We race the Revo Porsche GT2 class . Only things we can do is wood guide . Optional to change the pinion and spur gear to plafit in the same ratio 12/33 ,change the tires to any Revo compound for the normal or wide wheels and glue and true the tires . Awsome running cars .
We have a HOST Race next weekend. We have 3 Classes each Race (monthly). We have limited pit space so we are asked to keep it reasonable. For Christine and I, I bring a min of 2 cars per race per person. So 12 cars are ready on raceway! And Chris and I like similar set-ups! I still tear my hair out. Group C is the worst@ I love those cars.....I have SO many choices.
Hi Marty, unfortunately I havent done enough tuning to help you out, but the reverse is awesome. I always learn something watching your videos and reading all the comments Thanks for sharing
Good morning early bird ,brother Marty , having my coffee always enjoying info and learning myself. Thanks for the show buddy ,heading to worship practice ☝️🙌😊God bless have a great weekend.🏎️🏎️🏎️🏎️🏎️🏎️
Marty: Caveat, I have never competitively raced any of my multiple Revoslots. Like you I just time trial them at home. I have found that spacers under axle holders lowering the car to 1 mm and some tire tweet oil treatment polishing and softening the rear have been my 2 significant valvations of note to offer you.
Good morning Marty. In terms of the braids on your Porsche 911 a brass-brush is pretty usefull to comb the braids to clean them up. Pull the brush towards the rear. A drop of oil onto the braids would also help cleaning them from time to time. But just a small drop though. I use Ballistol for that. The oil will help cleaning the track-rails that way , as well. The 911 is pretty tail-happy im the curves, so maybe a little extra weight behind the rear-axxle could help in that case. Try it out. If not, improove your driving skills with it. Means slow down a bit with it inseide the curves. Also a different guide-keel could help. Frankenslot and Slotinvasion do have those as spare-parts. I prefer the Frankenslot guide-keels. They are good and i don`t have any experience with the Slotinvasion ones. It is a try out thing. Have a nice Saturday and a fine 1 Advent tomorrow. :-)
I need to pick up a small brass brush for that Bo! Yes, the 911 has always been a bit tail happy.. I have tried weight and it doesn’t like it.. just slows it down. But I won’t give up!! The car looks too good to not get the handling right! As always, thanks Bo!
My 1/32 analog club races Revos regularly, and hands down the preferred car is the Marcos. Ugly as it is, it's as low as a Thunderslot Can-Am with the shortest wheelbase of any Revo. The Marcos cars out-perform everything else.
Hi Marty, yes, I think deslotting settles it. The Ferrari is wider and has a lower centre of gravity than the Porsche. Maybe swap the motors out if the Porsche seems a bit quicker?
@@twolinesslotcars - otherwise, it sounds to me like the new Revoslot Toyota GT1s are just itching for their own club class. They look fantastic and if everyone gets one then it will be a 'win' for your lovely local 'Cincyslots' and, most certainly, this goes more than 90% towards dialling 'car' out of finding who is the best driver. As the blacks and gulf blues will no doubt prove popular then mine would be the yellow one :)
That close, I’d go for the one that stays in the slot. Can’t win if you ain’t runnin’! That Porsche sound super smooth though! Maybe adjust the controller a bit for the Porsche when you are on Bruce’s track. Never added weight to a Revoslot yet. Maybe bevel the tires on the 911 a bit?
I’ll add that I have seen lowering the rear end a tad helps with grip. Add a piece of tape or thinnest spacers you have between the rear axle blocks and chassis. I also replace the guide with a SlotInvasion - not for depth, but the thickness settles the front nicely. Good luck at Cincy!
G'day Marty this sounds crazy some cars handle tracks a bit different which is odd . My problem was I moved the weight ratio around the car handle great
The edges of the tires on the 911 look squared off so maybe sand a slight radius on them and test again. Thursdays this month at Cincyslots should be interesting! See you there.
Saturday Morning Coffee with Marty! The Porsche also seemed to be a little more tail happy through the corners. The only extra thing I do is apply a little Slick 7 Voodoo lube (which I believe you use too) to the braids for a better contact to the rails. Another great video. Thank you Marty!

Great vid, good info. Thank you, have a good one. Slot cars for life!
Thanks! You too!
HAPPY SATURDAY MARTY
read all the comments. Nothing I can add. Hooked on speed.....glad to see alot of happenin going on .....have fun...
Thanks Dafingers!! Hope all is well your way!
Hi Marty...
I have both of those cars. Very close. I found the Porsche had less tail wag
Stock...no tuning
Thanks Vin! My Porsche is the one with the tail wag.. I will figure it out!

Good morning! I have worship practice on Thursday nights.. it bumps into racing 😂
The fastest car is always the choice. I do all the basic tuning etc but I always throw on new BOBKAT tires for club racing. Nice track btw! 🏎🏎🏎
Right on!

Thanks!!! I will give that a try on the 911!
Great content Marty - Ian and I just purchased our first BRM and are looking forward to getting into this tuning / tinkering and fettering game.
Welcome aboard!

I have both of those revos and I would go with the 333. The tape really helps quiet them down. Nice set up🤜
It is a blast to drive Jim!

Thanks Rex! It is interesting how tracks are different.. and how different cars like different layouts. The Repsol Marcos is a good looking car!
Always great to see how folk prepare their cars for racing 🏁 👍
Still some work to do.. thanks!
I think you should race the CLK that I know you're going to buy!
Hi Marty, yes, I think deslotting settles it. The Ferrari is wider and has a lower centre of gravity than the Porsche. Maybe swap the motors out if the Porsche seems a bit quicker?
I might try that.. they are so close.. I have a few more things to try.. see if I can get the 911 where it needs to be

Thanks Joseph! Great advice!
If the rules allow, can you change the pinion on the Ferrari up one tooth or the spur gear down two? Gain some top end speed
G'day Marty this sounds crazy some cars handle tracks a bit different which is odd . My problem was I moved the weight ratio around the car handle great
Yes Rhys.. I think that is what makes this hobby so challenging!
Hi Marty again I use Slot It copper braids much softer and better My opinion all the best to the race
Arne, I use SlotIt Braid too for that very reason!good choice.

Only we use silicone tires 😩 😂 grabbing some coffee now Chris! Have a great day my friend!
@@twolinesslotcars Between Quick Slicks and Super Tired we are the same.
Yes I do use Sick 7 voodoo in the braids.. I miss read your comment 😂
Both are beauties! But I always choose Ferrari 😅
Of course!! I would expect nothing less!!
Hi Marty I have on my Revoslot cars put 2 g in the front close to the guide taking the spring what a difference
I will try that!
Take both of them with you, drive them both during warm up and decide at the track.
Basically I would use the F333SP
It is now the faster and better handling car.. I think that Darrell might be on to something about the tires on the 911…
Morning Marty, another great video
Thanks brother!
Actually I have a question, is the track in the video carrera 132 digital? Where can I buy the vehicle in the video?
My track is both digital and analog.. and the cars are Revoslots… you can find them at CincySlots.com or lebhobbies.com or Slotcarcorner.com
Marty, Is that tape under the brass nuts? Electrical tape? Btw, SlotRs fastest Revo has been the Respol Porsche. Good luck racing!
Yes. Tape to quiet down the chassis.. I may pull it off and see if it is hampering the handling.
Gas On !
Let's go!! :)
