I got a 2000 Trooper for about 7yrs, always make sure you check the engine oil they burn oil a lot. I usually add about 2 quarts every 3-4 weeks depends on your driving also. Other than that its been good for me no major issues. I love it aside from also being a gas guzzler
I'm pretty jealous. I used to have friends that were down for fun adventures like this, time passed needless to say everyone's married with kids or to busy hexing my ass in some way to ever make it a reality. 😂 Was kind of nice to see it nonetheless. Solid buy with the trooper. I was just seeing an older one for sale pretty cheap and searching for engine swaps found this.
Love adventures like this! I am about to do the same thing in a bit with a 94 trooper, what a small world! I was curious to know what the process was with getting plates on it. Does copart give you plates or did you get them from Texas or Colorado?
Nothing from Copart, just the Title and a Bill of Sale to use when registering at the DMV! Really the same as buying any care elsewhere thru a private sale Awesome you're doing the same thing, how exciting! Wish you all the best in your journey!
@@prueba-qv3ymNo lockers stock. Could have LSD in the rear if this one has that option. Great lil trucks. They have a torque on demand system. 4wd button and Hi-Lo transfer case. I installed manual hubs on mine instead of having them locked all the time in the front.
Yeah i plan on making a dedicated video on that in the future. Basically there is a transfer case with 4HI and 4LO positions. You keep it 4HI majority of the time, it operates as just RWD unless you hit the Auto 4WD button, in which case, it will send power to the front wheels when the rears slip. Pretty nifty system. Our truck also got spec'd with an LSD in the rear which is nice!
i have 2001 , notice those Isuzu troopers sound like a diesel. They are really strong even i dont have the 4x4 goes on hills like nothing
