They passionately believing that if people change, Societies and Institutions could change! For Wilberforce, Christianity has to be applied thouroughly & practically in the home, in business and in politics. 🙌
Had school trips to wilberforce house where they had a full mock up of a slave ship thats no longer there, pity cos that was 40 years ago & I still remember the wax work slaves, chains & blood. No wonder he wanted it stopped seeing it for real.
Sorry. Omitting the history of Asian slavery, other forms of slavery in the West / Americas, stating "the African slave trade" as the "ultimate degradation of mankind" sounds too...PC. The intro is woefully incomplete, and I get it, this is about one figure. Understood.
So you begin by complaining "what about other slavery around the world?!" to acknowledging that this documentary is about a specific guy, who dealt with the African slave trade. Why the useless commentary then?
@@SPQR7117 - Because it reeks of PC Neo-Marxist same ol' same ol' tripe. Have you not been inundated with the Ultimate Sin propaganda against "Whites" and "Europeans" while WOEFULLY being distracted from the Macro Context of World History and the Evils of Slavery also by "People of Color"? My experience at one of the most liberal universities in the U.S. bore that out. Maybe you cannot relate. We can agree to disagree.
The original is narrated by Bill Cameron Johnson with music by Louise Spooner. Why did you change it? Didn't you like the English accent? It has been ruined here and the music is absolutely appalling.
@louisemccarthy351 I agree with you about the music. However, the narration may have been changed to allow very young American audiences to understand more easily. The narrator's voice reminds me of my junior high school science films!!!😊
The Apostle Paul was a slave: a slave to righteousness. As he said, we can either be slaves to sin or slaves to righteousness. In any moment of our life we are either a slave to sin or a slave to righteousness, serving the devil or serving God.
Even though evil practice of slavery is sanctioned by the Bible, William Wilberforce bravery rejected such evil. The way I see it, if the BibIe was wrong about slavery... could it be wrong about other matters?
I doubt it. It would be best to thoroughly read and study what the Bible says about slavery. Though it does record it, it actually encourages people to set slaves free. 😉
@alexanderjohndeocareza5938 I don't know what Bible you have read but my copy says: 1 Peter 2 : 18 clearly states "You who are slaves must submit to your masters with all respect. Do what they tell you-not only if they are kind and reasonable, but even if they are cruel." Ephesians 6 : 5 states "Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ." There is also the matter of Abraham basicallyRaping his one sIave Hagar to produce a son. Let's be honest, the Bible is pro-slavery. And slavery is simply evil.
@@RocKnight11But it was through the Bible that Wilberforce came to know about God who changed his life to fight slavery. Most people in history who fought slavery were Christians, the Bible and prayer helped them overcome this challenge. Maybe you just need to learn how to read Bible verses in context, which helps us understand it better. I was privileged to have undergone basic Bible Study training for it. It might help you too. Take care. God bless! 🙏🙂

Thank you for giving us a truthful and comprehensive account of this amazing Christian leader.
These are amaZing testimonies of lives that were touched and changed by God's unconditional and unending love❣️ and grace🙌

Brilliant, thank you.
Thanks for the excellent detailed information. 🥰
Well Done! Thank you.
There's no well done about this plagiarised version. The original had excellent narration, specially composed music and good graphics.
Thank you for this.
What a shame the original and beautiful music has been lost.

Too bad the Apostle Paul didn't speak out against slavery rather than support it!
😂😂
He did! Too bad that you missed it.

Just curious: Did you ever find out why Abraham did what he did to Hagar?
And how exactly is the Bible antiSIavery?
Nice
But even slave masters were also Christians.
