  • Making paper beads is so fun now to be able to put a twist to it by using all those beautiful napkins that have been hanging around or that you have gotten in happy mail. Hope you give this a try please let me know how yours come out.....

    Wow! Never heard of using baby wipes. I’d love to see how that turns out. I always have baby wipes around. No babies, (I’m 61), but I use them for wiping up paints as I craft. Or glue or alcohol inks. Just toss them in the trash. It’s amazing how you can turn trash into treasures, isn’t it? I love doing that & I’ll be looking forward to a video if you decide to make one. Good luck, Nancy & thanks so much for the time & effort you put into your videos & replying to my comments.

    I love this idea of using colorful napkins to make the paper beads instead of painting papers. Thank you for the tutorial, Nancy. ❤️🌹

    I am so glad I saw your video. I was going to try using napkins but I was going to use regular glue, but that glue stuck makes perfect sense and less mess.Thank you for your time and tip.

    You don't have to go through all of that. Make a white bead the take a little piece of napkin and glue it to the bead. One nakin can make you a lot of napkins. Have fun dear.❗🌹🙏

      I am going to try and make some beads with baby wipes that have been used to mop up paint. I am going to do the technic as the napkin kind. If they work out I will be doing a video on them.

    I really like the idea of using napkins. I do have a question though. The glue applicator with the thin needle type nose, please tell me how I can find it. I need that type of glue for so many of my paper crafts. I have not seen it anywhere like you have. A syringe with the tiny tip. Please respond and let me know how to get it. This is a great video!

    • @NancyVastine
      @NancyVastine  6 років тому +1

      I had those needles because I bought some ink for my printer but the ink didn't work so I thought I would try glue in it but that doesn't work either because the glue clogs up in the needle. I don't even remember where I even put that needle. I am sorry I couldn't help you. The ink system was called Continuous ink for the printer

    Do you glaze these, Nancy? New subscriber from the Great State of Oklahoma!

    • @NancyVastine
      @NancyVastine  6 років тому +1

      yes you do. you always want to put some kind of finish on them to harden them up. I usually use utee which is ultra thick embossing enamel I think there is a video of me showing how I do that. when you use the utee you don't have to wait until they dry. sometimes I use triple thick varnish but you will have to coat then turn and coat. I will try to find the link where I am embossing them ua-cam.com/video/EwI3jYdSxwY/v-deo.html

    I have a question: Is the bead roller the same tool as the one used for quilling? If not, I need to know what to look for because I'd rather have the bead roller. Thank you.

    • @NancyVastine
      @NancyVastine  4 роки тому +1

      As from what I know about quilling roller I use to quill the roller is straight the bead roller has slits in them to slide the bead paper into. However if you get good enough rolling paper beads I have rolled them on a squire but a quilling roller is too short and too tiny around unless you are going to make real little beads. I hope my explantion has helped you if not I will try again

    • @mawmawvee
      @mawmawvee 4 роки тому

      I have never quilled, but did get a quilling set many years ago. I still have it. I thought the spike had a slit in it too, but it's been so long, I can't really say anymore. I will go online and look up beading rollers and see what happens and won't even bother to look up quilling stuff, thanks to you. :D Thanks for taking the time to answer my question. It did help.

    Do you have to use a glue stick

    • @NancyVastine
      @NancyVastine  6 років тому +1

      The reason I use a glue stick is because I don't want the napkin to wrinkle. Also when you use a wet glue you can tear it easier. I just find that the glue stick is much easier when doing this and then you don't have to wait for the glue to dry to cut them and roll them into beads. I hope this helps TFW

    Have you ever fused the napkin to the paper with an iron and a piece of plastic wrap . Just place plastic wrap between napkin and paper an iron it.

    • @NancyVastine
      @NancyVastine  5 років тому +1

      no I have not because me and plastic wrap do not get along and the plastic wrap always wins and ends up in a ball of mess. this way is much easier.

    why waste so much of the napkin

    • @NancyVastine
      @NancyVastine  2 роки тому

      I am not sure what you mean you have to pull the backing off to glue it if you don't it will come apart after you glue it. the paper was too big for this napkin so I put a piece of another one to fill the page. nothing in the crafting world goes to waste what ever was cut off can be used in another project and the white backing can be used to stamp on or if you need you can blow your nose on it. TFW.

      Learn to spell before you start criticizing. Bored! Board is a piece of wood or a chalk ‘board.’ Don’t be ugly. Don’t watch next time.

      I don't know how you can make such a comment as you don't have any content on your channel. Just move on and watch the videos that are sped up and with music if you are here not to learn anything and just leave rude comments get some content on your channel so I can comment on how you work....
