If you are in that area try cave in rock. Old area taken by u.s. during american revolution. Continue south to metropolis old french fort 1500 on wabash near mississippi river. Cave in rock is start of rt 1. The fort is start of rt45. Cave in rock resort built on indian burial ground . Nice high view of river and kentucky.
@@StevieWanders98 just few minutes south is elizabeth town. Along river is first hotel in il 1813. They will allow walk thrus. Great view 200 feet above river where wabash and mississippi meet. Thru the foot hills near elizabeth town is and old road that will lead to old monestary and a huge jesus stature in the middle of the woods. Kinda spooky but cool to drive thru.
Thank you. Have you been to shawnee town along the wabash. The town was moved west after flooding. The original old shawnee town was abandond.
No I haven’t been there. Maybe I’ll check it out
