Colapinto is incredible but the car is also so much better now. Remember Williams had an upgrade package after the break and since then Albon has made it to Q3 every time. Not to attack Colapinto because he's so much faster than Sargeant but remember Sargeant was never too far behind Albon. He could have definitely scored points with the upgrades had he stayed.

The race defining moment was clearly the overtake after the first pit stop. Piastri completely caught Leclerc by surprise, amazing move. What a race ! Seeing a Mclaren and a Ferrari fighting so close laps after laps for the win really gives you Hakkinen / Schumacher vibes. More of this please 🙏🏼

Everyone talks about Lando Norris but Piastri has simply been better than Norris in the last 7 races! Just look at the results. Yet I hardly hear anyone talking about that.
Great ones are. Composed in the face of Pressure. Leclerc threw all the tricks in the bag but Piastri had none of it. As young as he is, clear sign of what's to come, no?

Piastri has incredible race craft and instinct. He knows the car's limits and pushes it right to the cliff's edge without falling. He also seems to be highly aware of his surroundings (other drivers, walls, etc.) and takes up as much of the track as he can to gain speed but also limit overtake chances of other drivers. He is even aware of his own slipstream behind and constantly tries to break it whilst maintaining the best racing line himself, making the other drivers behind try to keep in the slipstream but also try to overtake him from a bad racing line. Really smart crafty racing.

Piastri is really shaping up to be a future champ. He's really calm and cool under immense pressure. It was really amazing to see him fend off Charles lap after lap. And there was one moment in lap 42 or something when Piastri's rear was sliding like crazy and Charles also following him sliding like crazy. Really amazing race but sad to see both Sainz and Perez going off like that.
I would like to think that Oscar will become a champ. He was quoted after the race: “the most stressful afternoon of my life”. Only time will tell whether he can withstand the frequent repetitions required to keep winning.
Piastri learned well how to make perfect divebombs with compatriot Daniel Ricciardo. Oliver Bearman the only rookie in history to score for 2 different teams, that was amazing!

The way Piastri is driving will also get him bigger and bigger into the championship picture. It is only his second season and he is driving against drivers with more than double as much time and experience in F1 as himself. Piastri is sensational, what a driver, attack, defense. The defense against Leclerc was amazing. Leclerc was naive in that Piastri's move too. Like why was he so opened? Piastri then went to teach him how to cover that curve, sensational.

Oscar drove the wheels off that car today. Absolutely phenomenal showing.
The way Piastri is driving will also get him bigger and bigger into the championship picture. It is only his second season and he is driving against drivers with more than double as much time and experience in F1 as himself. Emotionally cold as ice and his concentration and driving being top notch, almost no mistakes at all. Definitely a future world champ.
