A woman’s hair is her glory. Hair loss for women is hell on earth. My hair started shedding when I was 14 years old. I’m now 37. It has impacted my life so much. I don’t feel pretty anymore. It has completely shattered my confidence. I always compare it to men losing a few millimeters of their penis throughout years. I feel less and less like a woman. With the years I’m losing my feminity. I have completely shut myself off from men. I don’t think any man would be attracted to a balding woman. I prepared myself mentally for a lifetime of loneliness. I’ve tried so many things. Spent so much money. Seen so many doctors. I’m just so tired. I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy. Every time I see a woman with thinning hair I pray to God to heal her. I’m crying while typing this. Sending healing prayers to all women that are dealing with this❤️
My sister has great hair and she does nothing. Mine started falling out at 18 and I tried everything. Everyone is different. My point is there is nothing wrong with giving up and put on a wig. There are many pretty, real looking, affordable wigs out there. And they take 1 minute to put on. And maybe 30 mins to take care of a week max. You can change your hairstyle everyday, length, style, color, anything is possible. Just remember your hair is not your worth. You might find out that you’re actually happier with wigs instead of spending a ton of time and money on keeping your natural hair. It’s definitely a personal and emotional ride. To those who struggle with hair loss, i feel you, im with you. Stay strong! You’re beautiful regardless of your hair.
Yep. My sister and mother wash their hair every day with cheap shampoo and no conditioner and have beautiful hair. My brothers also use cheap shampoo and their hair is so thick and grows quickly. My dad has thin hair but it’s shiny and grows quickly. Mine falls out regardless.
Same! I'm 19 and hairfall has left my hair to a third of what it was a few years back. I am so worried abt it like this much hairfall at this age doesnt seem normal at all😣 i seriously feel like going for really short hair bec of this just so that hairfall doesnt worry me much
The thumbs up and down do nothing different. It's still considered participation by the algorithm and boosts the video so giving it a thumbs down is just as helpful as a thumbs up
It feels good to read such supportive comments. I am not alone. That fact makes me feel so much better about my loss. Hair has been a woman's pride throughout history, yet in reality it's just something that protects us from the elements sun, heat loss, etc. We are so much more than that. Our hair does not define us. It's time for change.
I know how it feels. Hope you'll be able to overcome this situation soon. I am in a similar state as you. Considering a PRP treatment soon. Hope it will work
Vitamin D3 is absolutely critical for preventing, and lessening the severity, of infections, including COVID-19. The majority of people are deficient, sometimes at critically-low levels, of this vitamin, without which the immune system can’t function. I took 2,000 IU per day for six months, then got a blood-level test. It was barely in the sufficient range, and nowhere near optimal. It must have been extremely deficient before I began taking it early last year! So, I now take 5,000 IU per day, which gives me some extra coverage because I forget to take it sometimes, about twice per week on average. (I also take Vitamins K2, and C, and a combination supplement of magnesium, calcium and zinc, to complement it). My nearly-constant, sometimes severe, respiratory infections of previous decades, are now things of the past. I also think that, yes, it does strengthen both my hair and nails.
I second this! I've been taking vit d3 regularly for 3 years now and since then hardly been sick and if I have it's really mild and I recover in 3 days on average. I remember before this I would be bed bound for 1-2 weeks!! I've recently also upped my intake to 4000 IU from 2000 IU as I have read a study that for optimal levels 5000 IU is what each person should strive for.
THIS!!! I used to feel so sick, thin hair, brain fog and dizziness, and when i got blood test my vitamin D levels were at 12!!! so so low, my doctor immediately put me on 50,000 IU of vitamin d one pill weekly(also i really recommend to go to your doctor the vitamin d they give you is a form of vitamin d way better absorbed then the ones you buy over the counter) after 2 weeks i felt so much better and after a couple of months of vitamin d, hair oiling before shampoo and scalp scrubbing my hair is less thin and growing back
Hi Kimberly, I do take D3 and K2...but I'm wondering what "combination supplement of magnesium, calcium and zinc" you take. Is it all in one? Would really appreciate the info as it's so overwhelming to know what's good anymore. Thanks so much and stay safe!!
Some of the things that helped me was to oil my scalp regularly. I used a blend of rosemary, lavender, peppermint and tea tree essential oils with jojoba oil as the carrier oil. You can use almond oil too. I mixed it with some black caster oil and black seed oil and massaged oil in my hair about 3 times a week. I use Tony Maleedy hair shampoo, which is a trichologist brand shampoo that is good for hair and scalp issues. I use a scalp exfoliating brush from tangle teezer to gently get rid of build up. I also make sure that my diet is balanced and includes vitamins D, cod liver oil, iron tablet and skin and hair tablets, and get a good night's sleep! Use a silk pillow case for sleep to minimise hair snagging. Use a brush that is gentle on your hair such as a wet brush (brand). Do not blow dry and use other heat tool on your hair often. Also, as another person here has mentioned, stinging nettle tea is good as well. Generally try to keep stress at bay- easier said than done but meditation can help to manage stress. I hope this message helps someone, I know how distressing it can be to shed a lot of hair and these things I've mentioned here have helped me to get my thick and healthy hair back.
@@diane5908 No problem, I hope it helps you. I got the shampoo from Amazon, although as I live in the U.K. I know Amazon U.K. and Amazon U.S. are slightly different but if you can get the shampoo, I would highly recommend it!
My mother's father was bald at 21. I'm 22 and nervous as hell. I do some of the things you do, but a whole lot more that you don't. I'm not a woman, but, when I think about being bald, I think about blowing my brains out. Here are my recommendations for keeping your hair. Caffeine stimulates bloodflow and regulates mood. I take a teaspoon of matcha powder in the morning. Green tea has other psychoactives (such as theanine) which syncronistically work with caffeine. As well, matcha contains antioxidants and psychoactives in three times the concentrate of ordinary green tea. Peppermint, rosemary, lavender, and clary sage essential oils prevent hair loss. Some studies have shown peppermint and rosemary (in conjunction with carrier oil) to each be as effective as Mixidol. Coconut, jojoba, and castor oil are three great carrier oils with amazing properties. Coconut oil is, by far, my favorite oil for everything. However, it can clog pores (particularly if you have oily skin/hair). Castor oil closely mimics the body's natural oils. Jojoba is one I haven't used. ThinkDirty is an app available in both the Appstore and the Playstore. While its product support is limited, it is the only app of its kind: rating the ingredients of hygiene and makeup products. A vibrating silicone scalp massager and standing on your head are two ways of getting bloodflow to the brain and scalp. silicone scalp massagers can be found, both, in non-vibrating and vibrating models. I've tried both and much prefer the vibrator. I own an inversion table and use that in leu of daily headstands. Hydrotherapy can be done every time you shower. It's important to never expose your hair or scalp to significant sources of heat. Be sure to use a longer cold cycle than hot cycle. Cold caps are used to prevent hair loss from chemotherapy, but I think an ice pack could be useful towards genetic or stress related hair loss. Get thirty minutes to one hour of exercise every single day. There are so many benefits to heartrate accelerating activity that I don't even want to try to list them. Remember to breathe. The body breathes only as much as is necessary, but this isn't enough for maintaining a healthy brain and body. Breathe long deep breaths all day long, and this doubles as mindfulness - a way of decreasing stress and promoting focus. Cold Laser Therapy is one of the most effective methods for treating hair loss. The devices have an entry level price of $3,000 and should be rated at a minimum of 500 Wm and 800 nm. The products in the video contain nothing more than LEDs and low power lasers: with no therapeutic effect. Home air purifiers are brain healthy, reduce stress, and reduce symptoms of allergies. If your home is dusty, these are essential. This has been one of the things which helped with my hair loss the most. Have a rigorously maintained sleep schedule and sleep in a cold room (50-65 degrees Fahrenheit). Sleep is one of the three major metrics of health. Doing it correctly may not increase hair growth, but doing it incorrectly will definitely worsen hair loss. Sleeping in a cool room will improve sleep quality, combat inflammation, and improve air quality. Additionally, it's the rise in temperature - not the rise of the sun - that causes organisms to wake in the morning (temperature change is felt before the sun is seen), so set your thermostat to a wake/sleep schedule, and see improved regularity of sleep. I want to make a final point about diet and I'll be done. There are lots of kinds of diets and the science has been difficult for me to collect. It seems like intermittent fasting is one of the easiest ways to improve diet. I eat one meal per day: excluding nuts, dried meats, and tea I consume throughout the day. It's a good idea to cut red meats and most carbs. Plan a health regime you'll enjoy - don't torture yourself. Looking at the other comments, I remembered a couple things I forgot. Cotton towels are fine on the skin, but can pull, and break, the hair. Opt for using a microfiber hair towel, instead. Similarly, cotton pillowcases can damage hair. Satin pillowcases are zero resistance.
How can you make long deep breath all day long? If you do that, does it mean you totally ignore the normal breathing all day long? Isn't it abnormal with your breathing?
@@mi8148 I forgot to mention it because I don't know what DHT is, and I feel kind of stupid for that, but I'll forgive myself. Now that I've looked it up, I know what it is. Caffeine, green tea, peppermint oil, rosemary oil, and coconut oil are all DHT blockers. You're right: that I didn't say they are DHT blockers, and I didn't mention any pharmaceuticals.
Stress is the key to that problem if you dont have any underlying health issues. Another thing it worked for me was washing my hair with cold water. Beautiful video!
@@niamulsarker258 Eating foods with low nutrition benefits can also be the case of thinning hairs. Especially foods that are high in protein have worked for me.

Girls, I have had the experience.... My savior was inositol ( Vitamin B8) in sashes called inofolic. They are a supplement with B8 + folic acid. I guess everyone’s state and root causes are different but it might be helpful. Good luck to everyone and hugs 🤗 And thank you for your wonderful videos !!! 🙏🌸💗
I second this, you just have to take them regularly. Inositol and folic acid helped my hair for further thinning. Everyday I also use hair tonic from Aromatica (korean brand). Keratin and moisturizing hair mask once a week.
Thank you for the tips in the video and thank you everyone in the comments with info, I am reading through all your advice! I’ve been dealing with hair loss for about 4 years now and felt so alone since none of my friends or family could relate to me…. Makes me feel a little better to know that I’m not battling this alone. Sending love and we’ll wishes to everyone reading this. 💝
This is one of the best videos I’ve seen for hair loss. It’s thorough and I appreciate the names of the products. Thank you for all the information. It’s definitely very helpful.
I had a traumatic stress event 3 months ago. Now my hair is/was SHEDDING like crazy!!! A FISTFUL came out last Sunday. I say WAS because Wednesday I brewed green tea, let it cool, and sprayed it in my roots and let it dry in. INSTANTLY 85% less shedding by Thursday.
Something that the manufacturer does not recommend is that the laser helmet be used by anyone that has had prior occurrence of any type of scalp cancer. It isn't mentioned anywhere but in the instructions after the purchase. I have had basil cell on my scalp removed before, and found out that way. It was disappointing. However, I will keep your other recommendations in mind. Thanks. 👍
Horsetail herb, rosemary herb and fenugreek seeds are good, too. Boil horsetail or rosemary or fenugreek in spring water 15 minutes then cool. Remove herb/seeds. Save herbal water in spray bottle. Leave it until next day to wash any kind of gentle shampoo.
My hair started to fall out after my first periods. When I was 16 it all accelerated. Now I am 22 have lost about 40/50% of my hair. I am finally accepting the fact that I have hair loss. I can't even look at my old photos of me with that thick long hair, I didn't do anything no hair care nothing and my hair was so great... Now I just don't want to lose more...
hi there, have you checked your iron levels and vitamin b12? Often because of heavy menstruations you don't have enough iron. I started to take supplements (need at least 3 months) and the hairloss is much less. Best to check it out :) good luck!
I must say, the work life has a huuuge impact on the hair / scalp health. I got involved in a very intensive project at my work (it is now 1 year) and like 5 months ago I started noticing that I loose so much hair… I didn’t get worried right away since I’ve always had a beautiful thick full hair… but it is now that I started getting really concerned that I’ll end up with the half of what nature gifted me with.
Hi! I love how you're raising awareness about female hair loss, all the while keeping a positive, proactive attitude :) I'm 26 years old, dealing with androgenetic alopecia since I was about 20 (as in, around the time I was diagnosed with PCOS)... Just as in your case, I can trace this condition back to relatives on my maternal side (my mum has it pretty bad, but she's never cared much about it), but, luckily, my dad's always had a full head of hair so I'm sure that helps my case a lot ahaha I've been taking Minoxidil for at least five years, but my main issue is, as you've said, managing hair loss during stressful times... All in all, I try to keep a healthy outlook about my situation even though I'm open to the idea of wearing hair toppers, were my scalp to become too visible in the future! Thank you for your input, and much love from Italy!
Thank you so much for all of this information. I've worn my hair pulled back too tightly for many years. After childbirth, I noticed the sides around the temples were looking very thin. Then I had a medical procedure that caused more hair loss. I'll be glad to give some of these ideas a try. Thank you. Yours is one of my favorite channels.
Thank you for all your tips. The thing that is encouraging about your video is you are proving there is a way to combat genetics. I recently started losing lots of hair. Over the years from several surgeries and pregnancies losses, multiple stressful situations and probably body changes I know those are the reasons. The only question I had though referring to the saw palmetto is I read it has been linked to liver damage in some cases and should not be taken over a long period of time.
Hi! I'm so glad you find it helpful! I have been using saw palmetto on and off (actually with all supplements I rotate as well). I haven't noticed any side effects on me...
You’re much younger than me but I wanted to share some potential good news. I’m 52 and started hormone replacement therapy in July for menopause. After a few months I noticed a drastic increase in my hair growth, all of it, including my eyelashes. I’m on an estrogen patch and oral progesterone. I don’t have an overall hair loss problem but had thinning around the hairline that I could camouflage with one of those powders used for temporary coverage of grays. The hair in those areas at my temples has filled back in completely and the growth is dark, not gray. I have a short cut and I’m needing haircuts more often because my hair is growing so much faster now.
Thanks, @Laura D. I’m in your situation, but had not considered hormone replacement therapy. I know that I’m eligible for it though, so I think I’ll give it a try - especially given the benefits for thinning hair. I’ll be visiting my doctor this summer for a full physical and I’ll ask for the estrogen/progesterone combo.
I don't want to do pharmaceutical hormone replacement therapy because it's related to an increased cancer risk, but I found that a combination of 10,000 units of biotin plus 1 glass of soymilk every day helped a lot to grow my hair back after I suddenly lost half my hair at the age of 60. I'm very sensitive to hormones, and the plant estrogen in soy acts to naturally replace my lost estrogen. I'm sure it isn't as effective as pharmaceutical hormone replacement, but it's pretty good. For me, the key is both biotin and soy; one alone doesn't work.
@@ebear6555 My dermatologist told me not to take biotin as it can throw off your thyroid, maybe that’s the reason your doctor told you not to take it 🤷🏿♀️
I just wanted to point out; Heated oil fries. If you decide to not air-dry your hair, I would recommend to put the oils after using the hair-dryer and perhaps even putting a heat-protector beforehand. But it is definitely better to just leave it be and air dry, and if needed, style with heat after that.
I have bad nerves, so of course I suffer from hair loss. Your video has given me some very helpful information about diet, exercise, and vitamin supplements! I've started letting my hair air dry, and only wash my hair once a week. I'm hoping that your advice will help! Thank you so much! ~Janet in Canada
hey, it's actually not healthy to wash your hair once per week! I've been doing that and was shedding so much, and after some researching, I discovered that hair follicles get clogged by oils and dirt, so your hair falls off more. I recommend washing at least twice a week! No more than 3 times

These are fantastic tips! I would add sleeping with a silk/satin night cap, avoiding processed sugar as much as humanly possible, and using a terrycloth shower cap on the days where you do not wash your hair. The terrycloth keeps most of the moisture out of your hair when showering, which could cause frizzing/breakage. Thanks so much for posting this! 💐
If you can, try to dry your hair naturally, not to use blow dryer at all. And also, try to shorten the length of your hair. Long hair weights down & it can make your hair loss more easily when combing or having knots.
Early to late 90s, I had a very stressful job and I started to lose my hair. It seemed to be everywhere but on my head; on the floor, in the sink, etc. It was awful! I do not recommend taking Saw Palmetto for hair loss, especially females, since it could be cancer triggered. Never assume that vitamins and over the counter medication, even if natural, are not harmful because they can be if taking inappropriately. I’m a pharmacist of 35 years, so I do know something about medicines.
@@75Cee sesame oil is safe for consumption as well as applying on hair. In South India it is one of the staple oils used in cooking. We also warm it slightly and apply on hair and body once a week and massage.
I've tried the linen seeds oil. You cook the seeds for 5 minutes, what's left is gooey mix that works well on your hair. For the shine I make a sting-nettle tea, cool it down and rinse the hair with it. Try, it can't hurt.
I can totally relate to this, I live in India and I have been experiencing hair loss since ages. After much research I too switched to sulfate free shampoos and conditioners which did make a difference. But I still continue to have hairfall not as bad as before though. Regular oiling helps. I boil coconut oil with fenugreek seeds, curry leaves and then apply. I have also tried mixing olive, almond and castor oil and that seems to help, but being consistent is important sometimes I just do anything for months. Also, the type of water we use makes a huge difference.
@@ArsalantheDude I started with the OGX range of shampoos which says paraben a and sls free (the same shown in Petite's video) but later I switched to Khadi/Khadi Natural shampoos which is an India make and also Sulfate and paraben free, plus it was much easy on the pocket. There is a wide range of products and I keep changing my shampoo, I use Khadi or Khadi Natural Neem, Bringraj, Aloevera etc I think the Wow range of shampoos claim they are surfactant, sulfate and paraben free, maybe you could give one of them a shot, not sure if you will get the Khadi brand there. I have had major shedding for the past 2 years and have taking dietary supplements for the past 2 months and see no relief. I am beginning to think that the culprit might be shampooing with hard water. Hoping our seasonal rains start soon and I am going to collect rain water.
It probably takes longer than two months until you take results. Also let the blood levels check by your doctor again. It's also important if you take supplements that they are high dosaged ones
I had a lot of hair loss too. I tried biotin and collagen in addition several vitamins such as D3,K2, A, magnesium, zinc, omega 3, B complex, collagen etc. but it did not work. However, since switching another brand of collagen that include not only collagen peptides but also glutathione, and vitamin C, my hair loss stopped. Thank God for that.
Chi, your videos are the best. I have recently been dealing with alot of stress at work and in my personal life which has caused me to lose a lot of hair. I never had a hair loss problem until now. My hair has been coming out in clumps and the brush is so full. My edges are thinning and receding so much. I will definitely look into these products.
Thank you for sharing! I agree that natural products help and living a healthy lifestyle. I also recommend eating yoghurt particularly, goat milk yoghurt and taking flaxseed and black seed oils.
I would love that scalp stimulator! I will look up the brush one. Anyway, my journey started 15 years ago. My stylist noticed I was losing hair... before I did. She advised I see a dermatologist. I had a biopsy is scalp and it is genetic. She said the same as video, I could do the hair replacement. I did not want surgery plus expensive. I have been using herbs which have helped with prevention of more lose and a little regrowth. I recently started taking sulfur. I too take vitamins. I no longer use chemicals in my hair at all. That helps too.
Thank you for making this video 🥺 My hair is very thin because of genetics, but many people think that it is because I'm not eating enough ot things like that. It's really frustrating because no matter how healthy i am, my hair stays the same. I love it tho, it's just people's comment that hurts 😅 Ps your hair is super pretty, love your channel 💖
I have straight/fine hair, I’m watching to get tips on making it thicker, I’ve seen a difference since using a 100% boar hair brush & mulberry silk sleep cap, I also had to cut down on my caffeine intake as I noticed more shredding
My hair started thinning in my late 20’s. I don’t handle stress well and I’m convinced it was caused by too much stress. My hair never came back and continued to get thinner. I started wearing wigs in my late 40’s and after a lot of trial and error have found some brands and styles that work for me. Body adhesive was a life changer when it came to wearing a wig. It keeps the wig in place , gives me more confidence that my wig isn’t going to slip or slide and washes off with cool water. I used to have a hair stylist that would trim my wigs to thin them out if it seemed like there was too much hair in the wig. If you can find some to trim the wig for really helps with the confidence level.
There’s a young lady on UA-cam who discusses Teflum effluvium (stress related hair loss) idk if you want to look into it but she may have some tips to help
Hi there! I don't know if you'll see this comment or if anyone has already mentioned this but I wanted to leave a few tips for you. Please don't pile all your hair on top of your head when shampooing. You are creating way more tangles that way and can easily cause more breakage and more hair loss when trying to detangle with conditioner. Just leave your hair down and gently massage the shampoo into your scalp with your fingers in a side to side motions instead of circular. It will create way less tangle. And let the shampoo drip down to your ends and just gently shampoo them that way if you want to. But never ever pile all your hair on top of your head. And when conditioning, detangle gently from the ends upward. I started doing this and much less hair falls out this way, as opposed to detangling from top to bottom.
Thank you for the recommendations! While I’m not losing my hair, I have had extremely fine, flat hair which got worse as I aged. Last year I shaved my hair and wore wigs until it grew pixie length. In the interim, my boyfriend introduced me to a Korean shampoo La Sienne. His mom sends it to him from Korea by the truck load. It’s done wonders. My hair growth as been amazing and it’s grown in thicker. Unfortunately, it’s not in the North American market. If you have the opportunity to go to Korea, get some! Also, I started using a growth serum by Vegamour, which is widely available here. Highly recommend. I’ll be investing in the laser hood recommended.
I take Biotin, vitamin D3, B complex. Marine Collegean really helped! I am trying some red light therapy tools. I am also making a tahini (sesame bssed) dressing.

Silicone isn't bad neither is sulfate. Silicone can do wonders protecting your hair from heat and can be used like glue to seal split ends and keep them from getting worse. It is important to use a sulfate shampoo every once in a while to cleanse the silicone buildup and free your hair to absorb more moisture. They're just not good every day.
@@Liteweaver301 the problem is she mentioned in the video that it IS sulfate free. Regardless of whether you think it's bad or not for your hair. That's a misinformation.
@@rm6359 silicones are not bad for the hair. in fact, they're great for conditioning and protecting against sun damage and heat damage. and sulfates are good for periodically removing buildup on the scalp which can actually cause hair loss. i recommend you watch brittcurls' video on why she stopped the curly girl method and look into "unrestricted curls." we're literally just uneducated nobodies and to think that we know more about hair care than actual scientists just because we read a few fear-mongering articles is ludicrous.
3:00 if I may, the way of doing your shampoo is a little too strong on the scalp. I used to do the same at the time when I lost a lot of hair. There is a very simple way to take the grease out while touching the scalp way less : do 2 shampoos! Sidenote : it works better with sulfate free AND silicon free shampoos (which are better for your hair anyways). Here is how I do : - Take a small amount of shampoo (your should never use more than a teaspoon/full spoon at time, depending on your hair length) and try to spread it evenly. Do a very quick rinse aka barely wet the hair. - take another small amount of shampoo and do as you did previously. You will experience that the shampoo foams/expends as if you had been massaging the hair for a while. If some areas don't do that, you can add a bit of shampoo on those. - rinse thoroughly but not for too long. 2/3 minutes depending on hair thickness should be enough. If you do more you will start damaging your hair and scalp. Let me know if this works out for you too!!!
I have a similar regime including supplements. Unfortunately I haven’t had the success I would like . I’ve experienced hair loss on and off since 15 years of age .

@@Linalina-nn1vx soak the seeds overnight and strain them out in the morning, the remaining water is what you would use for your hair, so you can do like a spritzer on the scalp, add it to your shampoo or conditioner, I have kinky curly hair which requires moisture so I spray it on my scalp and seal it with oil. for straight hair you might benefit spraying it on your scalp every few days as a pre poo
Great video! One thing though, your scalp doesn't create more oil if you wash it more often , it's a myth. Oil production is due to genetics, diet, age.... that's the only thing! 🙏❤️
Yes, I also heard it got recalled here in the US. That product has too much chemicals, like most shampoos do. I use rice shampoo and rice conditioner and find it has helped with hair fall. I also rinse my hair with rosemary tea. If anyone is interested you can just google rice shampoo. For tea, I just boil fresh rosemary for 10 min then let it cool.
I agree with you about the shampoo. I Don’t use Pantene or certain heavy shampoos. I take Biotin and I don’t use conditioner, if I really need it I use a spray or a very tiny amount of conditioner & my hair is still shiny. I try not to wash my hair unless I have to. I also do not blow dry my hair unless it’s cold and I have to. I also try not to use a flat iron unless I have to.
Hi .. you did read about the law suits against J&J ..who makes the OGX . I am quoting here what I found on it "The OGX lawsuit centers around one ingredient: DMDM hydantoin The products’ formula contains an ingredient, or combination of ingredients, that has caused Plaintiff and thousands of consumers to experience hair loss and/or scalp irritation.” I only let my hair air dry. I buy my shampoos from the health shop and am using the Alba coconut milk shampoo and conditioner and really lke them. Very nice video !
Quite surprised you don't mention diet first. As what you eat and how your body absorbs and metabolises food, creates the building blocks for healthy hair and body.
obviously hair is protein,so that is something to consider. Since eating lots of egg and less sugar and grains my hair falling has basically stopped. where before i would have hands full coming out in the shower etc. Everybody is different but diet is a key factor IMHO.
Dear Chi, thanks for this video. I sufrering of hair loss. It started years ago and terribly intensifiying in the last months. I've hypothyroidism problem; so insomnia, and hair loss are some of the many issues of this health condition. I'd tried countless staff with not good results. Also, I can't use some of the foods, and products that wil "help" with hair loss because interfere with the effects of hypothyroidism's medications. Thanks VERY much for sharing your experience and how you are dealing with in this video. Bleassings⚘

have you seen a dermatologist for female baldness? because what you use as treatment is the coadjuvant, not the treatment itself. I have it and my doctor recommended me minoxidil + finasteride, plus everything you use, but as optional
Thank you for posting this:) It’s a mystery .. I know hair colouring with certain dyes kills hair follicles. What to do- to restore hair color - next video! I had not heard about sesame powder- I’m going to try it:) I think certain green s are also protective - here they say leeks ( like onion family) are good for strengthening hair shaft. I love the corner vanity wash basin - yesterday I was looking at mine thinking I really want to put it in the corner it’s taking too much room in my tiny bathroom. Now I see how it might look🙂
My sister is 55 yrs old and no sign of gray hair..she never dyed her hair and only permed it one time in her life! While I have thinning hair and gray started when I was 52..I was dyed my hair so many times!
Types I and III hydrolyzed powder, usually beef, sometimes marine (fish). I just mix one scoop a day with water and drink it. Some of them taste pretty bad! Look at the reviews online if you can. There’s also gummies which I haven’t tried yet, but might also help. I never stick to one brand and tend to just get what’s on sale, but try to look for organic. I don’t think there’s a lot of data yet, but I do notice my hair is thicker, and my joints hurt less. Make sure you get enough Vitamin C to help your body make collagen and you can also look into collagen rich foods such as bone broth/making sure you’re eating adequate protein.
Same I m also facing this problem even I can't effort treatment of doctors everytime they just give me med oil serum and all but nothing work on my hair
Eat porridge for breakfast gives you strong healthy hair and nails and skin because oats are a really powerfood. It is very good for the Nerv system and gives energy. My dauthers have beautiful long hair and even she has a very stressful life this is a very good way to thicken your hair.
Dear Chi, I never would have guessed that you have thinning hair, you’re doing a great job. Mine is starting to thin, at age 60. A few years ago I had really alarming hair loss. I analyzed my diet and found that I was only getting about 25% of the protein I need. So, I added high-quality proteins like some meat, fish and eggs and now, about a year later, the excessive hair loss is completely gone. I try to be extra gentle during the rough, wet comb out after shampooing, using both an in-shower conditioner and a spray detangler. I haven’t finished your video yet, but I’m curious if you or the community have experience with taking those special hair vitamins? They are expensive, so before I buy, I’d love to know if they help.
@Kimberly Perrotis. The “hair, skin, and nails” gummies by Nature’s Bounty that she mentions in this video have definitely helped with my thinning hair - particularly along the hairline around my face: I can definitely see the new hair growing there for the past two years that I’ve been on the vitamins. It’s not a quick fix, but I saw improvements within about two months.
Yes, I think everyone has different reasons for hair loss, so the treatment does need to be tackled in various ways and diet is extremely important too.
This is what has worked for me: Comb out tangles with a wide tooth comb. Never use a brush. Consider how you wash your finest cashmere sweater. You soak it and handle it gently! Use the mildest shampoo you can get and only lukewarm water on your hair. Do not rub the way they do on advertisements. Just coat the hair gently, after diluting the shampoo in your hands. I also have long hair, and I leave it hanging down, rather than piling it up, while washing it. Rinse by running water through it. No rubbing. No dryer! Not even if you have to go out in a blizzard! The number #1 thing that stopped my hair loss was when I moved from an arid place to a very humid one.
@@Radha_Krishn_123 Then I must must have a different kind of hair loss problem. Maybe a different body chemistry. I don't know about the science of it. Just noticed the difference when I moved to this humid climate.
I am at loss a the amount of products you use 😲. Don't use too much that's not good either. I have great hair but at some point noticed I lost quite a lot of hair daily. I started to take biotin and that made the difference, if I lose about 10 hairs a day it's a lot. I wash it with natural shampoo (unless we have yucca leaves or root) once every 7-10 days. I never use conditioner and let it air dry. No problems since.

Sending healing prayers to all women that are dealing with this❤️
I genuinely hope you can heal from this ❤️ you're not alone!

It il because of hormones please watch Dr berg
@@sourourtrabelsi-h7u i agree… hormones are a big part of hair loss. The body is so complexed.

Thank you for sharing this, beautiful!
Wow, great idea. I never tried wig but im so willing to give it a try

Thank you for sharing... i really wanted to see what someone else with hair loss did to combat it. I cry every time i have a wash day

Thanks for this!
Thank u for sharing
Thanks for sharing!
@Plumbalina86 Thank you for the great tips! Where did you get the Tony Maleedy shampoo if you don't mind my asking?

Wow the most helpful comment i have ever read!! Thank you for your words! I have saved your comment! ❤️❤️
Since you're a guy, you'd need some sort of DHT blockers or it's all pretty pointless
Thank you

Something that the manufacturer does not recommend is that the laser helmet be used by anyone that has had prior occurrence of any type of scalp cancer. Hi! I love how you're raising awareness about female hair loss, all the while keeping a positive, proactive attitude :)
I'm 26 years old, dealing with androgenetic alopecia since I was about 20 (as in, around the time I was diagnosed with PCOS)... Just as in your case, I can trace this condition back to relatives on my maternal side (my mum has it pretty bad, but she's never cared much about it), but, luckily, my dad's always had a full head of hair so I'm sure that helps my case a lot ahaha
I've been taking Minoxidil for at least five years, but my main issue is, as you've said, managing hair loss during stressful times...
Wow that’s wonderful news Laura! Thanks for sharing with us!
Hi. How does the hormone replacement therapy work?
Thank you so much!

hey, it's actually not healthy to wash your hair once per week!

Thank you for your tip, Sabrina!
Early to late 90s, I had a very stressful job and I started to lose my hair. It seemed to be everywhere but on my head; on the floor, in the sink, etc. It was awful! Whatever you need to do to relieve stress, do it! Because stress is so destructive physically, mentally, emotionally. Chi, thank you for sharing your story and the products you use to minimize hair loss. We so appreciate all you do for your YT community!♥️😘
So glad you find it helpful! And can't agree more about relieving stress!
Thank you for reminding us this health before anything🙏🏼
Warmed Grape oil massaged into the scalp 15 mins before shampooing and conditioner I found super helpful for recovery.
Great tip!
I love you so much, we are so much alike ! Your compassion to share all of your information with other woman, all of your beauty tips and things that help us feel better in a naturally good way ( not a prideful way), have helped so many of us !
I wish you abundant health & happiness and a Beautiful Life, as you help us as we grow older, and stay as beautiful as you are! 🎉❤️🌸🥰‼️
Thank you so much, Antonia!
This is not true
not true. liar. research shows otherwise. your probably not even a pharmacist, if you are what do you know about herbal medicine
@ U Tube- citing some studies would be helpful
How do you feel about Sting Nettle Root for women? It used for similar purposes as Saw Palmetto.
Can you explain
I've always had thin hair, thank you for these tips!
Thank you so much for sharing. I’m dealing with hair loss and it’s really scary
Hi Edina- I understand how you feel... you CAN make it better, so don't be scared!
I have to say: the Moroccan Oil brand HAS THE BEST SMELL EVER it’s the nicest smell in the world no doubt
Pure, fresh (!!) celery juice on an empty stomach does help with hair growth. I’ve seen it personally.
Drinking it?
@@iarshintasudjana4382 I mean, they did say juice
@@iarshintasudjana4382 yes. Juice it everyday
I drank everyday for more than 6 months for health reason but it didnt help with hair loss
Sesame gives a lot of heat to body ... if you use sesame oil for hair early on prevents graying and hair loss . Very common among south indians
Thanks for sharing.
Do you mean apply sesame oil directly to your scalp?
I have the same question as Michelle. Sesame oil on scalp or hair or both or should you eat it?
@@FunkyPhish yes
Thanks for sharing Tube rose!
Can you suggest sulfate free shampoos in india or Saudi Arabia please
All the best with hair care 👍

@@tuberose4131 hello tube rose can you please tell if Fenugreek oil help to regrow hair ? What is the solution for regrowth? I previously took doc help amd applied minoxidil but it didn't suite me caused excessive facial hair. So what's the cure?
Thanks for the tips!
What brand
Hi Wendy Hia what brand of shampoo do you use 👍
I tried using onion hair oil, onion hair shampoo... sometimes I applied onion paste on my scalp. It helps like a lot.
Good to know!
Thank you for posting on this topic. Good diet, exercise, getting enough sleep and lowering stress is also good for preventing wrinkles and aging
using rosemary oil helped me ⚡
Chi, your videos are the best. I have recently been dealing with alot of stress at work and in my personal life which has caused me to lose a lot of hair. I never had a hair loss problem until now. My hair has been coming out in clumps and the brush is so full. My edges are thinning and receding so much. I will definitely look into these products.
Take Gotu Kola to avoid stress and anxiety which affects your hair growth.
Thank you for sharing! I agree that natural products help and living a healthy lifestyle. I also recommend eating yoghurt particularly, goat milk yoghurt and taking flaxseed and black seed oils.
Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for sharing, Garlic Girl!
Thanks for sharing!!
Thanks for sharing, Mitchell!
There’s a young lady on UA-cam who discusses Teflum effluvium (stress related hair loss) idk if you want to look into it but she may have some tips to help
An important point of the video not to miss: most conditioners stick to whatever they’re applied. I lost 70% of my hair because of conditioners.
What do you mean they stick to whatever they are applied? What’s wrong with conditioners? How did you go around the problem?
@@braziliannut666 Good question
Same here. I realized whenever I used conditioner, it double the loss even just applied to the end of my hair. Now i never use it. I'd rather use oil.
Same.. Not all conditioners are good, too greasy can cause more hair loss. I prefer oil after wash and some good less greasy natural conditioner.
But if I don't use conditioner, my hair is so frizzy it's literally grass
Thanks for your tip, Galina!
Thanks for sharing, Carina!
Is there a link to how the Korean shampoo looks like?
I tried looking up the shampoo from the Korea and nothing comes up with that name?
Those OGX shampoos were just found to cause hair loss!
I take Biotin, vitamin D3, B complex. Marine Collegean really helped! I am trying some red light therapy tools. I am also making a tahini (sesame bssed) dressing.
Thanks for sharing Jayne!
Rosemary is pretty great too
Does the red light therapy help?
@@rachelkh20 a little bit. I have to admit Ihave not been consistent do to travel and work. I have since been taking a great supplement that is even better but do not want too promote on someone else channel. I swear the results are great (not trying to sell; no affiliate).
Don't the ogx shampoo and conditioner contain sulfate? If I remember correctly, they're definitely not sulfate free
I think it contain silicone and other bad chemicals I don’t prefer using it
Silicone isn't bad neither is sulfate. Silicone can do wonders protecting your hair from heat and can be used like glue to seal split ends and keep them from getting worse. It is important to use a sulfate shampoo every once in a while to cleanse the silicone buildup and free your hair to absorb more moisture. They're just not good every day.
@@Liteweaver301 actually both silicone and sulfate are really bad for your hair you can read about silicone
Here is how I do :
- Take a small amount of shampoo (your should never use more than a teaspoon/full spoon at time, depending on your hair length) and try to spread it evenly.
Amazing tips- thank you so much for sharing! I'll definitely try it out!
@@PetiteDressing you're welcome! I hope it helps!! I really appreciate your tips on beauty and dressing up

I don’t think you watch the video she literally used two shampoos.
I have a similar regime including supplements. Unfortunately I haven’t had the success I would like . I’ve experienced hair loss on and off since 15 years of age .
First have a blood test to see what are you deficient in.
Maybe you have androgenetic alopecia like me, if you have it it is more difficult to get healthy hair, cause its about hormons and stuff, so it doesnt matter what shampoos or products you use, cause its a problem from the inside…
@@baby-kr8dk done it all . Haha maybe not all all but yes my diet is really good and also been physicians and dermatologists as well. At this point just trying to make peace with it .
@@luarusif.s1858 it sucks because it’s a combo of genetics and hormones. I have taken hair vitamins to combat nutrition aspect saw palmetto for helping DHT blocking , topical stuff (everything from fish oil , cayenne , fenugreek etc not all at once because I know it can stress the hair too so done cycles ) head massages, recently started rosemary (heard it’s a natural minoxidil since I’ve been avoiding the chemical one ) and doing little bit of micro needling. I understand that root cause might be something out of my control or at least as of now , but hoping I can prevent it and strengthen what I do have :/ overall the health of my hair has improved and goes up and down . Ogx is actually not the best brand to use. Of course it’s totally fine when it works for your hair but especially with thin hair I would rather switch to a more natural brand ☺️🌸
I came to say the same thing. Went right to the ingredient list.
So glad you shared your story. I have been suffering for years trying to find something that really works especially for women, like me.. thank you so much.. 🤗

Wow your hair looks good and hard to believe you have hair loss but this is so much work to keep your hair. Wish there were less steps, products, and things to invest to prevent hair loss
Incredible job! I’d also suggest using fenugreek, great for the scalp.
Great suggestion!
How?
@@Linalina-nn1vx fenugreek oil is like a dht blocker and stops hair loss. But the oil and put on your scalp overnight or whoever. Or buy the seeds and make a water spray. It changed my like. My hair was thinning like crazy. Now it’s so much thicker!! Fenugreek and biotin help a lot
@@lsimon343 thank you! But how do I make a water spray? I bought the seeds for making food but I don’t really know how to use them otherwise
The ogx shampoo brand got recalled. Terrible for your hair. Just thought I'd let u know. It actually causes hair loss ❤
Really?! I just recently brought one! Can you suggest me some good shampoo?
I highly doubt though. It’s everywhere in Singapore & we have very very strict regulations
@@Psychetravels US formula might not be the same as other countries .
It does have an ingredient that causes hair loss it’s called DMDM
You should know your using Ogx shampoo with DMDM that turns into formaldehyde when it comes into contact with water.

I am quoting here what I found on it "The OGX lawsuit centers around one ingredient: DMDM hydantoin
The products’ formula contains an ingredient, or combination of ingredients, that has caused Plaintiff and thousands of consumers to experience hair loss and/or scalp irritation.” I only let my hair air dry.

According to the doctors specialist on hair it's ok to wash your hair or every other day it's not healthy for your hair not to wash it often

I notice a difference with taking collagen powders, some of them taste bad though
Can you pl tell which collagen powder u had used ?
I took finasteride to fight hair loss and it works. Plus minoxidil tonic.
Also, Chi, I wouldn’t pile up my hair while shampooing, anything that increases tangling increases breakage, just let it hang naturally.🙂
This is what has worked for me:
Comb out tangles with a wide tooth comb.

But how your hair fall isn't happening in humid place? I mean my hair fell like crazy during monsoons
