Awesome trip my friend. The hike up to Lions Head was so much fun!! I was blown away by how beautiful it was out there. I had an absolute blast with you guys. Can’t wait for another adventure. Great video Tim 👍
Great to see you outside again Tim. It’s funny, we don’t know one another but I was genuinely concerned about you when you’re absence from UA-cam grew beyond a month. I even asked that Newbold character if you were ok! Thanks for sharing brother!
So glad to see you back!!! We've missed ya!! But, so happy you were able to get some great family time in!! That is time you can't replace!! Thanks so much for sharing!!
Great to see a vid from you, Tim! Sounds like you had a busy summer. Thanks for bringing us along to the Dolly Sods. Another area close to there is the Cranberry Wilderness which is a little more remote but still gorgeous.
Great to see you back! Really missed your videos. At about 13 and 18 min I'm pretty sure I saw cotton grass (white tufts about 18" tall). Usually a good sign to look around them for wild cranberries.
AWESOME!! well if you couldn't get out much this season, at least you got to THE Spot.. what a sunset at 10:00 !! Great to see a video from you/ sounds like you have been having a good time outdoors if not youtube type stuff, as long as you're having fun that's great// glad you could bring us along on this trip
Hey Tim, this is John Coffey from the Unpaved Explorer channel. It is great to see you producing videos again. It has been a while since your last video. I really enjoy videos for they are well thought out and provide a lot of information. I am really interested to know more about Dolly Sods. Can you produce an in-depth post trail review. I think that would be a great follow up video. I cannot wait to watch your next video. Take care buddy and keep enjoying the outdoors.
Good to see you back on trail! It looks like you all had an awesome backpacking trip. I guess the dry spell is coast to coast. I just did a backpacking trip and experienced a water hole go dry in 4 days. Dolly Sods is usually a went place. Awesome video!
Trying to plan a 3 day to the sods end of August this year, but getting friends/fam to go is like pulling teeth. I wish I had peeps that would be legit excited about trips like this. Looks like a gorgeous area! Thanks for sharing :)
Hey Tim ☺️ Great group adventure! I saw the scrambling up the mountain on Jason's video and the views were absolutely incredible at the top. Always interesting to see the changes of scenery during dry seasons. Looks like a fun adventure my friend ☺️🍅
You should hike Seneca rocks not too far from there. My family and me have a cabin not too far from there we always hike Seneca or head to Canaan Valley or Dolly sods. If you ever get a chance go check out Black waterfalls. There is not much hiking there but it’s awesome to see the waterfall. And they have a gift shop you can stop at.
If you take the white cap off of the end of the Micro the flow rate is much better. It also seats into the Smartwater bottles better for those times you need to filter and film at the same time haha!
What’s interesting about the Appalachian Mountains. Is they are the oldest mountain ranges in the world roughly 480 million years old. And at one time they were the size of the Alps and some parts the Rocky Mountains. But natural erosion has put them down to the size they are now.
tim you should look into the BEFREE KATADYN. i just got mine and it is AMAZING. insain flow rate and lightweight. worth every damn penny. thr 3 litre version that i got is 60. love that piece of gear so far
Hey Tim, welcome back! Glad to hear you took time off and spent it with the family. Would like to hear more about your overseas trip. DBT is heading back to the Sods in a few weeks and your video gives us a lot of hope! Check out our latest montage video of last years soggy few days in the Sods...it was wet, cold, and more wet. We are really hoping for an experience more like yours...:)
Awesome video brother, I really enjoyed seeing your perspective of y’all’s hike! I’m stopping in from Jason’s channel checking out everyone’s channels and smashing them buttons! Man great editing, I really enjoyed this video the footage was amazing! Again nice job brother looking forward to checking out more of your videos!
Tim Watson looks like it! Do you still use it in later season just adding some extra clothing? Trying to figure out if I want to go frame less or just get a 2400 HMG
I only have the 30l so I can’t do much with it later in the season. It’s pretty dialed in for my 20 degree quilt and associated loadout. If I had to bring extra clothes or food for more than 4 days it wouldn’t work as well.
It’s happening...everyone stay calm, stay f**king calm!!
This is a family friendly channel. Banned.
Tim Watson 😂😂🤣😂
Josh Ebersole 😂🤣😂
I finally got around to watching your Dolly Sods video. 👍 We both took a lot of time off from UA-cam this past summer. Welcome back Tim! 😀
There you are! Glad to see your videos coming up again.
So glad to see you back! I'm with you. Jason's food is always better than Mountain House. He's a true backcountry chef. Great video!
All my dreams just came true! 🤣 Glad you’re back, Tim!

Nice trip with the guys. Came over from Jason's channel.

Nice to see your mug on my sidebar! Figured you were dealing with the blistering heat from the summer like I was and avoiding it like the plague.
Nope. Vacation, kids, projects. 😁
Man it was great to be back out. Had a great time on this one.
HECK YEAH WELCOME BACK!!!
Welcome back!
If you take the white cap off of the end of the Micro the flow rate is much better. It also seats into the Smartwater bottles better for those times you need to filter and film at the same time haha!

Good To see you back on the trail!! You going to make Restless's backpacking meetup?
Glad your back!!! Missed you dude!
A very dry year out east? An unusually wet year in Colorado. Who did you hike with?
You should look at a Cnoc Vecto for water.
I was just up there on Saturday it was 42 and Wendy af
Nice.
How’s the frame less backpack working out?
Perfect for three season loadout.
Tim Watson looks like it! Do you still use it in later season just adding some extra clothing? Trying to figure out if I want to go frame less or just get a 2400 HMG

The man's not dead
Glad you're back. You coulda left some kind of note. I thought you mighta died or something. Don't do that again. Or if you do die, tell us.
Those sunglasses are GQ
Tim, are you Canadian? We grew up metric here too.
Why didn’t you bring water with you???? You just stepped out of the car lmao
You still alive?
I am!!
@@TimWatsonOutdoors Well good. I was thinking that I sure hope you didn't fall down a crevace or get caught in an avalance or eaten by a bear.
Welcome back!
