As a comic reader, the “I thought you were stronger” moment might hit harder here because Steven Yuen’s performance makes it feel like Mark was also talking to himself. As if he was stronger than resulting to killing.
I think I might just read the comments I enjoyed the first season of invincible but the second season was way way to slow, especially with all the breaks they took as well. Also the conclusion with Levy felt extremely rushed, don’t really understand the point of his character at all tbh
@@xFalconn1 its not rushed, this is kinda how it goes in the books. It happens that way for a reason. But if you feel like that, I’d kinda recommend holding off on the comics and waiting to see the aftermath of the angstrom situation. It has lasting ramifications on the story. Angstrom is basically a stalker. Mark means everything to him but mark has no idea who he is until it’s too late, and close to home.
I love the spiderverse reference here and the way they incorporate the crossover without crossing the infringement line. I also feel like Angstrom and Spot from spiderverse have a bit in common. No, Mark has never killed before. Also Angstrom wasn't trying to bring the killer out in Mark. He wanted to make him suffer then kill him. Angstrom is not the Joker and Mark is not Batman.
Yep. Angstrom very much FAFO'd. He kept poking the bear with a stick over and over and over thinking he wouldn't get mauled. Eventually he pushed too hard.
@dylandakes4246 accidentally killing someone is not the same as murder. At most it was negligent homicide or manslaughter Intentionally taking a life is very different.

Her kindness and concern for her kid is amazing, and shows why Mark turned out so well. Also, I didn't even the know the episode was up till The Reel Rejects uploaded, so shout out to them
The issue with Vegeta is that his redemption wasn't exactly what I would say thoroughly planned out (came to the detriment of Yamcha so much so that Toriyama retcon him into being a player when involved with Bulma which makes no sense at all if you watched the original as I'll get into later) which makes sense given Toriyama had intended to kill Vegeta off on Namek, but because of how popular he was among some readers his editor swayed him. Like it took until Super for what he did to that Namekian village to finally be addressed and even then Super in itself is a whole other thing given Z was intended to be the end of the series and Super has issues that go against the original run in terms of continuity: Goku's flanderization in not knowing what a kiss is with his own wife or him forgetting meditation along with the retcon of Bardock (when it's clear the author liked the special so much that it brought him to tears that he did canonize it enough to put Bardock with his bandana on in the manga on a page for when Frieza looks at Goku from the resemblance). Like I respect Toriyama and may he rest in peace, but Super really delves into a case of what is known as author fallacy and as such should be treated as much as GT in terms of being more of a continuation spinoff. As for Z for when Future Trunks says what his mother speaks on the subject of Bulma and Yamcha breaking up it sounds more like Bulma giving an unreliable version of her side of the story when as Oolong in the og show said when the two were having their first spat that she's insecure (because of how popular Yamcha is that he has his own fanclub she takes it as a slight that he's cheating on her when the guy has no control over what other girls do) and given how proud Bulma is much like Vegeta in being stubborn she probably didn't want to tell her son that she was emotionally immature being the reason for her breaking up with Yamcha. Toriyama was even confronted by Yamcha's japanese va about it and him saying that Yamcha was a player if anything sounds more believable that he became one AFTER the two had broken up which would make sense for a guy that had a phobia of women and when it turns out the woman who he loved decided to break things off with him that he would want to compensate the broken heart with a bunch of girls.
@@hoya1178Exactly, and that is their right. Some people can maybe forgive if they want to, but those that he harmed shouldn't have to feel obligated to just because he's now doing good. Just because you now do good doesn't mean you should be rewarded for it, but because it's simply the right thing to do. I see this also illustrated in Digimon Tamers where one of the partner mons got killed off for good (no egg reincarnation in this show) and later on when the once villain tries to save the very person who they did wrong the victim of that past transgression is understandably very distraught and scared in thinking that he's there to finish the job which suffice to say some viewers were like how dare she not accept his help in missing why her concerns and not wanting anything to do with him his valid. At the end of the show though, she does end up forgiving him because she herself wants to as she saw how he's changed and tried to do what he can to make things right for however little he can. And then yeah another example is Justice League with Hawkgirl with the fallout after her betrayal with some citizens forgiving her and some not so much.
This is the type of stuff I expected when a movie is titled “Multiverse of Madness” yet instead we got to go to one other dimension to see the Illuminati die in five seconds while other media with a tiny portion of the budget that Marvel has are giving us this amazing multiverse stories like this show, Everything, Everywhere All at Once, etc.
The scene with Mark and Eve reminds me of the Justice League Unlimited story arc where Green Lantern met Rex Stewart (WarHawk) in the future, and wrestles with the knowledge and whether he should tell present-day Hawkgirl about how what he knows and how he feels about her.
This is my fav depiction of superheroes animated or live-action. Monster girl permanently in that form actually makes so much sense to me. She would have accepted her fate, but to make a more compelling narrative. Kirkman should make it a choice. She either forgoes the solution in an effort to save her friends or she gives up the powers completely to save herself

"I see the suffering of lesser beings and it... upsets me." What a compete 180 turnaround Nolan had. It's honestly incredible. He saw humans and other species as weak and inferior for his entire lifetime. And all it took was his son and his Thraxan wife to bring him down a new path.
I have said this on another video but I absolutely love with this season has to say about guilt. How guilt halts the healing of wounds that trauma cause. Mark is guilty about being like his father, Nolan is guilty about hurting his family and everyone, Debbie is guilty for not protecting Mark from Nolan. Amber is guilty about being a liability and holding mark back etc etc. All the characters are carry that guilt, like a wound that doing close. The reflection of this guilt is actually Donald. Donald saying we aren’t our trauma but the actions and intentions that define us. He was haunted only to find out he put his life on the line again and again to help people, and the burden of knowing the truth didn’t hurt him as much. He was able to save William’s BF (forgot his name) from the ledge. Also having Spider-Man and Batman cameos drivers the point who that it’s not who we are but the actions we do that define us. This season has been something truly special, guilt, consequences and the responsibility that comes with our actions, that’s what makes these characters and all of us heroic.
Wow!! Really enjoyed this episode and the season overall!! I really hope we don’t have to wait too long for season 3 and no more breaking seasons into 2 parts. I feel it hurts the momentum
I like hearing the hype people got for the Spider-Man spoof, but it's funny because in the comic it was straight up the actual Spider-Man and Doc Ock. Also, Josh Keaton was in Spiderverse 2, so the "been doing a lot of dimensions travel recently" is two meta jokes in one.
i would say Debbie is tying college to his humanity and his innocence and wanting him to hold on to that. also even though he’s a supe she’s a human still and normal human connections unite them

Omni Man does deserve redemption. If we can all forgive someone like Vegeta, then we definitely can with Nolan.
He deserves redemption but I don't think he deserves to be forgiven. They're 2 different things.
This is true.
Even so, his actions aren't going to be without cost or punishment. Nolan has hurt too many people for that.
Like it took until Super for what he did to that Namekian village to finally be addressed and even then Super in itself is a whole other thing given Z was intended to be the end of the series and Super has issues that go against the original run in terms of continuity:
Goku's flanderization in not knowing what a kiss is with his own wife or him forgetting meditation along with the retcon of Bardock (when it's clear the author liked the special so much that it brought him to tears that he did canonize it enough to put Bardock with his bandana on in the manga on a page for when Frieza looks at Goku from the resemblance).
He will not be forgiven by the people of earth and he shouldn't.
The whole family {except Oliver} having the same eye blackened is so symmetrical.

Definetly more of a set up finale, especially for the crazy stuff thats gonna happen in season 3
Angstrom Levi is so lucky that Nolan wasn't there to witness what he did. 😬
