Hey guys, So many people complain about Purify being too op, and demand a nerf to 4 mana now! Should I listen to the community and make another video regarding the card?
If you manage to pull it off, It's actually better, because you are thinning your deck. But that's big IF, with similar result with something that it's 4 mana 7/7, no requirements...
actually its called The Purifier because someone made a custom card of the same name with the text "If your opponent has 5 or more silence minion you win the game/match"

Purify isn't great we all know that. BUT! It goes a long way in consistency. I've played silence priest since Hearthstone's release and the biggest problem with the deck is not having enough activators. If you don't draw taunt givers or silence then your watchers, eeries, etc. are useless. So being able to activate them and cycle is pretty good. Now what silence priest needs is more minions you want to silence and cards that synergizes with silenced minions. Cards that require a silenced friendly minion for a powerful battlecry for example.
Giving cards extra perks just because they're themed would almost definitely be super unhealthy for the game. Giving immunities to certain things without condition is also ridiculously anti-fun for a game like Hearthstone. It's like adding the card text.. "Anti-fun for the Mage class and freeze decks", similar to a card like Blood Knight and how anti-fun it is for Paladin. Luckily Blood Knight isn't good in any other case, but Icehowl is.
+cdwwg Mage needs a nurf and making ice elemented cards immune to freeze would not break the game, in fact I would argue the game would require more skill and decision making, enhancing the experience

Eerie statue on turn 4 into purify on turn 5 is actually exactly the same as the 4 mana 7/7 in shaman. You just need to have 2 cards to execute it, but the net cost and result are the same. You can also be more flexible with the 2 mana *overload* by doing it on the same turn if you choose. Does this make it a good card? Probably not, but it's not absolute shit.
It also costs 1 less card, which is why I said the net result is the same. It costs 1 more card but gives you it back, so the only effective difference is that you need to have both in your hand to make it work, but the cost/result are overall the same.
You are not considering the deck thinning effect, a cycle is always good because it makes your deck more concentrated. A cycle after requiring an extra card is in no way the same net result except requiring an extra card, it requires an extra card but thins your deck by a card. You are now playing a 29 card deck. Deck thinning effect is extremely powerful early game, because it makes every draw more likely to be one with what you need or know later on, and the difference will only increase as you draw out the deck. (1/25 vs 1/24, 1/9 vs 1/10, all the way down to 1/1 vs 1/2). Cycling is one of the more powerful effects in almost every TCG. But yes, the single instance of requiring 2 card to combo is much less consistent than a 1 card effect, therefore it's not very meaningful to do direct comparison, overall shaman's card is stronger because of play consistency, otherwise the effect of cycling is stronger in increasing the consistency of entire deck.

I had tried a priest deck with 2 eerie statues and 2 silences and 2 argus and it was honestly decent because in a control vs control matchup where your opponent doesnt play minions the eerie statue really shines because it forces your opponent to either remove it or force them to play minions in order to negate it
aside from beast druid which is now a thing, the decks I want to see become a thing are: self-silence priest, taunt warrior, full on totem shaman (or maybe murloc shaman) and discard warlock as for pally, mage, hunter and rogue, they have had so many different types of deck that I just dont know what I want to see anymore

I made a silence +inner fire deck with doomsayers, killed a hunter with like a 28/28 doomsayer.... gave me a chubby lol
The fact that this deck went 50/50-ish is actually pretty cool. So much fun to watch as well.
