I've actually had that happen once because I wasn't feeling good and forgot to plug it in when I got home. 🤦‍♀️ Let me tell you, I haven't made that mistake again! I didn't have a backup mobility device with me, so I had a very fun time getting home from work the next day. Lesson learned, LOL! 😂

I've watched your stuff for awhile and I missed that you got a prosthetic. That looks like an awesome piece of hardware!

Can we talk about how you're casually talking with your hands and moving your phone while balancing ON ONE FOOT? I fall over trying to do that shit with TWO feet.

I've worked with robotic prostheses before and I'm kinda surprised there isn't some kind of like "manual mode" to bend the knee without power. Many actuators actually require power to stay stiff and locked in one position, meaning they're very moveable without power. Just an interesting design choice

On my MPK you get the option of free swinging knee or you can lock the knee straight, the battery lasts about 3 days until the crazily annoying vibrate alerts start 🦿I can also turn mine off to save the battery which you can’t do on the Cleg so you just have to remember to take your charger just like you would with your phone

So it fails safely. Good engineers. You have designed well.

Forgive me if I've missed it, but could you talk about why you made the choice to go with a prosthetic after all these years?

I didn't know there was such a thing as a plug-in leg can't you just get a normal prosthetic I'm so confused 🤔

I'd guess that an unpowered prosthetic would support the body as well as this one. Either the knee would bend when it isn't meant to or it'd be stiff and basically non existant. There might be a version that bends and supports without the use of electronic means, but another guess of mine would be that walking with that leg would be alot more different than with this powered one and would feel less natural.

These are called microprocessor legs and I am waiting on one now. The regular legs aren't very good for an active person and usually hold you back from doing many things. I only had mine 3 weeks before they said I was already outperforming it.

Do you have to worry about electrical surges when you are charging it up (like during a thunderstorm)?
