Its lovely! Thank you for posting, Liz 😊 So calm, harmonious and inviting! Much like Japandi Style in the beginning, which I truly admire also! ❤ Enjoy your weekend!
Hope your time off is restful and reinvigorating! I know you were just giving us examples of calming and sophisticated palettes, but that staircase at 1:58 is a death trap.
Lovely rooms and great suggestions. I note that the photographs show wonderful rooms that have that simplicity and minimal colour palette while highlighting the wonderful outdoor views that would qualify as art! Not having such a wonderful outside view myself I do have many art pieces on the wall (maybe too many?) that do not reflect my chosen neutral palette. Would I have to part with my art in order to better create that lovely elegant simplicity? Thank you for sharing these thoughtful vlogs and enjoy your hiatus!
Thank you! Artwork is one of the things that can add color and interest to a neutral palette. In fact, the neutral backdrop will help it stand out. If you feel you have too much maybe you could move some pieces around or evaluate the pieces and keep only the ones you really love.
I've noticed that the current trend is an "interesting" fusion of shapes/styles pulling from the 60s, 70s and even art deco w/the vertical lines of cocktail tables and consoles. The difference however are more muted natural tones rather than their original bold color palettes of their respective eras.
Hi Gina! I saw your comment on that video and responded. Unfortunately, I had an issue on that video so I had to take it down and republish. I hope you'll add your observations here. They always add so much to the discussion. ❤️
