I got my plant yesterday. No instructions. It was potted like you’re berries. What is the material they are potted in? To me it looks like rice hulls or wheat hulls. When I plant my elderberry should I leave it in this material? Or should I dump it off. It doesn’t look like it’s been in it for long, like only for transport? I don’t want to mess this up as this is the second Goldbeere I’ve ordered. The first one was puny and died. Any advice?
Those are rice hulls and you can dump them or bury them, it won't hurt anything. We use them to conserve water and prevent evaporation. The roots on elderberry plants are deceptively fragile and they need more water than you'd think. Avoid the urge to fertilize and let the roots establish before trying to stimulate top growth.
I ordered some bare root fruit trees and was very impressed with the care they took in packaging the trees. I love Raintree!❤️
Oh please show us how you build your trellis! There are so many options.
I usually soak my bareroot trees for an hour or two to have them really hydrated. Then I plant them in the prepared hole. Nice trees though.
I really enjoy your videos
Laura is really good presenter and covered everything I needed to know. (BTW, she sounds JUST like Denise Austin. Spooky.)
Do the one gallon persimmon trees come in plastic pots or biodegradable pots?

Nice
I could have used this information a couple of weeks ago. Hopefully I did an okay job. Time will tell.
Watching you handle that knife like a baton is unsettling.
LOL - it's a gardening spade with a serrated edge. No plants or humans were injured in the making of this film.
