Dave Filoni is such a GOOD person, and everyone can see how much he cares about The Clone Wars. respect for him!

Trust me, i'm really happy that we are getting season 7, BUT i think they should animate the other unfinished episodes as well (I'm talking about the Kashyyyk, Maul, Bounty Hunter, Ventress, Utapau Arc).
If season 7 was successful for Disney+ (episode 1-8 were slightly altered story reels because Disney was really paying for episode 9-12, but 4 episodes isn't a season), I really want them to make an animated movie version of Star Wars: Darth Maul-Son of Dathomir using the season 7 animation style.
...I wouldn't be upset if they decided to make another Lost Episodes season like they did on Netflix that would consist Son of Dathomir, the Crystal Crisis on Utapau, and Dark Disciple.
...on second thought, just finish Clone Wars: Legacy!
The amount that Dave Filoni loves Cad Bane, I wouldn't be surprised if the Bounty Hunter arc was completed as a movie or miniseries, too. I think there is a decent chance that the Boba Fett movie that was going to be directed by James Mangold was going to adapt the storyline, especially because Mangold loves westerns (Logan is heavily influenced by westerns like Shane...and even features Shane in the background in one scene), and the plot of this storyline was heavily influenced by The Searchers. Alas...if only Solo wouldn't have bombed...
To be fair, they could make a series set between Clone Wars and Rebels that's some of these stories could fit into.

I miss the Clone Wars
Sona Mcfly I miss it too, so much. I sometimes find myself loving it more than the Originals, not that they were worse, but the fact that I grew up with the Clone wars crew just makes the entire difference. I just really wish we could've seen the scene where Anakin saw Padme pasted all over the Bad Batch's gunship. It would've been hilarious.

Quyên From what I understand, the Clone Wars was canceled because Disney couldn't make much money off of it. Lucas's deal with Warner Bros. gave them indefinite broadcast rights.
***** That's the difference between broadcasting rights and ownership of the intellectual property. Disney owns Clone Wars, but they can't show it on TV.

Josh LeSage The deal Lucas made with Warner was for television distribution rights to an animated series, that being The Clone Wars, which was broadcast on Cartoon Network. The company (Lucas) still had the rights to all merchandise such as toys, games, clothes, etc.
Then comes in Disney, who buys Lucas and all their properties. Disney can sell all the Star Wars stuff because they own it but Warner still has rights to the cartoon because it's specifically for that show. Disney decides they want their own show to make money for themselves on a Disney channel. In order to not have the shows compete, the old show is cancelled so they can have full control from here on out. It's similar to the closing of Lucasarts so they can start fresh with whatever Disney wants to make. AKA no leftovers from before that they might not have full control over or might not want to be associated with (Star Wars 1313 comes to mind).
That story with the Padme pin up art is so funny! What a wasted opportunity. :(

That's not going to happen. The last clone wars battle before the battle of coruscant which was in episode 3, was the siege of mandalore, which was VERY close, infact that would've been at the end of season 7, and tie-ing into episode 3. They wouldn't come back for just 1 season a few remaining episode arcs from season 6.
Dave Filoni confirmed that the show would run through Episode 3. They had up to 8 seasons planned.

Paul Lizzi Sure they have. But would they spend their money if there's no way to recoup it? They are not non-profit foundations, you know. At the very least, they need to recoup the production cost. Which is practically almost impossible, since the broadcast rights for The Clone Wars is owned by Warner. Why would Warner 'help' Disney to recoup the latter's costs?
That's why, if you send the money needed to finish the production, they will gladly finish the production because it's your money, not their money, so there's no obligation to recoup it.

LightStreak567 because of money. Finishing an animation is very effort-, time-, and cost-intensive. With no recourse for broadcasting (which still represents the major source of income for any series), it's not profitable.

There was no rushing to finish more important material, when you get cancelled you stop. Little things can be finished like lighting but it's not wise to pay someone to finish a cancelled series.
I think that they finished the Jar Jar Episodes to show the death of Mother Talzin,to explain why she doesn't appear in RotS.

Take this with a grain of salt, but in the video, Dave and Pablo said that they think of all these arcs and concepts as having happened, so technically both Revan and the yuzhon vong are canon
"The Clone Wars" made the whole prequel era SOOOOOO much better. I basically only think of the 3 prequels in terms of the basic story elements and I try to forget about some of the bad acting and what a bad job they did in conveying this plot.
Instead, I put them into the context of the TV series (not the other way around) and imagine all the characters on the basis of the series, including the great voice acting, character depth, political realism and conflicts etc. Thank goodness for the Clone Wars

Watching this makes me depressed. For goodness sake, bring back Clone Wars!! I want to see what happened, especially with Ahsoka. Clearly Rebels isn't going to tell us what happened with her after she left the Order, so finish clone Wars and let us see the entire story of Ahsoka, Rex, Ventress, Vos, etc. Please!!

We already now what happened with Ventress ad Vos. Ahsoka and Rex's story doesn't pick up directly after the war, but we know they survived. Thats all that matters to me.
Dark Disciple was a great novel, however considering how important it is to Ventresses story (no spoilers). I feel it truly deserves to made into complete Clone Wars episodes. As should Son of Dathomir.
I would love a final season, or perhaps individual TV movies ( like seige of lothal). they could released spordically and focus on specific arcs (eg Son of Dathomir arc). Releasing indivdual TV movies would be easier, allowing them to focus on creating Rebels instead of trying to manage two show simulateouly + more money for disney (more money indivual than releasing a single season)
I enjoy Rebels, but i think Disney should complete important arcs to wrap up the series:
Utapau arc (as just needs final animation + elements of the story is seen in Rebels and will be major to Rogue One)
The Echo lives arc (as just needs final animation)
The Dark Disciple arc (8 episodes ) and would wrap up Ventresses arc
Son of Dathomir (required for later)
The Ahsoka Arc on Corrasaunt (more Ahsoka + just needs final animation)
The Sith Temple Arc ( not exactly essentail - from what I undterstan- but from the Ahsoka Panel we are aware Ahsoka is involved= more Ahsoka/Anakin interaction + sounds inetresting knowing Sidious is actively involved in the story)
The Seige of Mandalore Arc. This one I feel will be most likely made into a TV film. Not only could this truly tie up loose ends (ending the Clone Wars and dealing with Mauls fate). I dont think this will be in the Ahsoka Novel as it is set post order 66, which makes me feel they have plans to animate the arc. They have definetly established that the arc has truly happend ( Rex says he fought with Ahsoka, the last ttime Ahsoka saw anakin he was "going to save the chancellor" and Maul is aware and fought Ahsoka before)
I am aware there are various other storylines have been made ( Boba and Cad arc + a Wookie arc) although i would love more episodes, from what I am aware of these dont have any major impact on the series (such as wrapping up character storys or plot holes). But the ones I have listed above would definetly wrap up the series in a definitive way.

dave filoni loves the clone wars so much, the show was the best thing to happen since the original trilogy, ive seen a few petitions but they have fizled away, we need to all band togother and make contact with dave and get disney to relize they could make way more money from star wars the clone wars than they ever could from rebels

I mean all these stories sounded awesome and would be so great in there completion for TV!!

I found out the fans of the EU are putting a billboard to say bring back more legends novels. If we can put up a billboard to say bring back the clone wars back. Not unfinished work or in comic and in books. Maybe that $140 dollars can be useful. We need to work together to work together.

I hope there's another Clone Wars panel at Celebration Europe. Really, there's more they could elaborate on if they should so choose. Maybe scripts, more concept art? I'm personally hoping for something along the lines of an Order 66 tie-in. What about you, fellow Clone Wars fan?

they just recently showed us a clip of ahsoka from an unfinished episode, its near the end during ahsoka's untold tale panel.
They kind of did that with the one rogue clone episode in season 6

Abassador Pineapples That might be true, because if you notice the hairstyle that Barriss has in The Clone Wars, its extremely similar to the hairstyle the new female Sith Inquisitor has, also, the lightsaber fighting style also matches rather evenly. then grace with which she moves and the way she handles her lightsaber is still there. Note the large sweeps she makes in TWJ where she fights Anakin and the Sith Inquisitor employs the same tatic in the last few seconds when she fights Ezra.

It's really great that they publish so much information on what the plans for future Clone Wars episodes were. I also love Rebels. It's a good time to be a Star Wars fan, right now.
Seeing The Clone Wars in the Revenge Of The Sith movie format would have been so amazing, why couldn't George sell Star Wars to Disney in 2018 instead.
Would you rather have just a few more seasons of that or a new battlefront game 5 new movies then rebels to go with it. I love the clone wars and wish it could be finished but I think the new movies will be amazing, battlefront 3 looks gr8 and rebels is decent.

The Clone Wars being taken off Netflix was the final blow to my heart. They will never finish this show the way it was intended :'( I wish to have us fans fund the creation and suggest more episodes for a final season

I like that theory a lot: the clothes, hairstyle, eye colour and swagger of the character are all there - even the nose is definitely reminiscent even in this basic animated form. Then there’s the connection to Chewbacca
as Ahsoka has obviously met him which could have been worked into the story somehow. Yeah…I think you’re right, that’s a young Han Solo! Dave also talked about working Han solo into the clone wars in interviews over the years and how that would be challenging, so it was definitely on the radar. Looks like they found their in-road via Ahsoka and what a match-up that would have been!

Disney Needs to swallow their pride and allow all of these AWESOME Star Wars The Clone Wars story arcs to be made into an actual reality! They should complete these after Star Wars Rebels is over. These stories seem really interesting!
Dave, have the bad batch in rebels. Their mutations broke the control chips, and allowed them to be free. They have been hiding out for all this time, with wookie survivors. Same for the Vong. And you could show parts of the clone wars in flashbacks via Rex. So we could see what happened when Ani turned on so on.
A follow up to the Art of Clone Wars and Dave sketches published would be epic.
Dave and Pablo know more than anyone does when it comes to the characters and universe of Star Wars, it'll be a sad day when they eventually leave Lucasfilm... hopefully that day is a long, long way away. (Also David Collins is awesome, TFU and RC audio mastermind)

So Dave Filoni said episode 7 is the last one so this panel tells me they're was going to be like 10 seasons
I mean, of course if possible. But actually even if it wasn't sped up in the hopes of having a good ending that had to be rushed I think it would have concluded with a 22-episode season 7. Or even a 12 episode season 7 if season 6 hadn't been shortened.
