Thanks for posting these guys on you tube. Had the pleasure of seeing Doodle and his band at Gloryland Park in the early 80's up here in Delaware. What a great bunch a musicians these guys were and knew how to have fun at what they did. I even had the pleasure to shake Doodles hand and the others. Wont ever forget them and they impressed the heck outta me. Looked for their music on records cassettes and cds but could never find it. Again Thanks for putting them on..David Siple Wilmington De.

The group actually recorded about 10 projects - albums, 8-tracks, cassettes and CDs which are all out of print except a fiddle CD they backed me on called Golden River Fiddlin' that is available on the randall franks website on the store page. There is more video available of the group on Randall Franks TV deeper among the videos for your interest.

David, Thanks so much for sharing such fond memories of Doodle and Golden River Grass. You beat me by one year, it was probably the late fiddler Bill Kee you met in Delaware who I replaced with the group after his passing. It was a great group to play with and I enjoyed about a decade associated with them. Unfortunately, this material was never released on DVD. Alan Lomax did a video called Appalachian Journey that included the group and their music appears on some Smithsonian recordings.
