    Question for OP. I just installed the failex trigger and after doing so was not able to install the slide. Took slide off, removed barrel and RSA and tried again still was not able to put slide on. It was only after jiggling was I finally able to install slide. Works fine now.
    As for trigger lb it is 4.5lb to 5lb depends on where you measure from. Also not as smooth as my overwatch precision flat trigger on my other Glock but that has 1000 rounds through it

    What’s up brother
    I polished my G45 smoothed it out beautifully. Don’t mind the pull weight the little bit of creep through wall. pre travel is a lil long. Reset is long and very soft not so tactile
    I don’t mind the curved trigger I shoot with the tip of my finger. So the shoe definitely annoys me. Would this be a good choice to improve pre travel and reset. Or what else would you recommend

    I recently put an Apex trigger on my G45 and I have been happy with it. I did the one with the connector and it says it takes about a pound off the stock trigger. At $130, compared to $160 for the Overwatch, I wonder what I would get for thar extra $30. Good vid, thanks.

      The Apex is pretty good - the OP isn't markedly better - just different.

    I just bought one of these triggers, only I got the entire DIY drop in KIT. I was very happy when I first installed it because it had taken my trigger pull down from almost 6 pounds, to almost 5 pounds. That same afternoon I dry fired it with snap caps for a couple of hours while I watched TV, and I started to notice that it was feeling harder to pull. I measured the trigger pull again and in the couple of hours I had spent dry firing it while I watched TV, it had went from almost 5 lbs to almost 8 lbs. I have no explanation as to how that could happen. I wish I had never bought it.

      the connector probably needs to be tuned - it's probably angled too far away from the housing - reverse the connector in the slot so it hangs off the housing - and press down on it 3 times or so, then flip it back around - you should be able to put about a sheet of paper between the connector arm and the housing - the connector should come off at an angle.

    • @TheHumbleMarksman
      @TheHumbleMarksman  4 роки тому +1

      This can happen on most connectors - I've probably adjusted most of the ones I've tried.

      Some prefer flat style for speed but outside of a match pistol or range gun, I'd go with the OP Falx curve trigger.

    So do you still prefer the Pyramid trigger for competitions?

    • @TheHumbleMarksman
      @TheHumbleMarksman  5 років тому +1

      The pyramid trigger is more refined - but takes more patience to tune and get it set up optimally. The TIN coating is smoother and creates a more ball-bearing like smoothness. I have a new pyramid flat trigger I really want to try out but I haven't been able to set aside the time to work through the tuning of it - I put it in my gun only to confirm that it needs tuning. That said - the OP drops straight in - it's still pretty good. The trigger shoes are wildly different - wide flat curved vs. narrow flat curved. If you have to have the best then the TIN coating on the pyramid is better. If you just want to drop something in and run with better ergos on your trigger - the OP is pretty strong.

      @@TheHumbleMarksmancool, thanks for the review. I just got the pyramid flat trigger myself also. Installed it but haven’t had the chance to go shoot. It’s so different from the other after market triggers that I’ve used. The pre travel and the reset actually felt pretty good out of the box.

    I have the FALX and TAC triggers. The curved trigger has some fitting issues with my glock 19 gen 4. I have 2 different curved triggers from overwatch. Both are the same trigger just different colors. Both of the curved trigger safety's catch on the frame when you pull the trigger. I had to file down the back of the trigger saftey on both of the curved triggers. The flat trigger fits just right with no rubbing at all. Wonder if anyone has the same issue with the curved triggers.

      @@TheHumbleMarksman Believe it or not it was because I wanted the pre-travel back. None of my pistols are strictly range toys, I carry them as well. I know the Overwatch triggers are indeed drop safe but I prefer to have the entire cruciform resting on the shelf. My triggers are already pretty light so I want some breathing room between initial contact and the break. My gen 5's have already worked themselves down to under 4 lbs due to tons of rounds and thorough polishing and stone work in key areas, mainly the sear face of the cruciform and striker lug. The only non OEM component in my gen 5 triggers is the Vickers shoe which does not remove any pre-travel and is actually very comfortable. My next move is to try the black ice/yikes connectors to remove the wall. Even with highly polished OEM minus connectors there is still a wall. The end goal is a smooth pull until it breaks with no staging for the first shot. Sorry for the long winded response but if you want 2 more falx and 2 FDE tac triggers you can have mine for free.

    I have to agree the trigger rich is shorter and it works for me better then Glock EOM trigger. Pricewise? I am not really sure I can justify spending $ 165 for this trigger. Instead, I ordered PolyDat flat trigger for my Glock 17 gen 5 MOS; unfortunately, Gen5 PolyDATs were utterly destroyed and it is not clear when it will be available to customers. Until well into 2020....
