Dude! You hit the jackpot! From what I can see it has soo many genuine Re-Amemiya parts! AST, Boost gauge with stalk pod, Gearknob, frontend, headlights (with the glas missing), rear wing, door handles, front wheels, fender mirrors, diffusor and even the backbox (named Dolphine tail). If you are going to do a build on this car, dont go Veilside or Rocket bunny. Keep all the Re-Amemiya parts and maybe add the widebodykit (Ad-GT) and do a full Jdm Time Attack look. With all those parts it would be a shame to see something half-assed come out of this! Re-Amemiya is the most prestigious rotary shop in japan and I guess the first builder spent a pretty penny on this car as Amemiya is really expensive.
Agree keep the RE-Amemiya parts, look at the exhaust to see if you have a white smoke at cold start. The white smoke (A LOT OF WHITE SMOKE) will be a tell tell sign of apex seal is going bad or bad and need replace (I have to replace all 3 apex seal). I use to own a FD and it's not too much fun when the rotor goes bad. Abel Ibarra is the Rotary Guy. You can run a little rich on these wankel engines, make sure it never lean you will fried the rotary. Good Luck on the build.

The theme in this RX7 FD Itasha is (Magical Lyrical Nanoha) the waifu in the car is one of the characters called Fate Testarosa. (The Blonde one) Bardiche is her weapon.
Fate Testarosa's voice actrees is Nana Mizuki. This is why the sticker "Nana Sound"
The character changes her last name in later season to "Fate T Harlaown", that is in the stickers with weird lettering.

Everything on that car is valuable (arguably even the sticker concept) to the right person. That said, if you're keeping it, ditch the twin turbo, get something that keeps the engine happy, and also, check what's going on with the engine, get Dahm to come take a look. That'd be a great collab if you can unglue him from his cars. The Re-Amemiya parts are *muah* chef's kiss. A bumper alone is one grand in decent condition. Whomever owned this, they weren't a slouch, they put a lot of work into this car, that alone deserves respect, don't half cock it.

I’ve had a few of those and the way to go is remove the “rats nest” of vacuum lines and go single turbo. Keep the power FC and controller, it will be useful! Awesome cars.

The engine sounds like it's blown but rebuilding these is not difficult. Restore it and bump up the power to 400-500hp on mostly stock internals and you're set

In my mind the only sensible thing to do with a FD nowadays is to restore exterior/interior to stock or better than stock, rebuild engine, convert to single turbo and keep it to a power level of around 450 to 500HP at the wheels. Plenty of fast without going overboard. Nice little car that captures the car enthusiast idea perfectly. Demand for these will only increase with time...

Keep it 13b, keep the V-mount. Find a pair of rear RE Amemiya wheels to match the fronts, and... one side of me says the design should stay as wild as it is, and another part of me wants to see just a nice, clean candy dark red paintjob with all that nice RE Amemiya bodywork.

That Small Channel That was half its problem, my mum had one when I was a kid, she absolutely loved it, but when it came out of warranty, it was uneconomical to run as the electrical gremlins constantly caused issues, so it she traded back into Mitsubishi against an Evo 6 (I’m from the UK).

In Australia cars are RHD, depending on the brand, they change where the indicator stalk is. In German vehicles the indicator is on the left, in Japanese vehicles the indicator is on the right. Love the vids
I got used to just checking which side they were on for every new car I sat in. I never realized that this was a weird thing. I just assumed the rest of the world was used to the stalks being on either side depending on model too lol
In UK regular cars have indicators on the left but import and Korean cars have it on the right.

This is exactly what they do in india too...very few German (and some older american cars) have the indicator stalk on the left... everything else has it on the right

Keep it clean. Maybe restore the turbos. Interesting to see what the two sizes can do.
Check and fix everything engine related, change it to a (not too big) single turbo, give it a proper exhaust, a good robust tune and then fix up every crack and stuff on the exterior and redo the wrap a bit more subtle. A bit of Anime is okay. Just dial everything back a bit. Then you have a dream car.

Turn signals - it's like LHD cars only when it's meeting market is RHD. In India (RHD) early Fiat Punto, VW etc came like LHD. But almost all cars are with turn signals on RHD

13:55 sounds like one of the turbos is going. Loose compressor wheel that is allowing oil blowby from a feed line? Could explain the lack of observed oil pressure at idle. There was a small puff of smoke on the approaching shot, but I couldn't see the tell-tale color of oil.
There are so many of these that are modded to the hilt, it would be nice to see a nice clean one. Not necessarily stock, but just a nice clean useable fast-road car, almost like how the lads at bad obsession motorsport have done with project Binky

Keep the body kit, just repair and paint it. Vibration is probably engine related, get angel motorsports to refresh it and guide you on redoing the twin turbo setup, or go to a twin scroll
Otaku here. The Girl on the side is Fate T. Harlaown. She‘s from the Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha franchise. It‘s a magical girl anime with games like Puella Madoka Magica Side Story: Magica Record. The girl on the hood with her is Nanoha Takamachi. She‘s the Main character of the series and both are around 9 years old.
Love the R34 just hanging out totally nonchalant in that shop.

I think it would be pretty sweet to get the Veil Side Fortune-7 kit (The one from F&F Tokyo Drift)
I think that would also get him a lot of support being that there are not many content creators featuring those cars with that kit, although it may be hard to come by really cheap being that he would most likely need to import a kit from Japan.
I like how there's just casually a R34 M Spec in millennium jade in that warehouse.
The RX7 is an automotive classic. Stock it looks awesome. Tuned with body kits it looks awesome. Tokyo Drift Veilside it looks incredible. For me it screams Need for Speed games. I absolutely love Kenji's Bushido RX7 from NFS Carbon. The car in the game looked very good and not riced. Same goes for Aki Kimura's Noisebomb RX7 from NFS ProStreet. Other cool RX7 were the once raced in IMSA even though it was an FC. I even think a 787B Renown livery would look cool on it.
The cool thing is there's so many cool liveries and looks that fits the RX7.

Widebody with a viper style hood back in high-school I used to drool over pictures of these Rx-7's and the Mitsubishi 3kGT Widebody with (Dodge)viper style hoods that I only ever saw a couple times but makes both cars look so executive and classy in solid colors
Need a going through maybe up grade with the drift kit on the wheels to get a bigger steering angle. So a rob dahms and freedom factory. Drift and drag comp maybe get the cop cars into the action.
I'm not into the stickers as well. But did I remember correctly that Tavarish has a 3 rotor engine laying around somewhere? It would be awesome to see it in this thing!

Because I really just wanted to know, it looked like all the anime decals are from a series called Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha. Most of it was coming out in the mid-to-late 2000s. I'm going to assume the work done on the car was when the series was current, so about 15 years ago.
5:10 Having driving cars in Japan with fender mirrors, those are MORE PRACTICAL than mirrors on the doors. Seriously, they are way better. Also BMW was notorious for not flipping the wiper and turn signal stalks when switching between right and left hand drive.
Outside of Japanese/Korean I've never seen a single manufacturer who does swap them tbh but there's always stuff you haven't seen in life.
Here in India, Volkswagen, Skoda, BMW and a few other german manufactures have their wipers and turn signals on the other side ....
That’s such a rad FD! Personally don’t care for the anime stuff so. Keeping it dripping with that kinda classic tech would be legit if it functions well enough, if it becomes too much a headache than possibly go more modern tech if you have to. Keep with the RE Amimiya theme and run there gorgeous wide body kit setup would be gorgeous. As many headaches as the OEM turbo system is it would be cool to see if you could make it work better before going single turbo

check your coils. Mine did that same thing when it was misfiring. a rotary really should have no vibrations.

I guess the reason cars here in the UK have the same stalks as everywhere else (except Japan, maybe a few other places) is because the stalks are used on the car globally. Take say BMW, they’ll build left hand drive cars for all over the world so use the same for those coming to the UK. At a guess. Never really thought about it until now.

COST CUTTING IS THE CORRECT ANSWER...if changed the engineers would have to design the change, the wiring harness would need modified, the pins in the column would need reversed. The cost to do that to scale is too much
When I was a kid in the 80s the cars my dad had had the stalks the same way as the FD, it’s only when he bought his first foreign car (a VW Golf) that the stalks were reversed. I can remember when he first got it pulling up to a junction and putting the wipers on instead of the indicator. They’re all the wrong way for RHD now.
Freddy is right but the Japanese vehicle must be Import or pre 1995.
French Vehicles are built the cheapest. Window wipers are always the wrong swoop side.
And the Door Locks are Passenger side on UK models sold after 2001
Back in the 80's I had a Vauxhall Astra and a Lancia Delta that had the stalks on different sides.

Indicating and changing gear in a right hand drive car in the UK is easy, you got the indicator as your hand moved down to the gear stick. Very very simple. Love that it blows American minds though 😂

@Tavarish Here is the story of indicator stalks on the 'wrong' side in UK... I come from Malta (EU) and we also drive on the Left, therefore we use RHD steering cars like UK. As Tavarish said, it makes sense that the indicator stalks should be on the opposite side of the gear lever. Keep in mind that the majority of Europe is driving on the Right side of the road, therefore European cars are made with the steering on the Left (indicator stalk on the left) - like USA. So manufacturers that do RHD steering cars, just move the steering stalk to the Right without certain modifications, and that is why the indicator stalk is kept on the left on a RHD steering car. In fact I have a Peugeot 207 that is RHD steering and even the brake master cylinder and booster are on the left with an extension to the right! Now, when it comes to Japanese made cars, for Japan the market is quite large and the cars are purposely made for Japan, therefore Japan imports to UK have the indicator stalk where it should be, therefore at the end of the day, having the indicator stalk on the 'wrong' side is all about costs.

Awesome car. I would love to see it look similar to the Supra and the 3000gt vr4 (super clean and somewhat built). The anime stuff is what it is, but I would definitely prefer a cleaner, simpler look.
Honestly the engine/trans but restored to a veilside or a stock rendition for the street would be epic
