I use this saw on construction sites a few times a week and it knocks everything out of the park cutting whatever I need like butter. I've used it with Milwaukee, DeWalt, and diablo blades and I just love it.
Definitely a good saw when you consider the price point and more than adequate when most if not all DIYers... Really happy to see they orbital action feature, can't even get it for dewalt recip saw, not even the flexvolt.
I have found that when using a reciprocating saw if you keep the "foot" pressed against the piece you are cutting it will eliminate the vibration or greatly reduce it.
I would have liked to see you stop the material from vibrating/shaking to see if the saw would cut without stopping. IMO the saw blade jumps with the material and jams into it and that's why it stops.
I just bought the Milwaukee fuel hacksaw, but it does the same thing, on sale if you buy the starter kit with bag 2-4 ah batteries and charger for $200 you get the 200 dollar tool free and dewalt has same.
That's why that skil is a homeowner diy type now the higher end skillsaw 15 amp reciprocating saw with the metal center frame it's definitely got balls to cut they should do is come out with a cordless 7 1/4 circular saw like they had when Bosch owned if they can do it kobalt Chevron why not skil thanks for the video
What was stopping it i the motor getting too hot or not enough power on the motor ? Iiiii ? I’ll be honest I spent 25 years in the trades as a Carpenter/Woodworker and I don’t think there are too many battery saws that are worth much running a power cord has never been that big of a deal and on thait note I’ve torn some stuff up with Milwaukee Super Salzburg All’s and a Dewalt reciprocating saw I bought on sale both of which are 30 years old and still work fine I do agree with you on the price and quality of the Skil you reviewed for being a good DIY tool or a occasional use many years ago I bought a big set of Blackand Decker battery tools and I kept them onmy boat for projects they were 12 volt and worked great for weekend jobs even one time out fishing I landed a 5 foot Wahoo and we cut that into steaks with the jigsaw right out of the Ocean 110 miles offshore btw Wahoo have a pretty big spine going down the middle of them the Wahoo and 1200 lbs of YellowFin Tuna made it a good trip
Hi TRZ, Glad Skil got bought out so they can really improve on their cordless tools line. Now they're playing with the big boys, LOL... Great for a lot of DIY people but it also looks like a good set of tools for people who are just getting in the trades and have a budget. Who know we might see some of these tools on job sites. Good job Skil !!!!
Come on that isn't a fair test that wood dancing all over the place you nut. I have the smaller one and I use it to cut trees that should be cut with a chainsaw and it works great and that have more power isn't that the same as the flex
I agree this saw is more of a home owner saw over a contractor or heavy use demo saw I dont think this would be good for heavy use in metal or wood so won't work well for cutting frames are cars apart for scrap salvage clint @ToolReviewZone

It's the makita gnome You know we has more power on Halloween
Damn it KONAMAN! I didn't even think about the Makita Gnome!. ... now it all makes sense!!!
Hi!
Full Moon too! Thats super spooky powers for the gnome
Yo! TRZ! I don't think she'll figure out the safety switch..... dammit! 🤣🤣🤣 GREAT stuff, man. Thanks and God bless!😁👍
Man with that getting stuck I thought you switched it out for the Hyper Tough. Glad Skil is coming to the channel tho!

Lol even the homeowner saws have orbital unlike some brands wont mention any names *dewalt*
In conclusion....
Is it cut quicker than a hand saw ✅
Did it cut through the material ✅
Works for me then.
That's the spirit of Vince's from VCG' goatee commin at ya bro. Real scary like
Hahaha
Im honestly surprised they didnt try to put a pointless wormdrive somewhere on it
Nice review and points of view Clint @ToolReviewZone
One good thing it does have orbital action,The two junkie DeWalts I have do not ..I just ordered a new metabo18- 36 v, can't wait to try it out
Yeah, drives me crazy that dewalt doesn't add orbital to their saws. I mentioned this many times in their recip saw vids
I just bought the Milwaukee fuel hacksaw, but it does the same thing, on sale if you buy the starter kit with bag 2-4 ah batteries and charger for $200 you get the 200 dollar tool free and dewalt has same.
Very cool to see skil Clint @ToolReviewZone

You'll be surprised how much smoother and stronger this will run with the 5ah battery
I have the 5ah batteries from their 20v skil saw! So they would fit?
@@papiii_toni1300 yes 100% they will

It is good as a pruner this skil reciprocating saw
I liked I'm smashing my like botton yahoooooooooo kaboooooooooooooom
Why no comparison to the dewalt or milwakuee??
Very surprising! It's a little sad really, I expected better out of skil. Wonder how it would compare to say a Hart reciprocating saw? 🤔
Thouit would have been a bit more pow, but not bad for the price point
Even my hyper tough has tooless blade change major draw back there
I'm buying skil instead of ridgid
Any update
@@smarksruinedwrestling5020went ryobi, they all died now I'm buying dewalt

Good job Skil !!!!
my craftsman brushless rp recip saw is $99 and has a spm of 3200
I seen someone do a test on the craftsman vs the skill and the craftsman was faster even with the orbital action
No comment from VCG on their skil tool yet? Lol
Haven't heard anything yet 🤣

Yo TRZ!!
Do you prefer those dewalt blades?
Maybe you were getting b-slapped because you had sleeves on!
Hahahaha, very possible bro lol
I don't have any issues with them, but Diablo way better
That was no witch. That was my ex wife. That's how she sounds when she achieves o. I should know, I heard it once.
Yes it was your ex wife 😅
