I have the same phone, i have Nothing to complain about it.
Totally fair. If it weren't for a few dodgy camera moments, I'd have very little to complain about. Which is a testament to the strength of the device actually. But they did, so it was worth noting.
I also have Nothing to complain about
Using phone 2a for a month...best in this price point...smart & nice
Yeah, I mean, $350, you expect that it won't be bullet proof, but its damn good for that low cost.
The sharp explain 💥
Thank you, I think?
@@Techsploder Yes
Cool review Jason, thank you 👍 How long have you had the phone? seems pretty beat up, lol
Man, the screen protector was that scratched after day 3 or 4! I've had it for two months. And then, of course, the drop that dinged the casing. It's all par for the course in my smartphone life. I'm apparently tough on phones!
Great in-depth review! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Interesting Phone... I Have Never heard of this brand of Phone,... Also thanks for mentioning about the Availability and more importantly.... Carrier service, I was given a fairly fancy phone for it day, and it wasn't long before.... i discovered only one Carrier would support it. Now that i am more familiar with what smartphones are all about, and somethings i don't Appreciate in them,... I will be very interested in the Characteristics of the phones you review. I did notice something at least for me when you were demonstrating the responsiveness of the phone, the phone seem to have quite a bit of software in it... I'm not necessarily bothered by the amount of software on a phone, but it is how much that comes on the phone and might be hard to remove versus apps you may have installed for your testing purposes. Also, something that isn't talked about too much in all the reviews I've seen since I got interested in smartphones, and that is how you navigate through them, how you get to the pictures, what can you do when you get there. What happens when you download a file. How easy is it to get there does it seem to be intuitive, how easy is it to get data off the phone, now the reasons for my comment in this area might have something to do with how things work in the android operating system of the era of my phone... But I have tinkered with other phones and asked people certain questions and you know what... they are not exactly sure on how to get to things and they have limited understanding of how to operate it, just to let you know I have what is called a construction phone and it's called "The Cat" Fairly durable phone, but has quirks from my viewpoint about general usage. So getting into some common tasks that people may want to do. Might be something to at least comment about, but that again would be your judgment call. If you find something interesting about that to convey. It's also possible to just say the phone works in the typical manner, and to all phones. Anyways Jason, I'm just given the area of something to look into when reviewing the phone. And thanks for reporting on some of the quirks about the processing power of the phone. And what a person might run into in actual usage.
Thanks for your thorough response. I think part of what you are asking about really is more about how Android operates more than anything else. Getting into certain apps like the camera is often pretty standardized on the platform. Certain things within apps can be differentiated. I suppose after all this time on the platform, I might take that stuff for granted! Anyway thank you for sharing your perspective! Happy to have you here!
I love this phone
Right on!
Looking on their site, it looks like the 2a lacks nearly all 5G bands for US carriers, unless that is just for the developer version. Do they intend to release a retail version with full 5G support? They also say it does not support VoLTE or VoWifi on AT&T, that basically means the phone does not work as a phone on AT&T.
I don't believe that they have mentioned any intentions to release this phone in the US with full band support outside of the developer program. Mint Mobile (T-Mobile MVNO) has given me 5G support on the device, but yeah, heed the warning in the review. US bands are limited.
Hey Jason, what phone are you using nowadays?
My daily is a Pixel 8 Pro. But I have a backlog of review devices! haha
Sir can i know which charger yu use for nothing phone 2 a please
I've been using the charger that shipped with the Pixels a few years back when Google used to ship them in the box. I mostly charge overnight so I didn't seek out the most ideal charger for this device. If I could plug in at bed and have full charge in the morning, I'm happy.
Which charger you use to charge this phone? Thats my only concern about it, before buying it....
I use the one that came with my Pixel.... something... I charge overnight so it rarely matters.
Thought Daniel Craig made a mobile review..😂😂
Haha! Daniel Craig, that's a new one!
How is the battery backup for nothing phone 2a?
Battery backup? Not sure I follow. Do you mean speed of charge? Do you mean battery life throughout the day?
@@Techsploder I mean battery drain throughout the day.
I heard it lags in hdr playback. Is that true?
No...
I can't get mine to experience any lag in HDR.
Of I didn't have a pixel then I would be getting one of these
Yeah its a pretty solid device. Just beware the camera, ESPECIALLY if you are used to Pixels!
@@Techsploder yes I'm glad you raised that point in the review
Heyya, getting a nothing soon, is the base worth all that extra money or should I go with the a?
The 2 is twice the cost of the 2a. For that you get wireless charging, a more capable display, slightly improved camera, a better SoC (though still outdated by 2024 standards), more Glyph options, and a phone that works on US 5G networks unencumbered. Do those check off any boxes for you? I'd honestly wait just a few months and see what the next flagship has to offer. Guessing there will be a new flagship this summer. GUESSING.
