If a built in BMS takes care of everything below 14.4 vdc input, then why couldn't a conventional lead acid charger (13.8 to 14.4 volts mx output) be used to charge LiFePO4 batteries, simply allowing the internal BMS to do the rest of the work? What's the missing logic?

Dave, did I misinterpret you, or did you really mean to say Goldenmate are the actual maker of the Bioenno batteries and cells?
You can use your old battery charger, it will be OK with BMS. That's what users say.
New charger? No, they are just trying to sell us more products.
