I used to work graveyard and drive one of these to go skiing with a weekday pass in Washington State. Delivered newspapers with it. Very reliable vehicle..

Hey wrencher, she is a beautiful example of a Tercel wagon 4WD,and they bumper sticker is so profound, no matter where I go there i am, or something like that!🤪
Hahahah that's my favorite sticker! I think I'm going to try and get the other two off. But the center one you mentioned is my favorite. Thank you so much!
You've got to be happy with that trouble free wagon! It seems to have been cared for by the previous owner, and I know you will make it a mint example after cleaning and administering TLC.
Thank you! It is incredible. I did a bunch of little maintenance on it already. Soon the suspension will be refreshed and a few old and leaky seals will be replaced.
That's awesome! I almost wish we would have tried to add a second day to the trip. It would have been awesome to stop around and see other people we know along the route like you guys. It was a little bit of a last minute trip though so we just hammered down back roads and headed home.
Do a sit down and go through video of that notepad of notable things he learned about 80’s tercels with your commentary! Useful knowledge to disseminate!
Good luck with this car. Looks awesome. Let us know how it turns out. Be careful with the high sugar in those MTN Dews. Diabetes and cavities can be pretty nasty. I wonder why Maaco didn't respray the bumper assemblies, rear garnish, etc.?
Thank you! This car was a part of the All Toyotas of Midwest show a few days ago. It was a blast! People really seemed surprised to see an old Tercel! Haha.
Looking at an 85 Tercel Wago in Idaho, 180k, they are asking 4500. Would you mind sharing what you paid and the miles so I can have an idea of what is a reasonable price. Thanks.
I did! I wish I did a better job filming at gas stations and stuff. Unfortunately I was a little scatter brained. We got 29mpg the first tank and 30mpg the second tank!

Cool car. Love these things. Vid was not complete without the Mountain Dew ;)
Hahaha thanks! I really appreciate it.
Those Tercels are so damn cool, I wish I had one. Also, cool Brad Perez shirt!!
The highway at the 8:30ish mark was a road me and Kurtis went on on the 21 Iowa gambler. Lol small world

@@BeardedWrencher it would've been another 4 hours away. The gambler started at effigy mounds wherever that's at and we live in manning
Lovely video buddy, that's an impressive car! You managed to pick up a whole day or two's supply of mtn dew too, what a great trip!!
Hahah it was a great trip! I wish I did a better job of filming stops but I am still excited to finally have a nice and clean tercel.
This is the second time watching this. Do you still have this Tercel? I hace not seen it recently on your channel
I appreciate it! I sadly no longer have it. It's currently in New Jersey. I sold it recently to keep funding other projects/adventures.

Thank you so much!

Those 3A engines are incredible!
They're troopers! I am going to replace the valve stem seals soon. It smokes a little on a cold startup.
@@BeardedWrenchermy first 4WD Tercel had bad valve seals, got it for a good price because it smoked, and so cheap and easy to fix !
Congrats man!!!

Depending on what the previous owners notes say, it might be worth it to share with the rest of the tercel community
I'll dig through them again and maybe share some info on the tercel4wd forum!
Well done, mate!
Thank you so much!
Congrats!!!
Thank you!
I have Tercel in Ethiopia i don't have an idea how far lol
Quite good shape for a Minnesota car. :) I don't even see 4x4 Tercels out here in California.
Thank you! She's really clean and well preserved. I can't wait to fix it up even more!

Did you check the mileage on the road trip?
I did! I wish I did a better job filming at gas stations and stuff. Unfortunately I was a little scatter brained.
We got 29mpg the first tank and 30mpg the second tank!

I hope to visit someday and find a clean and rust free car to rescue!
What size are the rear speakers I have some and also need any parts I can take them off my tercel
They're 5.25 speakers I'm pretty sure. The rears aren't working on this wagon right now. They're blown out completely sadly.
