Thanks so much for covering the game Karl! This was awesome to watch and we’re happy to hear you enjoyed the process so far. This campaign is going to be fun! 😊

This is one of the most comprehensive reviews of a game I've ever watched. I already pledged, but the passion in your wrap-up solidifies why I backed this project. You've earned a sub.
Additionally, some of the initial concerns I had about mining (kind of lame?) and fishing (how does this even make sense) have been resolved during this video. For instance, if you're mining, you probably know the stone that you're looking for and can recognize it with your experience and senses by touching the bagged pieces. With fishing, the rewards you're trying to nab follow a path through the water and your dice roll is how effective you are in tossing your line to that spot to catch your reward, with the modifier representing the "choppiness" of the water.
All in all, I'm not sure how I'll be able to hold out until ~April '24!

Thanks so much for this, it means a lot. My focus has always been on the playthrough piece, and the final thoughts have just been a stream of consciousness discussion of my thoughts. I've never called them a review because I've never really done any planning or scripting about what I want to say or how I want to say it, I just turn on the camera and talk as if I was sharing with someone in the room with me. Because of this, I've always kind of worried that I was just rambling and not really sharing enough important details, so it's nice to know my thoughts are helpful!

This game looks amazing! Thanks for making the video. It helped me decide to back it. I really love the setting and theme, as well as the mini-games and coop nature of this one.

Me scrolling through the campaign: Big price... Good production value... Lots of moving parts... Solo ... Hmmm. Who's played it?
Also me: Oh! Karl's played! What's he say about it?
Also me: Welp, that settles that. **Backs**

Agreed! Can't wait to see the campaign expand in the final game, and the new expansions seem very cool

The puzzles and clues within the cards. The fog of war mechanic on the tiles is also fun to see.
      Thanks for sharing your insights.
Can't wait to be able to draw on cave walls.

Loving this overview, thank you so much!
Quick question though, because I'm worried I am completely misunderstanding the fishing mechanic: could you actually have caught the x2 fish (at 55:15), given that all dice (sum 14) were touching the black line? And can you help me understand why you wouldn't put the highest value roll on the essentially 'wildcard' space that all the lines share? Sorry, I feel like I must've missed a critical part here 😓

Thanks for watching! I'm glad the video was helpful. You are not analyzing all dice on a line, only the dice within a single box, and then that single box can only be used for one of the lines running through it. Then, finally, you can only succeed on each line once.

@@PurpleMoosePlays thank you, that makes so much more sense!! I knew I had to be missing a critical puzzle piece there 😁

it seems to be a game we often have our noses in the rules books or on the text of the cards to try to understand what is going on there, am I wrong? doesn't it risk spoiling the evenings with friends?
