If the question ( like which food ending in "berry" ) has only 2 or 3 total answers, the likelihood of the 1st answer being ~50 is much more likely. In this episode I would be surprised if the #1 answer was not 6+ points ahead of her answer as I would have said blueberry myself and not in a million years thought blackberry, yet blackberry was almost enough to reach 200. It may be that the questions asked have too many possible answers and that brings the highest 2 answers down to

I might also add that there has been a time where the second person got 0 points.
The amazing thing is the second person on the first answer covered the difference. Usually when the first person does so well the second person struggles to get points because the first answer is the obvious one. She just nailed it.
I don’t think so, Ayesha curry once had 4 number 1 answers and she was at 194 points. Steph curry had answered the correct last #1 answer she was missing and it was just a one point different, therefore I think the max is 195 for the first round

It can still be done but 2 things have to be in play for it to happen: 1. The first player gets all #1 answers (which has been done) 2. At least 1, maybe 2 of those answers are absolute slam dunk #1 answers (45 points or more) You've had situations where 1 or 2 have been in play, but the stars haven't aligned for both to happen in 1 run on Fast Money

I have been praying for everyone affected by that horrific tragedy yesterday. So many lives lost, and of course the majority being young lives at that. Truly heartbreaking.
There is an episode on UA-cam from when Ray Combs was the host. The first person got the 200 points, so Ray pranked the second person by asking stupid, nonsensical questions. It was hilarious.
Sometimes 200 points are available on the left hand side, sometimes not. If you watch Fast Money and keep track of the points and whether or not the answers on the left or right side are number one answers, sometimes you can tell if 200 points could have been had on the left side but if the number one answers for one or more questions nevertheless only score in the 20s or 30s, it's going to be hard to get to 200. I don't think the producers would put up a question set where 200 points can't be had no matter what and it wouldn't surprise me if they don't have some algorithm to get the maximum number of available points within a certain range over 200.

It's hard to go second when you know you have to deal with the buzzer and have two answers for most everything. Not saying six points is hard but it can hard to get 40-50 in that scenario. Good for both of them.
