Seeing Jasper address how much bigger these escalations are was great. As a gamer it's easy to ride the crescendo towards a "boss battle" seeing Jasper playing as someone who wanted off was perfectly done. Also "YOU MADE HIM A F###ING GHOUL!" I needed that.
A crying Jasper saying "you are a fucking moron I hate you" to victor is the cutest and most tsundere shit I have seen this week, and I am on Sunday and my weeks are full of shit all days so I mean it.
Honestly, that was 3 seasons past due. Victor has been consistently callous about using his "friends". I bet in his mind they really are, but his actions say otherwise.
Shew! Finally, one of them called her out on it all. I'm actually glad it was Jasper, as his words seem to effect her more than the others'. But, Damn! He deserves a standing fucking ovation, for sure. This is where I give additional XP to a player. That being said; Xander Jeanneret would absolutely receiver his fair bit of Experience, as what he did to bring all of this forward. Very noteworthy in my book.
Jasper needs something to go right for him. He is not in a good place in his life and yet tries so hard! And it's so hard. "I don't want to do anything anymore" broke my heart because who hasn't been there? But for real that whole exchange of Victor reminding him of that shipping container rescue and telling him about the graduation... That's love. Amazing scene!
Eh, Victor always does whatever he thinks will get him what he wants. That was emotional manipulation more than love. To be love he would have to at some point said "If you need to leave, I understand." But Victor would never say that.
@@FulcanMal I disagree. Reminding someone that they DO have value is a good thing, furthermore I think at this point Jasper understands that Victor A) couldn't stop him from disappearing and B)Victor wouldn't try to stop him, even if he would try to keep tabs on him to know he's safe.
@@videogenics86 There is social/emptional manipulation in place here. The entire point Jasper was trying to make was telling them is he felt that they were way out of their league. And he prefered the stability of working under a experienced Baron like Abrams on specific things he felt he could control. The entire situation Victor was talking about is one of those situations where everything in his mind was going just fine. He is trying to manipulate Jasper into convincing himself a situation which doesnt make him happy is fine because of previous actions which have nothing to do with any of this going on. All it was is a attempt to silence the discussion itself. Because he knew if Jasper kept talking and he hadnt distracted him he would have left right there and then.
When Annabelle texted Janette about her sister and Jason carl said he would make a note afterward, my heart started beating sooo fast. Jesus, if only she knew how bad an idea that was...that is going to bite her later.
@@Gaelau I absolutely agree! No one knows that in the game's continuity. Metagaming ruins games. I'm more saying this a viewer who knows more than the characters do. XD Erika Ishii is an amazing player
The drama was real in this one. And everyone's acting was remarkable. Xander Jeanerette absolulety killed it though, and I have to commend him for reminding us that, as likable as they might be, these people are still all monsters at the end of the day. It is something I've been wanting to see more clearly depicted in LAbN for a while now. Of course, aspiring and struggling to be humane despite the nature of their existence is in the very core of VtM (unless it is a Sabbat roleplay) and is where some of the best drama and storytelling comes from, but I do wish that the other, monsturous side of these characters is shown more often. So thank you Xander, for giving us a taste of how scary and unsettling a kindred can be when he loses it to his beast and also for playing such a complex and tragic character. This is by far the best I've ever seen anyone play a Malkavian.
That's actually one of the things that I think a lot of the older vamps see in Annabelle. Despite being embraced, and by the Brujah, no less, she struggles to not give into the callousness and bickering that so much of vamp society seems mired in. Is she hypocritical? Absolutely, but I doubt there is anyone on earth who isn't. I think a lot of the backlash towards her is born from an idealized version of Annabelle. Hell even I find myself frustrated that she didn't let the Brujah deal with the idiots at the end, but honestly that kind of idealism is needed if you want to overthrow a system. Especially for a mouthpiece. She needs to believe in the cause. If she doesn't, as she may well be getting disillusioned at the end there, she will no longer be able to convince others. I believe that Annabelle is an amazing character, despite everyone's hate towards her, because she is very much a flawed character. They all are. The difference is that Annabelle has been thrust into a very important position and is only a year old. Everyone in the comments is basically screaming at a 1 year old to do the politically expedient thing to do. Which is totally contrary to her character and, at least in my estimation, far beyond her ability. She's a newborn who has just been told that she needs to fight monsters who regularly try to murder them all. As much strain as the others are under, I doubt that Annabelle isn't feeling crushed by the weight as well.
Daemonbot everyone’s hate towards Annabelle is justified,... like how people hate Joffrey and Cersei Lannister, eventhough they were amazingly brilliant characters. In most chronicles, especially involving high level Kindred society, you better learn fast or be ashed, in Annabelle’s case, here’s a newcomer spouting nonsense to older more powerful beings and didn’t think of the greater scope of the repercussions of her actions. Her character is polarizing, she is a rallying banner for idealistic players, and a hate sinkhole for cynical players. Personally as a latter type of viewer, say that she had this coming, with the others calling out on her bullshit and forcing her back to her sire. She got off relatively easy though, most of the time, in another coteries, her type of character would be ashed by her coterie to keep the status quo, may they be Anarch, Cam, Sabbat or any other sect.
@@Bastit3hman this was several months ago but I really must agree with that. I actually have not alot of issues with Annabelle, especially reading this part from the whitewolf wiki: "The Brujah's Compulsion is that the vampire takes a stand against whatever or whomever they see as the status quo in the situation, whether that is their leader, a viewpoint expressed by a potential vessel, or just the task they were supposed to do at the moment. Until they have gone against their orders or expectations, perceived or real, the vampire receives a two dice penalty to all rolls. This Compulsion ends once they have managed to either make someone change their minds (by force if necessary) or done the opposite of what was expected of them." Annabelle was a political science major and activist in life, her entire being is made up challenging almost any status quo, and now that she's a brujah, her very nature make it that she is going to challenge almost every authority on their ideals even if she comes off as a hypocrit. Erika Isshi is playing her character so well. What I am most excited is seeing Annabelle evolve into idealist rebel who is really not afraid of getting their hands dirty, to accept that monster part of her and truely own it. She's already horrifying in some cases for her decisions that made just based on her own odd morality scale. For her to eventually be more like nines and the valkyries and hell maybe meet one of the other bloodlines (like meeting a True Brujah, I think that will really be an interesting interaction). I was see how this character grows, I on the side of the Anarchs and I want to see if they can finally get everyone united against the Camarilla.
X was such a needed wake up call for Annabelle. She like lived in her powerfantasy where shes the protagonist of a revolution where unexplicably everybody loves her and hang from her lips at her every word, pretending to always have some kind of moral upper ground of everyone when she litteraly did some very horrible things, and everything goes magically good for her. She finally realize shes not dealing with people, shes dealing with monsters that looks like it. True of The world of darkness setting. Applause once again to Jason, The Best Storyteller of this kind of stories.
I mean... They should've asked Marisha Ray to film a short glimpse into Annabelle's GF's new night life, since she got effing turned. And Annabelle just moved on to son of her Coterie leader. A mortal one at that. And made him a ghoul, and even started talking him into turning, while he is razzle-dazzled by whole mystery of the flashy facade of World of Darkness. Only a true Ventrue would be able to not foam from such bullshit - B Dave Walters deserves a great praise for playing that bastion among the storm. Though maybe that's just how Erika Ishii wanted to show the monstrous side of Brujah vampire, so full of themselves in their drive for rebellion for the sake of rebellion itself.
Previous episode: Ib guesses Greg will say "meh, fuck off" when she tells him Jasper says hello. This episode: Ib tells Greg that Jasper says hello, and he responds with "oh, fuck off." Love that attention.
The moment Victor shows the kids they saved in their graduation photo was really touching. The list of the few good things kindred can accomplish is quite small, but it's a good reminder of their lingering humanity.
Nothing touching about social manipulating.. "Keep doing the thing you dont want to do because something that has nothing to do with this was positive" Jasper never disagreed with THAT. I love Victor as a character. But the man is a manipulative snake. I genuinly dont see how people just overlook that.. (Spoiler) especially in later episodes where he rants to his coterie about Hunters while taking absolutely 0 measures to cover the masquerade himself. Or the near constant broadcasting. Or as a character that he supposedly is close to 80 years old in mortal years and yet he is walking around with the vitality of a 20 year old both day and night. Because again, he said he had a double on a strict day routine to "keep appearances." But how can you be awake both day and night as a 80 year old? You cant, but he simply is unable to think even a single step ahead and as a supposed Ventrue that is just laughable. He beliefs he is a 4D checkmaster, yet he is just some Sofa Baron who just lucks and stumblef himself to where he is while entirely dependent on his coterie for everything. Without the coterie he is nothing. That isnt true for Nelli and Jasper especially. The man is a idiot and I wouldnt be suprised if it was his actions that brought the Second Inquistion to the ciry.
@@DutchGabbers Damn you had thoughts. No offense, but you're bringing a lot into here that frankly has nothing to do with my comment. I'm not discussing the characterization of Victor Temple, I'm discussing the evidence of the good Kindred can do. It feels like you're bringing a whole argument from some other conversation in here.
@@pjsmith97 Not really, this just symbolizes his whole character and for some reason Victor as a character a lot of the time gets away with it and portrayed as some "good guy" Yet all that happened was a conversation wasnt going his way and as a result he dragged in a completely irrelevant subkject which happened many years ago under entirely different circumstances when all of them were simply working for Abrams exactly as Jasper wants. And Victor uses that against him to try and pressuring him into doing something making it seem like his complains right now are invalidated because something which had absolutely nothing to do with the things Jasper had issues with. He never wanted him to be Baron, he never wanted the publicity, he wanted a more retreated and controlled envoirment.. He expressed his issues and all Victor did was ignore his issues and socially and emotionally manipulated him into silence. There is nothing "touching" about that. I simply was giving other examples where he did the exact same.
@@DutchGabbers As much as I enjoy this campaign, I think you're taking this all a bit too seriously. If my original comment was written combatively I'd understand why you're responding in multi-paragraphed posts to explain your counter argument. But, and I cannot emphasize this enough, all I said was that I liked a moment, that it was touching, with no attack to any person or character whatsoever, and you immediately came in treating this like a combative debate. You can have your own interpretations of a character moment. That's perfectly fine. But just be cognizant of how you come off, since not everyone comes into these comments looking to defend why they enjoyed something. Often times they just want to say "I enjoyed that."

OMG! 🤦♂️ For 10 Minutes everyone is talking about how to kill Therese, until someone (I think Jasper) says: Hey, the *Camarilla* Prince announced a blood hunt on an *Anarch* Baron and we *are* Anarchs...
This was a completely amazing and very shocking finale episode and a brilliant way to end the season. I'd just like to say that the acting from all the cast was spectacular, as always. Also Jason Carl's storytelling is absolutely enthralling and in every episode it is both exhilarating and absolutely terrifying (in the best way possible) to watch the narrative develop. Overall despite the slower pace of this season compared to the others, this show has lost none of what makes it so great and I cannot wait to watch the epilogues after this. Finally I'd just like to talk about this show as a whole. I discovered this show just after season 3 ended and I became completely captivated the second I finished watching the first episode. For me this show is something truly special and I value being able to watch this story play out and the range of different emotions it has made me feel. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you to absolutely everyone involved for making this show what it is to me. Keep up the amazing work.
NO NOT YET! IT CAN'T BE THE SEASON FINALE ALREADY! *weeps* Amazing performances by all! I hope this tuffen's up Annable. I love her idealizm but there is a time to talk and a time to let the Brujah out! X knocked it out and wow did not see that coming. Jasper you better not run off, they need you, I NEED YOU! And the Barons I love you two the bond they share is really great. And to Jason, what can I say? The work and effort you put into this is an absolute joy. When you say "its time to tell a vampire tale" I swoon. The NPCs and other characters you play. I know other's put their hearts into their characters but you, you put them in ALL the others and its wonderful to watch. Please all the cast, the crew, and everyone that helps to make this production stay safe and come back soon as we are all ready for season 5 now.
To be honest.. We are waiting since season 1 for her to toughen up.. I have little hope we will see any of that in season 5. The outbursts from jasper and x were sudden, but not unexpected. Edit: welcome to the world of darkness, Annabelle 😈
is it just me or Jasper's monologue was very much a cry out of this dread that i think everyone felt during this pandemic. (btw Covid got worst here in Brazil)
Amidst all the amazing performances, special shoutout to Xander Jeanneret, for whenever he slips out of character. No matter how dramatic and upset X gets, Xander does this little smile or shift with his eyes that lets you know, even briefly, that everything is okay out-of-character.
Ohh Jasper. You tell that little Punk Brujah how it is!! Love the acting in this whole scene. So good. Annabelle is great here imo and it really shows off some of the inherent character flaws inherent in so many of her clan. Namely selfishness and hypocrisy. In the world of darkness nothing is as it seems and our revolutionary leader is not perfect. Just as it should be!
the eternal petulent teenager lol. i love erica but annabell can be irritating lol. knda like crt role, love marisha, beau was awesome Laudina is the Best but keylith was a dipshit too.
Thank you!!! I think people often look at Annabelle’s character flaws of recklessness and naïveté as being somehow antithetical to the World of Darkness ethos. I’ve always looked at it as just another avenue of the personal horror of an existence that is anathema to your previous world view. As well as the selfishness and brashness that creates real tangible conflict within the ranks of otherwise allies, something that can lead to good character moment’s down the line
I am in tears. The performance from Xander has absolutely hit me. I’m going through similar emotions to X right now (of course, it has nothing to do with killing anyone) and seeing it in the screen has made me feel normal. It makes me realise how important friends are and to keep them close. Especially at a time like this. Victor is still my favourite but X now has a place in my heart that needed to be filled!!
Jasper: He doesn't mean here, here. He means on this planet. X: In the elephant! Appreciating Jeanneret playing X with internal logic and continuity, and his and Ward/Jasper's interaction, always. If Eva can't be here, I'm glad X is at the table with Jasper.
Fortunately it was dark and people aren't usually looking up when driving at night. So probably not as bad as it could have been. JCM wouldn't have created a masquerade breach and forced it on them, they have to make those choices themselves, I'd imagine.
@@fylmriss i wouldnt say this. i look at it as erika is more acting a role than roleplaying a role so she's going for the coolest, most emotional etc rather than what would be smartest for their character
Hmm, I didn't get a notification about this episode... Another great session. When Jasper shouted at Annabelle I was "Woah! Yes, it's about time." lol Still needs more garou though :)
Y E S This episode is just too powerful. The acting is simply majestic. The storytelling is gorgeous. I mean, I loved the whole season, but overall I felt quite a big lack of action. And this ep gave me so much of it! As Jason Carl says, "multiple things happened at once"! 1) I'm so glad that Annabel is finally given a boost for character development. Something really terrifying happened to her and she asks for help a person she tend to hate. X done a good job! 2) All the emotional scenes, especially with Jasper screaming at Annabel are so powerful. Just can not have too much of it. 3) Finally, the reveal of Caitiffs! 4) It's been a long time since the show treated us with some bloody, cruel shit. And I'm happy it's back again! Tormenting the thin-blood, killing and almost diablerysing the kindred... it feels so much closer to the original World of Darkness. And I absolutely love it! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Their live show in Anaheim introduced Caitiffs. (Hence why they talked with the Caitiff about Anaheim this episode.) But they had technical issues, so it's only available as a podcast. It was between...Season 2 and 3, I think. I remember being so confused and feeling like I missed a whole bunch of stuff until I found out there was a podcast.
I am kind of disappointed that X didn't become a malkavian-gangrel, but it is probably better this way, probably avoided an early final death by the camarilla...
31:05 a technical point. Victor asked permission to help X calm down. X accepted the offer a resistance check shouldn't be necessary as X is accepting what Victor is doing.
To you, this was 2 years ago. To me it was 20 minutes ago. Beautifully done, everyone. I never thought I would watch this type of roleplay game. Thanks, Taliesan Jaffe for the heads up. I finally followed that recommendation.
*applause to Jasper and X* So very well done, it’s been a long time coming. I loved the emotion in this scene. And those overworked tears did little to help Annabelle this time.
Amen. She has to the wall every Kindred hit in their unlife. When you realize that you are not a person doing good, but a monster... Trying to cage evil. That is the curse/gift
I watched this on Twitch over the weekend......wow, what an absolute powerhouse performance from everybody. Left me feeling emotionally raw. Special kudos, as ever, must go to the wonderfully multi-talented Jason Carl. His Storyteller talents are ones that all other Storytellers aspire to :).
Also, having X in there elevates everyone's roleplay. Xander is such a great role player. Enjoyed watching him since I first saw him on Shield of Tomorrow as a yellow shirt! Also Alex ward....so good with the I never wanted anything of this.....I just came along for the ride. That shit happens in real life all the time.
This episode was absolutely marvelous! Truly, truly amazing. I love the chaos of it. All of the actors are pure talent, also kudos to our one and only Jason Carl! Beautifully written. So, so great! Seriously. I have no words 🥰
Bravo! This is the most convinced I have been of the dilemma that they all face. I don't know where they pulled this emotion from but it was incredible, what a payoff! Amazing job and thank you all!
I am routing for jasper I love how Alex ward portrays him I hope that he can be happy in my opinion he is the best and probably wisest member of the vamfamily
Like holy smokes, that was another level of intensity o_O You can feel the emotions oozing from the monitor and what happened towards the end with 'X', just *damn* Everyone played their roles to the greatest ability.
I got my DICE today! Thanks for making the move to my new location, where I haven't a gaming group, less sanity-shattering, especially with the COVID stupidity going on. Your group really has made everything a bit more bearable. (Well, you guys and Brioni Faith live streams...)
I can't help but notice that X seems to have a thing for abusing animals. First ripping off the ear of Ramona's rat and now the whole situation with a "dog".
Fuck Yes X! Finally a truly dark moment in the horror campaign! That conclusion stole the show! The emotional build up was nothing to scoff at either but god damn that conclusion
Jason Carl Mr.Carl were X’s actions a surprise to yourself and the cast? Or was their some conversation in advance determining that he would head in this direction?
What an episode. Superb acting. I love Xander but in character I'm totally with Victor on the use dangerous unknown weapon on the would be diablerist. X is too unstable to trust especially if Therese was acctually on the side of Anarchs all along.
Thank you all for your outstanding work over the seasons. I am so looking forward to what's coming next. I hope all of you are staying safe and well in this time of unrest.
About time! 🥳 Her acting like an ungrateful brat after he gave her a "2nd chance at a 'life'", because of how steadfast she was in her rhetoric was getting old.

@@Darkmage1293 = X made that a reality for us, didn't he --- But, hey, let's face it. He would have a Legitimate gripe by the Coterie not prioritizing how to deal with Therese --- Therese's mental attack versus Prince Vannevar [assuming it was her, and not another Malkavian], by in large puts everyone in her Barony under the chopping block. As messed up as Camarilla Law is; if a Kindred were to act out against a Prince, their life becomes forfeit --- If it is a Primogen that acts against a Prince; it is Sedition, and the Whole of the Clan within the City can be punished for it. Therese being an Anarch Baron makes the waters a bit murky. Though technically not bound by Camarilla Law, a Bloodhunt can be called on her, because the Prince has Right of Domain over all Kindred, regardless of their allegiances. Unfortunately for X --- He not only is of the Same Clan as this Anarch Baron; It is Therese's Barony where X is officially considered to reside, as part of her Domain. So, if Therese isn't killed immediately; any Unbound within Therese's Domain, and any Non-Camarilla Malkavian within the entire city of LA, can legitimately be hunted down and executed by the Scourge --- and Aurora just had her Thinblood Prize, Blake, swiped out from under her nose.
So satisfying to see Jasper yelling the truth at Annabelle's face, that girl had a f**ing ton of issues, first her selfishness "oh i'm a kindred now... i feel alone, i'm gonna ruin the life of all the people i love!" including her boyfriend/girlfriend, "i'm gonna walk the nights moaning about a less violent way to do things, and send the Valkyries beeing slaughtered by the Camarilla's scourge!" and finally "i'm not listening all the most aged kindred who know better than me at literally everything, but instead, i'm gonna run into the arms of my hated vamp-daddy because fuck these guys without who i'll be dead a hundred times..." that's Annabelle ladys and gentlemen! But, i know there is a difference between Erika and her character.
Regardless of if I agree, it's very refreshing to see someone who's gets that the player is not the character. My characters do dumb shit that I don't agree with all the time. Lol
Your post just shows that hatred of Annabelle has little or nothing to do with what she actually does in the story, because almost none of what you said actually happened and even the stuff you technically got right is really biased. (One particular thing I notice is that while Annabelle is constantly blamed for supposedly getting the Valkyries killed, she's never given credit for the fact that her diversionary tactic worked - it split the Camarilla's forces and kept Aurora away from the battle to rescue Jasper. If Aurora was able to slaughter the Valkyries then she would absolutely have done the same to the coterie. Not to mention that this also resulted in Rodrigo sustaining wounds that allowed the coterie to kill him later. It's one of the most significant tactical calls made in the show, and Annabelle got it completely right. Even if Annabelle had meant for the Valkyries to be killed - which she obviously didn't - Valkyries for the whole coterie is an obvious trade. Exactly the sort of call people keep saying Annabelle should be making, yet her haters still spin it as a fuckup.) But I commend you for the fact that - unlike a lot of Annabelle haters - you at least have enough of a grip on reality to not extend your hatred of the character to the actress. Kudos for that.
@@jerkchicken_expertlyseasoned Oh, so the "sacrifice" of the Valkyries being butchered was a "tactical move"... remember me, why Jasper has being kidnaped in the first place? By protecting Mark, preventing him to be taken away by Aurora to hurt Victor if i'm right! When exactly did you think the whole Ellanor story is gonna come bite her in the ass, she scolded everyone about keeping secrets and she do exactly the same since day one back when she first be brought in front of Baron Abrams, remember the whole "Who's we?" thing if that's not a fuckup...
@@tofton1977 Yes, sacrificing the Valkyries to save her coterie was absolutely the correct tactical move. It's a simple concept, what aren't you getting? The correct term of course is "risking" and not "sacrificing", since it wasn't like their deaths were guaranteed. It was a military operation - soldiers aren't supposed to die but sometimes they do. Nobody's complaining that members of Isaac's brute squad died. None of the coterie knew how powerful Aurora was at that point. But if they had known, that just makes deploying the Valkyries that much more vital. Yes, Jasper was kidnapped saving Mark. The question is whether or not Annabelle made the right call sending the Valkyries in, and the obvious answer is yes. Annabelle can't go back in time, but in the situation they were in she made an important and correct tactical decision that saved the coterie. Why can't you admit that? And you're really scraping the bottom of the barrel for anti-Annabelle arguments at this point. She was brought before Baron Abrams when she literally didn't know anything. And literally every member of the coterie has chastised the others for keeping secrets while having secrets of their own. That's kind of their dynamic for multiple seasons. Attacking Annabelle for that just further proves my point. Next you'll be criticizing her for plot armor, ignoring all of the shit Jasper and Victor get away with.
Noooooo don't kill Therese! :( Also holy crap that group talk got freakin intense! Also also, I respect X. Gotta respect a Malkavian who won't use guns. They are anathema to my code of the silent killer. Also ducks are anathema.
I'm late watching these but wow, what a tour de force by the entire cast. Amazing to watch X remind everyone what it means to be a monster but also express everything he was struggling with and laboring under. Jasper and Annabelle, just wow. Jasper's rage and anguish was palpable.
Ok, what the hell? Their reaction to the prince declaring a blood hunt on an anarch baron is very mild. Like, that's completely throwing the truce out of the window. Even if they can prove Therese has been fucking with Vannevar's mind... so what? Vannevar has been fucking with Victor's mind and Suzanne has fucked with Nelli's mind. So... yeah. I'd be them I'd just say "good job Therese", that has been helping out weakening the camarilla for a few months.

@@videogenics86
There is social/emptional manipulation in place here.
_The players & storyteller... _*_Outdid_*_ themselves_
They took it to a whole 'nother level....
Next level performance! Wait for the next season!
When Annabelle texted Janette about her sister and Jason carl said he would make a note afterward, my heart started beating sooo fast. Jesus, if only she knew how bad an idea that was...that is going to bite her later.
5 months late to the party but as she said this I audibly saying "No no nononononononono"
Twin daughters of janus
Definitely a bad idea in-game, but Annabelle not messaging Jeanette, someone who's a friend of Annabelle, would be metagaming. Good for Erika.
@@Gaelau I absolutely agree! No one knows that in the game's continuity. Metagaming ruins games. I'm more saying this a viewer who knows more than the characters do. XD Erika Ishii is an amazing player
anarchs are too stupid to not notice that the voermans are the same person...

"I'll activate awe, f*** it!" - Jasper 2020
XDXDXD
WoW! What a dramatic episode! By the way, Ib's impersonation of Greg was 100% acurate, and she even predicted exactly his answer. Lol.
THIS^ it was worth watching for that alone lol! XD
Jasper calling out Annabelle on her shit was supreme.
1:02:05 - god DAMN. Watching the little subtle reactions from Victor, X, and Jason....and how Nelly didn't even FLINCH....made that scene 100% better.
@@vladimirserpov6773 I mean, she was already with both of them before she was embraced. She's polyamorous. So she didn't just "move on".
Previous episode: Ib guesses Greg will say "meh, fuck off" when she tells him Jasper says hello.
This episode: Ib tells Greg that Jasper says hello, and he responds with "oh, fuck off."
Love that attention.

"No one should be a slave and no one should have a boot on their neck just because of what they are and when they were born." - Victor Temple
Undisputed Baron of our hearts
You made him a fucking ghoul, 11/10 .
The wrath of the calm man is something to behold indeed.
Btw, i'm team Ib all the way.
Jason Carl is perfect as always, but that's no news.
X's roleplay was amazing!
The moment Victor shows the kids they saved in their graduation photo was really touching. The list of the few good things kindred can accomplish is quite small, but it's a good reminder of their lingering humanity.
Nothing touching about social manipulating..
"Keep doing the thing you dont want to do because something that has nothing to do with this was positive"
Jasper never disagreed with THAT.
@@pjsmith97
Not really, this just symbolizes his whole character and for some reason Victor as a character a lot of the time gets away with it and portrayed as some "good guy"
Yet all that happened was a conversation wasnt going his way and as a result he dragged in a completely irrelevant subkject which happened many years ago under entirely different circumstances when all of them were simply working for Abrams exactly as Jasper wants.

OMG! 🤦♂️ For 10 Minutes everyone is talking about how to kill Therese, until someone (I think Jasper) says:
Hey, the *Camarilla* Prince announced a blood hunt on an *Anarch* Baron and we *are* Anarchs...
Thank you very much for the kind words! :D
Thank you guys so much for posting. You’re making coronavirus isolation one thousand times more tolerable.
is it just me or Jasper's monologue was very much a cry out of this dread that i think everyone felt during this pandemic. (btw Covid got worst here in Brazil)
Dude, X was SCARY in this chapter, and all the drama, jeez gave me goosebumps. One of the best chapters
Amidst all the amazing performances, special shoutout to Xander Jeanneret, for whenever he slips out of character. No matter how dramatic and upset X gets, Xander does this little smile or shift with his eyes that lets you know, even briefly, that everything is okay out-of-character.
Which actually fits his character even more, the random emotional changes haha
If I were Jasper I frenzied every 10 Episodes or so, when he asks a straight question and NO ONE f*ing answers!
Me: Man they're being too soft on them.
Me 5 minutes later: Okay.
Yeah, and the seamless use of the metaphor of the bats and the elephant.
The ending has Annabelle soaring leaping across the highway in front of all those cars! This is a huge masquerade breach!!! Oh shit
Fortunately it was dark and people aren't usually looking up when driving at night. So probably not as bad as it could have been. JCM wouldn't have created a masquerade breach and forced it on them, they have to make those choices themselves, I'd imagine.
Erika is just not the brightest player at the table.
@@fylmriss i wouldnt say this. i look at it as erika is more acting a role than roleplaying a role so she's going for the coolest, most emotional etc rather than what would be smartest for their character

At the end of the episode Jason Carl going "This... is the World of Darkness" hit especially strong in this one. Oof.

This episode is just too powerful.
@@DAEsaster oh really?? May I have a link?
I am kind of disappointed that X didn't become a malkavian-gangrel, but it is probably better this way, probably avoided an early final death by the camarilla...
31:05 a technical point. Victor asked permission to help X calm down. X accepted the offer a resistance check shouldn't be necessary as X is accepting what Victor is doing.
Eh, could rule either way with a character not in control of themself.
i think it would be mental defenses. even if x said yeah his mind would probably defy it
Since X is a Kindred, his mind would automatically resist.
Everyone's acting in this episode was one of the highlights of this season, but Alex completely broke me this time. What a powerful performance.
This was crazy good, Annabelle was great. Jasper was great. X was great, this entire episode was HEARTBREAKING.

Holy hell. I don't remember Jasper EVER blowing up like that before. Still waters run deep, indeed.

Holy shit,I’m new to this world of darkness, man that exchange between jasper and Annabelle needed to happen.

Took forever for Carver's line in season one to have a payoff, but hey, here we are.
This episode was so intense, and there are so many good moments. Buuuut, I think my favorite part is Ebe's "Fuck off." at the very end. 😆
Eb has the best lines. "I'm sure he'll say something like: Meh Fuck off." Hahaha
X is so much fun. I really love this series. Thanks so much guys.
Holy shit... this blew me AWAY! well done guys!
Lol
I agree. I love Erika, but Annabelle is probably my least favorite kindred ever
Exactly the sort of call people keep saying Annabelle should be making, yet her haters still spin it as a fuckup.)
But I commend you for the fact that - unlike a lot of Annabelle haters - you at least have enough of a grip on reality to not extend your hatred of the character to the actress.
Gosh YES that episode! Jasper going rough was grandiose.
Noooooo don't kill Therese! :(
Also holy crap that group talk got freakin intense!
Also also, I respect X. Gotta respect a Malkavian who won't use guns. They are anathema to my code of the silent killer.
Also ducks are anathema.
Sneaking up on a Malk with Auspex....hilarious.
I love your show guys. You all do an awesome job. I would suggest that you guys put the links for your sponsors in your description section. Now I'm gonna have to go google level up dice. Saw their booth at Gen Con, but I was so tired I didn't spend a lot of time there. Was buys looking for other things and never made it back to the booth. I couldn't remember the name of the booth until I saw your show.
Seriously, the guys that brings you to use deserve a link i your information section. they deserve it. Love the Backblaze commercials and pics on intermission. Hope you guys will be back soon. I think I missed the announcement if there is going to be a season 5 or not.
That's a good suggestion, thank you!
