Fun fact, head shots kill most people because the bullet often does't go all the way through the skull so the bullet bounces around in the skull destroying the brain, so Rex was lucky the shot was point blank because it had enough force to go clean through his skull and not hit any thing too important

This was a calmer episode that dealt with the trauma and repercussions of their recent fights and issues. I love how so many characters get depth here and every character feels authentic. Can’t wait for the rest of the season.

spoilers Shrinking Rae turning out to be alive was a surprise. It was a permanent death to Komodo Dragon in the comic, so whatever they do with her from here on out will be new territory.
My prediction for Rae. Comic Spoilers . . . . . . . . . . . . . I believe that her death has just been delayed and that she will die during Angstrom's big play.

This episode was amazing! Incredible character development and the dialogue is used so well. I'm so glad Rae is alive and I Can’t wait to see how the Viltrumites respond to Nolan’s "dishonor".
I read the comics but Rex was always insufferable to me. This moment always made me respect him. homeboy got slashed to hell, hand eaten, shot in the head, and still stood on business and completed the mission alone. Respect
There was a homeless man named Jerry who survived a shotgun blast to the head at point blank range back in '98. Not only did he survive, but he went on to live another 20 years before sadly passing away in 2020. Even while being homeless and severely disfigured, he still continued to be positive and show that it's possible to stand up after losing so much! RIP

Remember how Nolan changed when he learned of marks powers in s1. He wasn’t really happy, he kinda snapped back into viltrumite from Omni man. So I’d say that Omni man very much was a good guy during his time on earth
Rick definitely a robot, that sequid coming out was predictable. Those Transitions and the side by side shot of Mark and Amber’s Conversations were insane
Makes sense why Immortal and Dupli-Kate suddenly had this relationship. They both sympathized with each other over what it was like to die more times than they could count. Immortal went through that for many millennia. And Kate, who could feel the pain of her duplicates, felt her clones' pain every time they died (sometimes very gruesomely). Plus, it makes me wonder: could Dupli-Kate be older than she looks?
Rex’ secret power is that he didn’t use his brain in the first place. But fr, apparently 50% of people shot in the head that make it to the ER in time survive so that was a neat thing to look up after the episode.
This show is something else man. People say they have superhero fatigue meanwhile this and the boys prove that it’s not fatigue of superheros, it’s fatigue of *BAD* and mediocre ones. I think it’s safe to say superhero movies are……. *title card*
To answer Aaron's question, my dad was a firefighter-paramedic growing up, my brother is a paramedic, and I myself just got my EMT certification and will be starting work soon. It is well known that among first responders, having a relationship that lasts is as rare as a 4 leaf clover. Their schedules are in constant flux and are almost impossible to plan around, and when they can be with you they're probably exhausted and can't really be with you mentally. Couple that with frequent waves of burnout and yeah, most relationships don't last. I personally find the way this show is handling that concept through a superhero lens to be fascinating.
I think another thing is the way emergency service workers see the world and death is SO different that it isolates us from people a lot more. Stepping away from the front line for a more stable role was one of the main things that saved my relationship
I’m glad Greg said it cause it happens more often than you think, I know a guy who was shot in the head and survived, even lost a part of his brain, there are less vital parts of our brain than others… Swelling is a real issue given the fact there’s no where for the brain to go within the skull, but it does happen, people have survived shots to the head. Also, having invincible ignore Eve is like making a movie about superman and having him completely ignore Louise Lane, it’s weird, to me at least…
I bought and read the comics after Season 1. They are great, but I wish I hadn't because the show is better. My advice would be to buy them after the series ends.
I agree with the other commenter, the show is much better, especially with how it treats side characters like Debbie, Cecil, Nolan, Eve and hell even William, who’s only a minor character. Stick with the show honestly
I am really happy with how Kirkman is adapting the story and providing changes that a comic nerd like me enjoy. Even knowing how the story ends, I cannot wait to see how we get there.
That conversation scene was great. It felt so mature and nuanced in a way I’ve never seen the same topic covered anywhere else. Spider-Man and MJ always have a similar strain on their relationship, but I think it’s so neat to evolve the relationship from where it was in Season 1. Amber was upset about being lied to in the first season, but even with Mark being 100% truthful, other problems arise, and both her and Mark have equally valid points. I think the thing that makes Invincible such a unique superhero story is that every single emotional moment and all the drama is treated with the utmost seriousness, but the show never gets bogged down because it can get loose and comic-booky with the world-ending shenanigans.
Kinda ticked off they bought shrinking Rae back. Kate’s death feels bland because of it and makes me wonder if she’s gonna crawl out of the grave. If they both died, it would have given a sense of weight on their deaths, and Rex would go through an arc of bearing the burden
This is probably better tho rex will have his trauma and Kate's death is perfect for immortal and his character depth kate and Rex could become something more especially with what's coming in season 3

She’s literally now what she should’ve been in Season 1 and is almost overly supportive, she doesn’t have a single negative thing to say. Look they did everything right with fixing her character, the problem is that it’s like they flipped a switch and she’s a completely different character and it just doesn’t work. It’s literally night and day you can’t tell me they’re the same person! 💀💀

If you remember from the first episode of the season, in the alternate universe, Robot has a gun thay blasts Omni-Man back, and its a similar beam to what we saw in the Space Racer book, so they had read his books, and built one of their own to try and stop Mark and Omni-Man, but it wasnt perfected, but was still strong enough to cause damage to him. If an imperfect makeshift "Invincible Gun" could cause at least some damage to Omni-Man, imagine what the real thing could do.
If I were Rae I'd quit the Guardians, I'd have too much psychological trauma after that to be of any use. I'd perhaps become a thief if I'm able to squeeze into places like air ducts and door locks.

I don’t know of this is what Kirkman intended with Rex, but there have been real world cases of people being shot in the head by a handgun and the bullet got through the skin but did NOT penetrate the skull but deflected off it, and traveled around the person’s head under the skin, and then exited somewhere on the other side of their head. As far as I’m aware, this has only ever happened with handguns because they’re significantly less powerful than rifle rounds
as someone who read the comics all the way through, I can honestly say that the show surpasses my expectations. The biggest differences I've seen are the pacing choices. They reorder certain events to take place a little sooner or later than in the comics, and it's all for the better. I love this show!

If you remember from the first episode of the season, in the alternate universe, Robot has a gun thay blasts Omni-Man back, and its a similar beam to what we saw in the Space Racer book, so they had read his books, and built one of their own to try and stop Mark and Omni-Man, but it wasnt perfected, but was still strong enough to cause damage to him. If an imperfect makeshift "Invincible Gun" could cause at least some damage to Omni-Man, imagine what the real thing could do.

If I were Rae I'd quit the Guardians, I'd have too much psychological trauma after that to be of any use. I'd perhaps become a thief if I'm able to squeeze into places like air ducts and door locks.

I don’t know of this is what Kirkman intended with Rex, but there have been real world cases of people being shot in the head by a handgun and the bullet got through the skin but did NOT penetrate the skull but deflected off it, and traveled around the person’s head under the skin, and then exited somewhere on the other side of their head. As far as I’m aware, this has only ever happened with handguns because they’re significantly less powerful than rifle rounds

as someone who read the comics all the way through, I can honestly say that the show surpasses my expectations. The biggest differences I've seen are the pacing choices. They reorder certain events to take place a little sooner or later than in the comics, and it's all for the better. I love this show!

@@glyndwrjohn6383 i agree with that but finding a way for her not to vanish isn't removing choice (she can choose when to use it) and she showed the struggles of being stuck as a child in this season and the last one.

Its normal to want whats best for some1 you love but it should be a choice and not by force tho i do think she is also in the wrong for not talking about it and just flat out denying but again im sure she meet alot of people who said they will help her but failed
