This was a really great video, new gun owner here and I know I need to clean the pistol, but I was not sure exactly how or if I needed to be super worried about scrubbing and breaking something! This video answered every question I had!
Thanks for the vid just what I needed, first time shooter, and I was able to copy it and have my pistol up and ready for more range time. I also own an FN509
Man, I've been looking for this gun for a long time. I can't find it in any local gun shop and online they are basically all sold... This a freaking 5 years old model but I guess is so good that people still buy them. My second option is a Beretta APX Compact but I kinda want the FN more. Is a bith thinner and comes with a lot more stuff
Three years after the comment, so how ever old these things are, they rock. My family is still protected by it everywhere we go! Only barrel and springs have been replaced, and when I did that, there was no different feel or performance.
Great question. Fire the weapon at the range to warm up the components, and then scrub the entire surface with CLP, wipe, and let set out of storage for a couple hours.
Man it doesn’t have to be spotless my 509 will function with 500 rounds and not cleaned works as should ! FN 509 ! Made for military and police although I don’t go that long without cleaning but you could put 500 rounds then clean ! do it again no failures. Use a good frog lube and your good to go!
New gun owner. Awesome video and new new subscriber. Thank you !!
