Imagine what it would be like if it was properly insulated. I'm an industrial insulator with 20+ years experience in power plant work. Keep up the great work!
I used to build scaffold for you guys
I have questions. . .
This reminds me of the Doble boiler design. Great video
Yeah
By adding one cap full of muriatic daily to the make up water, will greatly reduce any build up of scale
Amazing such a simple way to heat water
that works really well, similar design to a clayton steam generator
Connect it to a micro turbine and generate electricity!
Combustion engines aren't 2/3 efficient. More like 1/3. Even then you need to run it on expensive fuel.
So does an engine, because thermodynamics. Power plants typically burn coals to generate steam which in turn drives what is known as a steam turbine, which in turn generate electricity. Some even run on combined cycle, using natural gas for the main turbine and residual heat to produce steam for a secondary steam turbine. Did you honestly think power plants run on gasoline and diesel?
Schizophrenia
@Jupiter-rs4zl It was a reply to another person who deleted his comments.
And Micro Condenser too😊
Add some heat insulating outside. Nice one.
ok, you vape. we get it.
very cool design. inspiring.
Well Done. All for efforts, will pay off soon
Thankyou for this video idea i know what im doing this month
Excelente. Es recomendable aislar la zona lateral con lana de roca para minimizar las pérdidas de calor a los alrededores.
Thanks
Thank you very much!
As a engineer u caught my attention. I like this test performance..It's an ideal for more possibilities that can improve on your device . My thoughts are if u add another coil coming out of the discharge end and heat it up ,, u may as a results ,,a mini high pressure system ,,add a small turbine generator. Any way good luck and good job.
Skookum choocher.
You should put a plate of top to force the heat to go through the gaps between the pipes. I work for a company that produces extremely efficient condensing boilers. A casing around the whole thing also wouldn't hurt
Thanks for the input .
The device will be insulated inside a steal framed box when complete .
I have seen something about condensing boilers on a repair video . is the idea to only expose the heat exchange to tap water wile using a closed loop of clean water ? it was a repair video and they said nothing about how they work , he was just changing the heat exchange and i thought wow wonder whats up with that , hence my hunch .
@@NOBOX7 yeah kinda. But the biggest advantage against regular boilers is that the exhaust is cooled down to room temperature, condensing the steam produced by the combustion process. Alot of energy is stored in this steam. They achieve this by winding the tubing extremely tight, there's only a .3mm gap between them. This forces the exhaust from the combustion/heating chamber to give off all it's heat
Backyard Arsenal put the coldest water to the coldest part. This allows you to take the air down to near the temp of the water input.
Amazing
Very interesting. Just found your channel and subscribed.
U can use that as a primary coil plunged in tank to heat water tank.
you could open a drive through steam clean with that
*DM me* I'm an engineer and I see a few ways you can make BIG improvements in efficiency. I do NOT know what your end goal usage is but this should be putting out superheated steam and not clouds of water vapor with a burner like that.
Please contact me I need help designing a steam boiler
@@justinwhitlow8618 Tell me your use for the boiler and what you have so far.
It's a 25cc 2 stroke engine off a weedeater. I've converted it to run off steam and have had it running great. Looking to run 65 to 120 psi. I'm planning to build a steam powered mini chopper and need the smallest setup possible that will have enough output to run it
@@dieselscience I am not married to any particular fuel source. I'm open to anything.
@@justinwhitlow8618 Both of those are a tough order. Anything you add will be more weight. The weed eater is easier to deal with. BOTH of them would need have _some_ recondensation in the cylinder but not too much, just enough that drops come out the exhaust. Ideally, scrap the pistons and go with turbines. There are sources on the web for temp vs. pressure. Look for "Steam quality tables."
Hello friend, very good work, I'll give you an idea of mine... put the coil in a metal container that serves as a crucible, then melt lead and pour it with the coil, and when you want steam... keep the lead molten with the coil inside....the results are incredible, if you get to do it and upload a video please let me know.
Greetings from Spain
Best for my steam car design.
You're a freaking' genius!
Thanks for the encouragement , its a gift from God , not works of my own power , i give the Glory to Christ my creator .

Agreed. He is taking actions and making reality his ideas
You super i from Uzbekistan!
Superheated steam is invisible.
Impressive overall.
How are you regulating water flow to match the steam generation. I assume that it will at some point be under pressure as opposed to free flow.
Good job bro !!! It could be used to desalinate water and solve the drinking water problems all around the world !!! The big problem would be how to clean the tube after salt solidification inside of it !!! But it´s just a matter of giving it a little of thinking !!!
Thank you so much for this wonderfull idea !!!
God blesses you !!!
So could I use this to clean my car floor mats?
Hii inafanya kazi vizuri sana

This video answers so many questions that I wasn't sure how to ask. One question, is a pump necessary for the water? Or could the water be fed by say, an elevated tank?
Pressure gauge is reading 175psi or 12 bar. So the tank would have to be at least 120 metres high!
Are the coil pipes made of aluminium or steel?
If 250 kg milk pan how much steam pressure require
Please inform me thanks you
Длина трубы сколько метров хорошая техника молодец спасибо за информацию
What's the temperature of the heater / boiler?
Imagine this in -40°!!!
You could make a cloud generator!
It can already put out enough steam to make fog at 80 Fahrenheit (whatever that is in Celsius idk, can't remember)
-20°C would be epic too, being Canadian, it gets really cold and this would be awesome lol
27°C
How to get the firedepartment on your ass 101
This good idea
Very cool. What's the rating on the water pump? Would it still work pumping from a tank instead of a pressurized plumbing system? Thanks
yes with gravity
Good
Would like to see you team up with someone working on a Tesla turbine generator. Maybe even power it with wood gas to make an off grid power generator.
You need to insulate the coil with Ceramic Wool (it good up to 1400 Degrees) and put a metal liner around the tubing. The temperature will increase and You can cut down on your fuel. If you plan to use it as a Hot Water Boiler it will be Great. It would be best if it is a Closed Loop Boiler. Your Water Chemistry is Very important. The Water Chemistry will Stop contaminants and the rotting of your tubing and the Closed Loop means once the Chemistry is right you won't have to keep adding chemicals. The Ceramic Wool is best for insulating the tubing. You can add Heat Exchanger to the loop to heat different Rooms.
very insightful, thanks for this comment
how do you get the water chemistry right?? ph is easy but metals and contaminants and corrosive influence ...not so much?
@@danf4447 according to the Type of Metal You are Using being Stainless Steel or Carbon Steel, Monel or Other Metal the Water Chemistry stops the erosion of the Metal Tubing. Chemistry is determined by the tubing being used. Correcting the Water Chemistry adds life to the tubing and stops the erosion of the metal. Believe it or not water has materials in it that eroded the walls of the tubing. You will need chemistry engineering to set the chemicals you need to correct the water for the Boiler.
@@waymonblevins6939 cool. yeah i know superheated steam is very corrosive as is regular water under certain conditions
@@danf4447 I am a Old Boilermaker by Trade. With Superheated Steam is at 1200 F Degrees and @ 2500 psi, that Steam can cut many Boiler Tubes when a Boiler Tube Ruptures. That ruptured tube can cut 10 to 15 steel tubes by that one ruptured tube. These are 2'' o.d. tubes with . 375 wall thickness. So Super Heated Steam is very Dangerous. It will cut you like a knife. That is why water chemistry is very IMPORTANT on these Closed Loop Boilers. The Water in these Boilers are De- mineralized meaning No Minerals at all. Best wishes.
I want this for my car exhaust for aesthetic smoke
Do you know if I would work for steaming craps
How to feed the water continous?... It will dry
Can it melt driveway snow??
Steam pressure, temperature, flow rate?
I know you said you cab achieve 200 gph but I need a machine that can boil 3.5-4.5 " barrels " of water mer minute. I achieved this with jet engine but co2 levels were too high.. can you build something to boil 200 + gallons per minute ?
Woooow😲
After the generator discharge it up like a distillery crook. Collect all your distilled water so you wont have to worry about buildup
how much fuel and water does it use per hour?
Your ideas always move my nerves
And that was back in the late 70s
Try that in summer without gas burner you'll get the same result.Good to wash car or clean grease ...
Steam is dangerous ,to make that work safely a lot safety features need to be mounted.Good job anyway
За такую съемку, руки оторвать надо.
Just out a condenser with a blow off valve and reuse distilled water and you'll never have to change or clean the water it can be a closed system and run.
I sense potential for a generator or as the steam generator in model locomotives
so how are these used? I assume to heat up room(s) so do lines run to radiators in rooms or just pipes under floor (heated floor) and as the steam cools down and goes back to water, is there still pressure to return it to the water tank? how much water is lost in the steam in a closed loop system? i guess i need to watch more detailed videos.
steam equipment for mobile car washes and killing weeds
how long it can work continously?
Hi there, great job on the coil. Just have a few questions - Could this be used to pressurize an autoclave (15 - 17psi @ 250F)? would there be back pressure in the coil ? and could a regulator be used to avoid this? Kind regards
Yes
How to baying that sir
@@zustrelaxe8186 Make it

That's an impressive amount of steam. Is there a formula, some reading, or books to learn to calculate the number of turns needed for these types of coils? Thanks
Use as many as you can heat.
Kinda judge it off what fuel and how much you want to use
I need to make something like this to make a crab steamer for a seafood truck and put some quick connect couplings so the steam pots can be loaded with crabs
Very cool work, how long is the total length of stainless steel tubes?...
He already said
how many liter in mintue
So aside from detailing how it works, perhaps you should tell how it could be used in the house, in a steam car, in a steam generator, etc.
i think demineralized water is needed for the boiler as the tubes will be choked wiht salts wiht use and may not be able to clean the tubes and the boiler will become useless

Can this work with no pump or a really weak pump? Would it spit the steam into the water tank?
You have to overcome boiler pressure to pump water in. It looks like he's using a pressure washer pump powered by an electric motor.
Now to build a modern steam car for this to power.
Good😎👍
Do you think a modified wort chiller would work as a boiler?
Most arent rated for pressure, and most I see are just soft copper. Otherwise, similar thing. Don't underestimate the pressure of steam.
Ah yes, super heating sweet
so how to use waste to power that thing and push the steam into a turbine
Try lighting steam on fire you might be surprised as to how flammable it is. Not the condensation but the ACTUAL steam. Research it.
How ITS Made?
How much for this coil set up?
I wonder what this could do in a vehicle?
I wonder if it could out run a doble steam car.

Hello I’m looking to buy a high output waste oil boiler close to the size and style you show in the vid . Can you help me with that ?
Yes please email me using the emails in the description
You really think you where boiling the same amount of water that the water line pressure will run through it?🤔 oh you got a pump, is that just to overcome the building of steam pressure in the coil.
what happen if i put salt watet ? will the salt get out with steam ?
No....the salt will clog up the pipe very quickly.
Great demonstration , what are its specifications

Fuel consumption
I have a requirement of one of the same high pressure boiler for sterilizing mushroom substrate , will it work for the purpose ?
Please contact me with quotation
$9 an hour propane consumption
can go as hot as 200 c and as high as 300 psi or higher if i make it to do so .
I just sold a unit for $3,800
Emails me and i will show you the unit after its finished . My email is in the description
You don't say how much substrate or how much total volume you're sterilizing at one time so I can only guess... BUT for what you're doing, you don't need nearly this much heat output. For autoclaving, it's not just temperature and pressure that matter it's also TIME AT TEMP.
how much one of those for 200HP engine?
I'd like to see this thing employed in something useful like a steam engine turning a generator/alternator charging a bank of batteries for power applications. Something like the steam engine another youtuber built using a turbocharger.
Can you send a link

Why you don't use induction heating? It's metal, I think that productivity of your device will be much higher with induction heating instead of gas heating.

La bomba presurizadora porque la ocultas en el vídeo si subes un vídeo exibe todos los componentes que utilizan
Can you size that up to boil 200 + gph of water ?
Yes
Possibly known as a LaMont boiler.
How many psi is the water flow?
And what is the gpm?
I'm curious if just a 50 foot coil will work with a boiler pump.
250 psi 1 to 2 lpm but never did a good flow test
@@NOBOX7 did you ever measure the water psi at the outlet? Because the video of water shooting out is not 250 psi, more like 40 or 50 psi. I hooked up my 1/4" stainless 50 foot coil to water hose at 50 psi and the flow was the same as your video. I'm about to coil it tightly for a steamer then check psi just from water hose again.
The pressure difference from inlet to outlet would be good to know. The percentage loss from the friction as a rule of thumb will be valuable no doubt.
@@NOBOX7 I tested my 50' coil with propane weed burner, less than 2 minutes to heat with wind blowing at times, normal water hose pressure does the same as your rig does with the alleged 250 psi water pressure. I still don't believe yours is anywhere near that at the outlet. Maybe if you had 200 feet of coil, then you might need that much at the inlet. Your water pressure is falling off way too fast. Research I've done recently said about 30% drop in pressure which turns out to be true for my setup.
My waterhose tested 45-50 psi at first then after coiling stainless steel tubing,it had reduced to 34 psi which is close to 30%. At 34 psi the temp should be close to 280°F.
@@NOBOX7 just did a flow test, 1 gpm from waterhose. Biggest diameter of coil is about 8".
This stainless steel tubing is 1/4" OD and .028 wall thickness, so .194 ID.
Now I'm really interested in you checking your setup to see what's so far off.
Very interested. How do you feed water into the monotube? Could it be gravity fed? If so, how do you keep the pressure from going into the water Reservoir?
Could you do this with no electronics?
yes
