journalists (and Scottish ones) need to get out and about a bit more
@@albertdong Well said mate. I'm a Hibs fan and always enjoy people who couldn't name one Hibs player giving me an expert analysis on which dreadful lower English league we'd struggle in.
@@Support-your-local-team yes well I'm utterly sick of English people talking about Scottish teams playing in the English league. It typifies an English mindset of ownership or overlordship, looking at the Scottish league as if a buffet from which they can choose this or that. What other country has its league looked at like this byt the country next door? Which other country would even tolerate it? Only brow-beaten Scotland. What a terrible neighbour it has.
@@Support-your-local-team Punditry and media in general are so unprofessional in Scotland that it's not even funny. Chris Sutton literally argues with Rangers players never mind just fans over Twitter meanwhile Kris Boyd does the same with the Celtic fanbase, these are apparently the "top" pundits in the country. Could you imagine Roy Keane, Neville, Henry, or any of that lot being caught arguing with players they're supposed to be critiquing in an "unbiased" manner? They don't know anything about the other league teams either. Ask Sutton or Boyd to name the regular back 4 of Motherwell or Hibs without googling it and they would have no clue but they're "league experts" apparently.
Well said Chris,a bet Simione has loads a respect for Celtic and the chances of them doing anything in Europe all the sides in that group will have ,and Celtic are very capable of winning the last two games and am a Rangers fan ,but a respect any side that plays attacking exiting football
Rangers and Celtic will never be allowed to join the English premiership because if we got the same money as the rest and of the size of clubs we are we've got a belter chance of winning the league, EFA would never let a Scottish team win an English league
Scottish football provides some huge players for the English leagues. Without Scottish players PROVIDED BY THE SCOTTISH LEAGUE , Premier League would be poorer.
West Ham won an absolute non event of a European trophy. An average Rangers team got to a way more competitive Europa League final. If Celtic had to play in the Europa Confrence league, they’d win that too
The last non old firm club to win the league was Aberdeen in 1985. That isn't a great statistic. As a Jambo, we should have won it in '86 but we blew it big time. Ian makes some harsh but fair points.
Rodgers was sacked at Leicester for taking them into the relegation zone , it is almost impossible for him not to win the league in Scotland with Celtic. He went from Celtic to Leicester (where he failed) & then back to Celtic
"The best supported league" is one way to interpret the data. Another is to say that there are too many teams proportionate to the population. Our third biggest club is arguably Aberdeen, who struggle to fill their stadium at home most weeks. It does frustrate me the arrogance towards Scottish football from the super rich english league, but lets not pretend there's not a self-serving element to Sutton trying to protect his own reputation given much of his success came up here, as opposed to some anti-elitist evangelism.
Let’s be really honest here …. Celtic & Rangers if they were in England would be mid table championship teams, and easily be the biggest spenders !! Don’t understand what the argument is about Chris
That journalist is trying to use the 6-0 Athletico Madrid result, one result, as a basis for why Celtic don’t belong in the Champions League, it’s ridiculous. I think he’s forgetting we were all over them the first leg, we drew 2-2 that game, we were up first on both occasions, and the second leg one of our forwards got a red card and we played almost 75 minutes of football with 10 men, it might have been a closer result to the first game if that didn’t happen. It’s ridiculous to try and use that one result to put forward the notion that we don’t belong there. We showed in the first leg we competed, and their own manager said we were by far the hardest team they had faced in the group, so this journalists comments are nonsense. I guess Man United don’t belong in the EPL since Liverpool beat them 7-0? That’s essentially what he’s saying. It’s the height of stupidity and as a journalist it’s embarrassing haven’t such uninformed and misguided views and comments. Look at the facts, and the fact is we have got to the last 16 in the CL, beat several teams over the past decade, and showed we belong there. We were the first team in the UK to win the competition in 1967. No we haven’t done as well as we’d have liked in recent years, but we definitely belong there.
Top teams in both leagues BUY titles, BUY better players and therefore attract a bigger following with bigger attendances. If every club in the world was capped on how much they can spend equally then it would be a different situation. The money that some “gifted” divas get paid is ridiculous and it’s time football had a reality check.
Ian Ladyman is correct the EPL is the top league for TV money, top league for paying ludicrous wages and an Oil money whore who have sold the jerseys a long time ago. What they have failed at is remembering that it is game of the people, losing passionate fans for spreadsheets, selling to people who either want profit or are politics washing. The football in Scotland might not be "the best" but it is honest, raw, competitive (for the most part) and full of passion, on and off the pitch. Just the way we like it. I used to watch English football before the money moved in - lost interest after the "prawn sandwich" people ruined it.
Listen this needs highlighting as it translates to boxing too. When Josh Taylor fought Jack Catterall while let’s be honest was a close fight and Josh probably was lucky to get the nod. The Scathing English journalists gutted there man got beat especially within a hostile Scottish crowd. I mean Adam Booth should’ve and still should’ve been sacked for his screaming unprofessional behaviour narrowly avoided calling it a fix was downright disgusting. Please watch the fight in silence you’ll realise how close it was. The anti Scottish sentiment of these gutted bad losers all journalists had that night was downright pathetic. The seriousness of this created a hate campaign against Josh who didn’t referee the fight so done nothing wrong culminated not only him receiving death threats but calls at his home to his wife threatening her and her family.
Chris this guy has already made up his mind to stick to his guns before hand rather give you the respect you deserve and take the opportunity to learn and understand why he upset so many people. Anti Scottish sentiment is always bubbling under the surface with English journalism as long as I can remember going back to the early seventies.
Chris Sutton doesn't know what he's blabering on about,Scottish football and teams in the Premier League is a mess hopeless in European competitions apart from Rangers who are the only Scottish team left in Europe till after the New Year,How did Celtic fair in this season's Champions League the hoops finished rock bottom in their Group because their useless,And no treble for the new hopeless manager Brendan Rogers because Rangers beat Aberdeen 1 goal to zoero.
Chris Suttons right - Ian Ladyman is basically saying, if you can't spend gazillions and have big sponsorship you're not worthy - the EPL skews football badly, 'til every kid growing up thinks THAT's what football is - well, in the main, for the majority, it's not.
Here Hector! We've got passports & electricity now in Scotland so if we wanted we can go as far as we want to watch football as we do each year following a REAL Football team.
If Celtic and Rangers left for England, in my opinion, the SPL would be the better for it. Might not get the TV deals, which is a pretty forgone conclusion, but punters would still turn up and support their clubs. Unlike in England, where even the biggest supported clubs have empty seats, which would be a bigger problem if the tourists didn’t keep going to games. Football is in a place now where it should never have been, in the elite’s pockets. It is no longer a working class sport, it is a money making exercise for people (and countries) with dubious histories who are looking to make a quick buck, and that’s just sad
@@MickyO567 I see your point. I think if it was Sir Alex Ferguson it would carry more weight, but Sutton was barely a manger. I wonder if politicians should carry a higher weight of opinion as well, compared to ordinary folk, when it comes to political views. Or do we have an equal say?
You have to strike a balance - if you are too negative then it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. But it certainly is not where it could be. Difficult to find nuance when the media sensationalize to get people to tune in
The arrogance and elitism from English pundits really is something else. We could all have a great league if we got the same money they get pumped into them. It's pathetic 😂
I actually don't think anything Ian Ladyman said is wrong necessarily in terms of Brandon and his career. The main counter argument for me would be it is a safe job in which he can bounce back after the Leicester City job, if he so wants to manage in the prem again. That said, I like how Sutton sticks up for the Scottish game. I'm English and love the history of our game, how different teams over the years have competed and won trophies and how success is never permanent, the old saying 'every dog has it's day'. But I don't feel the need to compare to Scottish football... I can appreciate it for what it is. Scottish football still has a bit of the old school feel to it, similar to the lower leagues in England, which I like. Even out side of the Old Firm, there are many interesting rivalries (Edinburgh derby , Dundee derby , Highland derby etc). Maybe it is because my team (Sheffield United) are struggling bad in the prem right now, but I do feel it is overhyped and over-commercialized. Anyway, no lack of respect for the Scottish game from this Englishman.
The biggest mistake a journalist can make is underestimating Chiris Sutton’s knowledge of Scottish football and football in general. In his punditry he is always calm and confident. Every time I watch him speaking on games I always feel he leaves the rest behind.👍

And John Sutton argued with the pod cast presenter that the Scottish game is doing great and that the Scottish grounds are the best in Europe which is a lie and fans fill the Stadiums but not all SPFL grounds are full some are half empty,While other countries their grounds are always full or almost full.

@gumbo7215yea so do did Celtic, Rangers, Aberdeen and Dundee united. Point still stands that the English league with sky absolutely destroyed what football once was.
Exactly
@gumbo7215 you forgot to mention the mighty hammers tut tut
Dundee United didn't. English football top flight has always been better than Scotland. I'm Scottish but no shame in the truth
I usually can't stand Chris Sutton (being a Rangers supporter)BUT I must agree with him 100% here.
So as a thistle fan In glasgow I should pick a team that play better football? No it's called loyalty
Rangers and Celtic should never be allowed into the Premier league.

LOL
Oh hello Mr Pot, my name's Mr Kettle. FFS!!!
@markcampbell1466...City were lucky last season? 😳... Just to get to the final they had to beat Sevilla, Copenhagen, Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid!! I feel your having a go at City because many of our fans also support Rangers! 🙄

Sorry, but your pundits like Sutton are a great example of how the league is just a bad joke.
It might even improve without them strange as it may sound

They've also went 20 years without winning a Euro KO tie despite being in Europe every year.
Out of the 2 it is Rangers that are flying the flag in Europe, once again.

Chris for give him were CELTIC to the core
Here we are with another English expert wanting a strong Scottish league. Why don't they ask their English broadcasting companies for a fair share of the British TV money to go to Scottish football?
😂🤣😂
Reasons
Chris Sutton 👏

The truth is that English football has been ruined by money and greed it's as simple as that
"The best supported league" is one way to interpret the data.
Not a fan of Sutton but he’s spot on here !
Scottish teams will always crash in Europe, they are simply not close to the same level as the majority of the rest.
