My automatic antenna tuner is a SGC SG-230. I have a Kenwood TS-480 SAT that has a "PF" (programmable function button) it is programmed to transmit CW @ 10 watts. Makes tuneups easy.
"AFTER any type of coax switch? The antenna tuner is in the line between the rig/amp and the antenna switch (common line) so you can tune any of the antennas when selected. I think he is speaking from the antenna's point of view.
Did anyone else notice that the connectors for the 998 are on the back. If it is mounted on a wall, the cables will need to take a immediate elbow turn.
Enjoying your reviews. Any chance of doing a comparision review of antenna tuners working with different load impedances to confirm they match the range they claim? For example the MFJ-939 vs. one of the LDG antenna tuners of the same class. Thanks, Ken N1KK
I have a Yeticom Optima 10/11/12 meter radio 24 mhz to 30 mhz and the back of the radio there is no interface connection. Can I use this automatic antenna tuner and if not what do you recommend? I have research all of the automatic antenna tuners and all are made specifically for different types of radios.
Sorry Andy 2e0pas is not about this video but is about atu I have a mfj-993 intelliturner and a YAESU FT 847 can anyone tell me how to set these two up with amfj-5124y2 auto turner interface I ask this as I have just purchased one and it came with out manual have e-mailed the company I got it from but will have to wait for reply thanks all
Poorly thought out demonstration in my opinion. Particularly when pointing out placement of the bias T. Holding the antenna switch such that the orientation of the switch in your hand did not match your explanation. Also pointing out features that were hidden by the camera.

Not sure I'm clear on where to position the Bias Tee. Is it: RIG -> [Coax Switch] -> BIAS TEE or RIG ->BIAS TEE -> [Coax Switch]

Looking at getting one of these, stick it up on a mast near my DXLB trap dipole.
