How did you reach that conclusion? If a person wants to be a doctor, lawyer, psychologist, nurse, statistician, engineer, Economist, physical therapist etc etc etc college is not a waste of money.

Depends on the field of study, but in most of the "disciplines" it can indeed be wasteful. I have a BA and three MA's that I have seldom used, mostly because I did not 'cow-tow' to the "politics" of the colleges I worked as a teaching assistant. Never joined the teacher's unions either so High School was out too. Perhaps some private schools would hire me, but I was not geographically near any at the time, and I did own business and properties that needed attention.
They teach critical thinking when they should be teaching skills. But in this case, they failed to even teach critical thinking.
'Education' and 'Intelligence' are two DIFFERENT things. My dad called them "educated idiots"!!!!

Good, but you still need to VERIFY before you trust! There is still a LOT of bad teaching, DIE (DEI….but more truthful as d i e) even in ‘Christian’ schools. Remember Jesus told us ‘Do Not Be Deceived’…even the ‘elite’ can be fooled.

I went to the University of Kansas and I’m not a pablum puking liberal. It’s his PARENTS that are to blame and frankly the student has access to the truth.
Imagine a nineteen year old student thinking he has learned more in two or three years of University than a thirty + year old man living in the real world.
They all tell each other they are so smart for being in college, their teachers reinforce that delusion. Also, they love their teachers for tellling them their parents are wrong to "control them" and that they should do whatever they feel like.

I know countless people who have "departed from it". Religion was so crammed down their throats as children that they revolted as soon as they got out of their parents homes. 2 of the people I personally know are now dead due to drug overdoses. 3 of them are single moms because of the purity culture that they were shamed with & not even allowed to have a high school boyfriend so when they grew up they became 304s. 1 of them even got hooked on drugs & turned to prostitution. 1 dead to suicide becasue they never felt worthy or even good enough because their whole lives they were indoctrinated to think of themselves as dirty rags & a worthless sinner. There is 1 person that I know who grew up & seeked counseling to deconstruct all of the religious trauma and was able to live a normal productive life after years & years of therapy.
The kid is what we used to call a punk. He is the beneficiary of parents who probably worked hard to send him to college and are now sorry they did. He clearly isn't learning anything.

I never went to college because by that point in my life I was sick of school. I’ve been working ever since and that’s probably been better for me in hindsight. But to each their own.
