I've see people did an easy mod with a magazine with a jolt. I can literally use this concept combine with a 6 round magazine to create a close enough version BO4 ballistic knife except with a mag sticking out of it.

thats pretty cool! if you wanted to make it even smaller you could cut an inch off the barrel and make it for half/steffan darts

i just put it there so the trigger wouldn't flop around
What do you do to the pieces in between step 2 and 3
You just put them aside, but when it is time to put it all together, reassemble the plunger mechanisim
