Anyone else think Daikatana should be remade by the Shadow Warrior devs? If anyone could do a 180 with Daikatana with a remake, and make it actually good, it would be those guys. They do good first person sword and schut combat, and also have experience with oriental/bladerunner-y/futuristic environments.
Funnily enough I don't think they bought the rights to the music, either the show's main theme or the movie's soundtrack, the entire game features those new 10-second loops as music instead. Yes, they were seemingly that cheap when making this turd.
Daikatana's n64 cut-scene's, jeez. I think Destrega on the PS1 got better cut-scenes, and their cut-scenes quality feels like a B-Movie version of trying to be Metal gear solid cut-scenes quality .
Yo, no fucking way, I remember Batman Beyond running like a normal bad game on my n64 and not being sped up like that, that has to be an emulation fuck up.

I disagree, there's lots of cool Batman games. They're hardly masterpieces of the medium but then again, hardly any licensed games are, even the good ones. There's also way worse Batman games than this one too.
Sucky licensed games as a concept is largely dying off. People are more likely to be cautious of licensed games than they used to be, and not every single movie is getting a video game adaptation anymore. Thank heavens.

Seeing mods like Smash Remix makes me wanna find how to port those to cartridges too. I've actually been thinking of Batman Beyond too lol. Watched it a lot way back and randomly remembered it, shame the game sucks.
I can't believe I'm just now seeing that crazy Batman Beyond game. It just gets EVERYTHING wrong. I'm even more surprised that the AVGN hasn't played it yet.
- Long and boring collect-a-thon stages with a lot of one hit KOs that made you replay the whole level from zero without saving it, - N64 version had just one song the entire game, - all the 5 bosses are the same, - most of the stages hid the collectibles so well you had to backtrack the stage time after time - they waste some famous characters in the series making they appears just as motionless npcs (Psycrow, Monkey-for-a-head, Bob the Killer Goldfish) - awful camera (in N64 version only) because bad port.

7:26 "NOT FOR BROADCAST TRANSMISSION" buddy who's mans are you
Anyone else think Daikatana should be remade by the Shadow Warrior devs? If anyone could do a 180 with Daikatana with a remake, and make it actually good, it would be those guys. They do good first person sword and schut combat, and also have experience with oriental/bladerunner-y/futuristic environments.
Just got like 10000 videos notification from this channel lol
The henchman was just vibing to the music and Batman murdered him
Vinny how did you run Earthworm Jim? I use project 64 and i can never seem to get the emulators to run the ROM properly.
"properly" would be an overstatement.
I had Daikatana for N64, it was actually better than the PC version because it removed the braindead AI partners and obnoxious loading screens
How did they butcher the Batman Beyond theme song so bad
Funnily enough I don't think they bought the rights to the music, either the show's main theme or the movie's soundtrack, the entire game features those new 10-second loops as music instead. Yes, they were seemingly that cheap when making this turd.
OOOH YESS i can smell TRUEEEEESH ENDLESS TREEESH(glad nintendo sunday streams exist):p
30:18 For a split second, I thought Dreamer was Riker
I think that I need to get the ecw game just for the guy in the Immolation shirt.
Daikatana's n64 cut-scene's, jeez.
I think Destrega on the PS1 got better cut-scenes,
and their cut-scenes quality feels like a B-Movie version
of trying to be Metal gear solid cut-scenes quality .
The only true Earthworm Jim voice is the one from Sonic For Hire.
HEDGEHOG for hire :P
@@OtakuUnitedStudio The law can't stop me
Yo, no fucking way, I remember Batman Beyond running like a normal bad game on my n64 and not being sped up like that, that has to be an emulation fuck up.
_Superman_ should have 100% been in here :)
Daikatana N64 should not be compared to the PC one. The PC one can actually be fun and the N64 port shouldn't have existed especially since the Dreamcast was much more capable of running the PC release without any sacrifices.
I just imagine some kid big asks their family for a WWE N64 game and they get ECW. They're thinking "Not exactly the same thing but hey the title still sounds cool so maybe it'll be good". Then they boot it up. Uncle Jimbob and Memaw ask if you like it and you gotta fake smile and say it's a great game. I'm betting at least one chat member had that flashback when they saw Vinny play lol
I... Actually kinda like Earthworm Jim 3D
Take a shot every time someone says "Vinny you've played this" when he loads a game during any stream.
Take another if Vinny points out he hasn't.
Side note: I was hoping someone was gonna point out this Earthworm Jim was based off of the cartoon series Jim.
Nobody mentioned because it wasn't. Earthworm Jim cartoon cartoon was based off of the games, in the same way as Battletoads, Bubsy and Donkey Kong cartoon was.
@@gvohardcore I don't think you paid attention to what I said at all.
...or you're just an idiot.
*Everyone* knows the cartoon was based on the video game series.
Earthworm Jim and the other characters SPECIFICALLY in Earthworm Jim 3D were based on their _cartoon counterparts._
@@awmehgoddd just edit a third time your original post and stop being so bitchy, we already know who the idiot is here.
@@gvohardcore At least you're finally able to admit it. Good for you
Surprised AVGN has yet to do Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker.
Earthworm jim 3 is a good game. I will die on this hill.
Its a flawed but enjoyable game, It isnt the way 2 was, but there wasnt a good way to capture the same feel in 3D with 64 capabilities. It had fun mechanics, ideas and platforming, and as well its shortcomings like the camera and uninspired boss battles, but I really had fun playing and have good memories from It, but it was really hard for kid me...
The Blues Brothers 2000 movie was awful. Had no idea that an (equally) terrible game adaptation of it exists.
It's so weird to have a quiet wrestling game
All these Batman games being bad because of how licensed games suck in general, it really makes you appreciate the Arkham games tbh.
And even those i'd only call "average" in terms of gameplay.
Great fucking stories tho.
The NES one was the only good exception and quite good for its year.
@@Langas_LVDC The Lego games were alright as well
I disagree, there's lots of cool Batman games.
Tony Devito is my main man.
I felt my heart skip a beat when I saw the Blues Brothers 2000 game. I remembered that I owned a copy of the Blues Brothers for SNES, and thought to myself "I really hope Titus didn't make this one too". But then that logo came up. And I knew we were in for some trash.
I know this is bad shit but I miss my n64. First it broke, got a new one, but my brother has been 'borrowing' it for nearly two years now. Seeing mods like Smash Remix makes me wanna find how to port those to cartridges too.
I've actually been thinking of Batman Beyond too lol. Watched it a lot way back and randomly remembered it, shame the game sucks.
I knew Daikatana was gonna be here, based on the stream's title alone.
UubrMan X lol I was watching the VOD on twitch and the moment Vinny said “Daikantana” the entire chat was like “noooooo!”, “🤮” and “not that game!”
Civvie
Even the PC version was better than this poor excuse of a n64 port. It's actually not a bad game once you install the 1.3 community patch.
The Batman Beyond game was actually good, just harder than fucking balls.
I can't believe I'm just now seeing that crazy Batman Beyond game. It just gets EVERYTHING wrong. I'm even more surprised that the AVGN hasn't played it yet.
It gets the character designs right. That's the best that can be said about it.
bring back Earthworm Jim!
14:20 amogus
Sus
batman beyond runs properly on PS1 just gonna post this here
It runs properly on an actual N64, rather than ”a totally legit physical N64."
Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue was the absolute worst N64 game ever
Debatable but a strong competitor.
Vinny should try Hybrid Heaven
Late brain *beats meat* alright I'm up
Wait, what was wrong with Earthworm Jim?
EWJ3D was made by a different team who didn't understand how to make a good 3D platformer. The series is, otherwise, totally fine.
- Long and boring collect-a-thon stages with a lot of one hit KOs that made you replay the whole level from zero without saving it,
- N64 version had just one song the entire game,
- all the 5 bosses are the same,
- most of the stages hid the collectibles so well you had to backtrack the stage time after time
- they waste some famous characters in the series making they appears just as motionless npcs (Psycrow, Monkey-for-a-head, Bob the Killer Goldfish)
- awful camera (in N64 version only) because bad port.
You want a bad N64 game? Try the port of Armorines: PROJECT SWARM.
