The idea that putting on makeup is hard but buying makeup is easy resonates so hard. I’ve been wanting to stop buying makeup, but find myself “discovering holes” in my collection, when in reality if I USED my makeup instead of trying to find the perfect shades, I’d be able to get effects and colors I want by mixing the ones I already have. When I do focus on that, it gets me interested in cutting down on my shopping and my collection overall, because I COULD just use the shadows I have and love. Absurdly, I have about six orders that haven’t gotten to me yet and that’s causing me a lot of stress. My current goal is to not buy any other eyeshadow as long as I am waiting on those orders, and since they’re indie that could be a while. When I’ve got them I can make some better decisions.
So many interesting talking points! I'm curious to see how your no-buy will go this time around and if your shopping behaviours will be different once it ends compared to last years no-buy. I have definitely seen the mindset of buying product as a creative crutch instead of being creative with the products in one's own collection. I can't really relate to that, I have a much more utilitarian relationship with my collection and buying makeup, I see my products as art supplies. I'd love to hear more about your novel (genre, themes, premise) and the books you're reading if you feel comfortable sharing those things.
Your video making is very good. Your content ideas are very good. But Due to some problem your channel is not getting proper views and subscribers. I can give better results if you want.
