She’s now won 6 Brits ♥️😭
I’m so happy for her❤
I am so proud of her.
Polydor crying into their beer now 😂
@@mothball5425 seriously! Look what they’ve missed out on!
They sent her flowers ??? Wtf. She should send them a cactus back
I wish she would see this comment 😂😂😂
😂😂
a dead cactus; which is almost impossible. but I'd manage.
this actually reminds of me a situation in kpop,
um a kpop idol Kim Jaejoong who was once apart of the kpop group TVXQ, left the group and sued their company which is SM entertainment, for a contract that was 13yrs long with excessive work schedules and I’m pretty sure he won the case but after he sued the company (in 2009 btw)
the company blacklisted him and he’s literally been out of the industry since then because of it
And it’s only like last year maybe he came back out and the company fr sent him a congratulatory flower thingy when he opened his own company
which is is honestly disgusting after they got him blacklisted for nearly 2decades like-
I’m glad raye talked about her feelings and experiences with the music industry so proud that she got things off her chest and she’s an icon
7 Brit award nominations for her yesterday! LOL she chose herself and WON 🔥🔥🔥
Triumph over adversity, everybody is so happy for her, she is super talented, and super strong, and a lovely person.
RAYE is an inspiration and a super talented icon, the physical manifestation of perseverance
She deserves all the success and happiness in the world she is so talented and beautiful. She deserves everything and more
Unique and talented, reminiscent of Amy but in her own way and has made it thru the other side. Love her! ❤❤❤
That’s what I thought, like a minimal 2024 version of Amy but totally her own style of verses, like a more kordwrn day version of her ❤
Im glad shes getting better and better success.
She said it best …. In her interview in other place…. “ I FOUND MY FREEDOM” 💫💫✨✨💫
She is a hero and an inspiration for so many. I hav not for a long time seen someone so brave, honest and authentic as her.
So happy she won The Brits’ Artist of The Year 🎉
Just listened to her album. What a boss.
I’ve only listened to her Song that went viral on TikTok, but her story is tragic. I could never imagine the frustration, sadness and betrayal she must’ve Felt when they told her she couldn’t do an Album.
And then went on and released the biggest song of her career so far. ❤️❤️
Finally i have found an artist Worthy of my attention and I cant wait to watch her evolve
I’m proud of you for this documentary, I’m a 52
Year old
Woman mother Nanna, and I love your music. But hearing you speak about your journey not only are you brave ❤but speaking with such love and power trying to help other women. And your healing now ❤ that’s the best part in it all
And seeing the closeness of your family. Fantastic voice, fantastic talent and the sky is the limit. Sending lots of love ❤️
It's all over now, she got to where she deserved to be and that label situation just makes her success that bit sweeter. There's nothing stopping her now..
She's a very fxckin brave strong woman! ❤
Her album helps me so much. Thank you for being so strong, Raye. You're light ❤
Now she’s won 6 brits…massive L to the label
RAYE! PLEASE AND PLEASE 🙏🏾.... Always use the Iconic platform you have now on the world stage to speak about the ills in the music industry because unfortunately many are still suffering what you suffered till today. I hope your power now with your fame and fortune, will help us responsibly tackle the evils and manipulations of this wicked industry which is only supposed to be about 'Talent' and nothing else. God bless you RAYE.
I/WE are very very proud of your success ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Knowing the way music industry works and that label works I would guess there was one person high up at label what she had pissed off and they were doing out of spite not to let her put on music.
She’s incredible raw and real and I love her so much for that. She chose herself and won.
She deserves THE WORLD!😮💨💯👑❤️
So proud of you Raye ❤️
Your so brave and extremely strong well done to you 💜💙🙏takes enormous courage x
The same thing Prince was saying for years and years. These record companies are pure EVIL. Good for her, freedom reigns!
Yet they still keep signing those deals 😂
You go, girl! It's your voice, it's your life!
Raye is the best, proud of her❤❤❤
Incredible artist 🙌
Proud of you!
Raye ❤❤❤
This is exactly why we try and help artists from the beginning because the "industry" can take beautiful souls and suck them dry in exchange for money, then spits them out broken, and then sucks up the next one looking for fame, validation, and attention. It's the cycle that they feed off ot
It's good that she can share some of her own experiences to the listener so that they knowbthat we all have more in common than not.
The harder the conflict the more glorious the triumph - look at her now
Prince would be looking down at her applauding, saying “artists should never be slaves for the record company, held in captivity around their art and work, freedom is where true creativity lives”
"a creator being created" Raye needs knowbody, from light into darkness shines light. ❤
So painful 💔💔💔💔✨✨✨✨
Where can i watch the full clip?
Keeping it real ❤
love this
Is there a longer version of this interview?
Love raye ❤
Great video and woman and singer
she reminds me so so much of Amy Winehouse omg!!
I need to check her out. Never heard a song but she must be dope.
Oh she’s phenomenal. A modern day Amy Winehouse imo
@@firewind3509 that’s what I figured. I’m a huuuuge Amy fan. Her albums were life changing for me
@@firewind3509another lazy comparison
I'm in love. ❤
She is the ONLY person who should be playing Amy Winehouse in her biopic. Period. ♥️
Absolutely not. She doesn’t have the talent
She should have her own biopic. She's an incredible artist
@@notknown6605 The lies you tell!!!🙄
@@CakesandCandelabras Yes I agree. However, that should come much later in her career and she shouldn’t play herself. 🤗
Perfectly stated! Are you going to be in control of your own life or allow someone else to control your life?
♥️⚘😢⚘ You did it girl!!!!! 👏🏽⚘⚘⚘⚘⚘
shes like a mix of amy winehouse, kali uchis, lady gaga and jazz greats
Prince warned everyone about labels so long ago
Apparently Prince still is
what a pretty and talented woman sad she goes through a lot
❤
Where can I watch the full interview?
BBC iPlayer
Thank god for US she got away from them!!! She is absolutely amazing! Wow, they must be kicking themselves now!!
😍😍😍😍😍
Nah we need to do something about this. like idk but do something about it
Shes left that label now. She won about 6 brit awards a few days ago
Are 6 Brit’s Award winner 🥇
She would’ve been perfect as Amy Winehouse
the fact that u would need to buy to watch this here on youtube is a mad disrespect to anyone in the UK. its a BBC program.
It's free on iplayer so no drama
Everyone saying the label was evil but what an incentive it gave her to get clean
some flowers lol
Isn't she friends with Normani? Even with RCA....
So basically her former label was full of incompetent losers who don't know what they are talking about, got it.
Polydor Records, no wonder, instead of letting any singers to own their creativity and their masters, Polydor just want to manipulate and control them 😐
@@ssectorlap they really think they are the ones who decide what's good music. They are probably the type of people who think they should have Raye's talent and she doesn't know what to do with it.
bad luck but she good girl
Looks like she found herself in a sh*t position…
Okay, I’ll see myself out.
(All jokes aside, I hope she’s doing alright ❤)
All thr best raye. And congratulations x
Be yourself,
Who’s her?
As you are on YT, look up Raye Live Royal Albert Hall. She is a very a very talented performer.
Oscar Winning Tears
Don’t search her up! Because… you’ll go down a rabbit hole of her singing 🫶🏻
😂😂😂😂😂
She looks better in this without the fake eyelashes
hii
first
These people don't ever seem to have an 'epiphany moment' BEFORE they make tons of money.
Funny that isn't it?
well she was promised an album and they kept refusing to let her make one, then eventually she had enough. lol how is she meant to know that theyre not ever gonna give her an album in advance is she a fortune teller
"These people?" Your ignorance is there for all to see. Embarrassing!
What are you on about?
Another feel sorry story.😮😮
They'd like her more if she used her real voice. Crocodile tears!
There's something that doesn't ring right for me. Can't put my finger on it.
Here we go with conspiracy theories 😂
@@loud7739 It's not a conspiracy theory. The autotune isn't human
@@ALEXXXCTROFFICIALshe sounds just as good live, no mic feed. so idk what youre talking about
Why not interview Ms Dagny, she is a lot more talented and happy!
Brilliant singer songwriter!
FAKE
No pookie bear, that would be you. Got get therapy
Get a life
6 brits .😊
Soooooo, her label forced her into substance abuse? Will the excuses never cease? Victimhood is an industry. People on "regular" jobs don't get all they want out of the deal either. I guess drugs and alcohol is their cure, too.
Overrated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Boo hoo! Her struggles are pretty minimal compared with tens of thousands of artists who have been screwed by the music industry, a business run by accountants, narcissists and perverts. The joke is that she has come out on top and she still wants to whine. Tell it to James, Louis Armstrong and all the thousands of black artists who got ripped off and abused by the industry and never recovered.
the label is same as Zayn Malik signed. So probably it would be happened to any artist either. Maybe her contract closely 360 deal
Every single person on earth has the right to feel how they feel you can't force an individual to be or to think how you wish they would act even you act in a way some might disapprove yet your feelings are worthy.
@@justineb1335 My post wasn't really about her feelings, it was about her platform. This woman has just won 6 Brit awards and she's bitching about "Her Struggle". How about a bit of gratitude? We all have struggles, we all have our crosses to bear. I'm not interested in someone who uses their struggle to garner more publicity. The music industry is a cesspool and it always been. The only good thing about it is that in 30 years it won't exist.
We all have a story, we all have horrors in our lives. They may be very important to us, but they are not important in themselves, nor do they have intrinsic meaning. This is just more of the culture of narcissism that is making the world so sick.
Then when was the interview done? Before or after the awards?I m not familiar with her but I m impressed that she has the courage to state the harm she did to herself and recognize she was not in an healthy path and I know for sure her testimony has already helped some artists who are still going through what she managed to escape . Self harm depression suicide are mental health issues to be treated seriously. One of the first way out is openly discussing it and Self accountability. In a world of ormeta and predatory behavior it's not that simple hence the drugs and the ods and the suicide she is courageous and she is helping someone somewhere.
@@justineb1335 I don't think these testimonials help anyone. In fact, I think they probably cause more people to go down the same road. It's one thing to realise that other people may have the same struggles as you, but that is a long way from understanding the real causes of self-destructive behaviour and infinitely far from overcoming it.The idea that we all have our story is perfectly fine, and important. The idea that it is important to and for others is just nonsense.
Anyone with half a brain knows at this point in history, exactly what the music business is. If you play in the sewer, don't be surprised if you get covered in shit. But people play in there because there's something in it for them. No producer has a duty of care; no Universal or Sony exec gives a damn about anything except money. If you get involved with the music business, you do it because you want money or fame, or both. If you can't handle the crap, stay out of the sewer. There's nothing else there; it's not about art or artistry or love. It;'s about money, power, fame and narcissism.
6 BRITS🏆🥇!! MORE WINS IN ONE NIGHT THAN ANYONE EVER🤎!!MY GIRLLLL🤎🤎!!
She's a 2 out of 10
This is so painful to watch. I’m so proud of her and all her success
