- The twins had their braids in for over a month, we were scared to find out what might be IN THERE. With the girls rolling around, being active, this natural hair braid removal was certainly a challenge.

All braids collect dirt and debris when they stay in longer than a month. Completely normal, mama, don't trip! Lol

My girls always have that in their braids and cornrows, I thought it was because of beddings being cotton, but even after changing them, they still had that. Is there any solution to prevent it?
@@carmenckb no I don't think so, just wash their hair after
@@carmenckb try to avoid putting a lot of product in their hair. Use light oils if needed. Wash braids at the 2 week mark. But even then, you cant completely prevent it from happening.
@@carmenckb I don't even wash my hair when i have braids. i just spray it with a leave in conditioner and water.
Don't put a lot of product at the root and there shouldn't be hella product. like maybe put something on your scalp every few days

Ami let the kids be kids.They don't need to be ladylike yet because they are kids.As long as they are not loud or rude or disobedient.Teach them manners but let them be kids because they will never get this time again.

Dear Mama McClure: I love how you relate to your children and how you challenge their minds. I love how you know which issues to make and which to ignore. I love your humor. I love how you teach them to be kind and thoughtful. This grandma has one suggestion: also begin to teach them table manners-- to use a napkin, wait to begin eating until all are served, get their elbows off the table, etc. These manners will make a lot of difference in how people evaluate your children as they grow older. My daughter got her first good professional job based on how she behaved herself at a company luncheon. All candidates were equal, but the others had poor table manners and the personnel officer thought they wouldn't represent the company well, so chose my daughter who knew which for to use and to wait to eat until all are served or the hostess begins to eat

Ami, a tip for you 🥰 next time you’re taking the girls’ braids down try using apple cider vinegar (ACV) to tackle the ‘dreadlock’ which is build-up (‘gunk’) on each braid. Use a diluted mixture 1 part apple cider vines to 3 parts water in a spray bottle. Lightly spritz each braid with ACV and gently massage into the build-up for an easy detangle, using your thumb to hook and separate the strands at the back of each braid/twist (known as the 'hook method'). This method releases the build-up and clarifies the hair and scalp without stripping the hair of its natural oils. It’s a winner, for sure!
Jersey is just tooooo cute and sooo smart! The girls are smart too, competitive, and entertaining. I love that they shared lovely, humerous memories while doing their travel project.

My twins was so competitive also...I finally put them in different rooms to do homework so they wouldn't fight or copy each other!!! Having twins is fun but it is hard work!!!!
What strikes me most about about this family is how much attention and interaction with their parents these lovely kids get. With all of this nurturing these little ones should have a great foundation for proper development.

Try to cut at the very tip or ends of each braid use a rat tail comb to help u twist the beaid

Mz. Cynthia here! I was surprised that Alexis was a little snarky today ... Ava is usually more aggressive in their talk ... very interesting. I like adventures outside the classroom, too. My mother use to take us to the state attractions in North Carolina and Virginia. And Justin, I was the camera bug in my family; I got it from my dad. I like that every time you called Jersey, he would look up at you, even if he was not interested in what you were saying! Poor Ami! Sweetie, you look like you need another vacation. Make it happen! I feel like the “twin competition” is healthy and normal. You dressed them identically, do their hair identically, they’re called “the twins,” etc. a lot of twins suffer from identity issues and being compared and grouped with their twin.
