Philanthropist Jordan Schnitzer Discusses Homelessness and Public Funding of Bybee Lakes Hope Center

Portland philanthropist and entrepreneur Jordan Schnitzer talks with Hot House host and author Patrick Howard about the Bybee Lakes Hope Center and other solutions to homelessness in Portland, Oregon. Mr. Schnitzer has been the prime mover in the development of this beautiful, state-of-the-art shelter in North Portland. Bybee Lakes Hope Center's mission is to help solve the dual tragedies of drug addiction and homelessness. It requires long-term residents to seek treatment for their addiction. It has become a model for other communities facing these challenges. Until now, it has been completely funded by private donations, but is now seeking public funding to continue its important work.
