Oh Phil that is the nicest Santa I've ever seen..Beautifully done ,amazing recycling and Santa made me smile :) Another creative gem .👍👏🏻Have a great week , Greetings , Helena
Very nice job! 🎅 I see you're using the new Ferrex brushless Drill & Impact Driver...how are you getting along with them? Maybe even too powerful for smaller jobs?
Cheers Brian! Yea they are pretty good so far. I really like the Impact driver. The Drill is over powered for the smaller jobs although that's not a bad thing it is just making light work of drilling wood.
@@PhillWyattProjects Yes, the drill almost growls when I press the trigger. Feels like it would be happier with bigger jobs. But as you say, makes light work of jobs. I recently bought the Lidl 12v drill...the one with detachable chuck. I was super impressed with it. So well designed and for small to medium jobs in wood it's perfect. It has a very sensitive trigger that allows you to easily drill at very slow speeds if needed and the clutch has a great range of settings and on it's lower settings will stop with very little resistance making it great for smaller tasks with smaller screws. Again it was a ridiculous price, 15 euro bare tool, including case and a drill bit & screwdriver kit. The removable chuck is a genius idea because you can drill and screw with the one tool if needed. The model is PBSA 12 D4. Still, I look forward to using the Ferrex pro combo (that you have there) for bigger jobs, a lovely piece of kit too.
@@typhoontim125 The PBSA 12 D4 looks very tempting for the price I might pick one up in Lidl although I promised myself not to buy any more drills this year! Reminds me of the Bosch drill I have that has interchangeable ends on it. I should probably be using that one for the smaller jobs although I did want to give the Ferrex drill a go this week. I have certainly noticed that I don't need to charge batteries as often with these brushless tools so that's a bonus.
@@PhillWyattProjects Ah yes, the Lidl D4 has copied the Bosch to an extent I think...so you probably don't need the Lidl one....still, amazing value! I was always an 18v/20v man before and never really saw the point of 12v but now I do...mainly that it means a smaller and lighter tool for smaller jobs...and when the designers get it right, they can create a little gem of a product like the D4. I bought the 12v stapler too which is also excellent & recently covered some chairs with it.
@@typhoontim125 I had a similar drill years ago it was my first drill I think it was about 12v small similar the the parkside. I used it for almost all my DIY at the time. Very convenient to use. I miss how light it was compared to 18v standard drills. Coincidentally the stapler you mentioned I actually bought a while ago and still haven't opened yet. I forgot I bought it until you mentioned it. not had a reason to use it yet is it any good?
