Don’t pay much attention to the bad comments if you do, use them as fuel to move ahead, I enjoyed your project very much, I’m thinking to do mine like that, thanks for sharing, “people who has the desire to share knowledge truly make the world a better place” thanks.

It would be a nice touch if you painted it black

Do the speakers just sit on top unsecured?

It looks nice... How stable is the design?

I have high hopes for it. Those speakers look fairly massive.

Its not a bad looking design I think If I were to build a similar stand I'd slightly change things by adding an addition 3rd leg, placed in an straight/uprightposition for added peace of mind.
With the way this is designed with both the top and bottom plates being slighly offset and the posts slated, adding a 3rd straight leg that attaches to the top and bottom plate would still look good in my opinion, since with the 2 posts being set at an angle and 1 post set straight you'd get a cool X or cross over type of pattern between the 3 legs.

So I guess no one has actually made it yet, since you didn't get an answer. I would like to try it. If so, I'll let you know how stable it is.

I made some 6 years ago with a very similar design, just with 1 leg rather than 2. The speakers sit stable on mine although I doubled up on the wood in the base for stability. Still going strong now. Find where the weight in your speaker sits and adjust your design, try to keep the weight up top above the centre of the bottom plate.

? How do you calculate in the weight of the monitor. I would like to have a desk top version for Adam 7X. These weigh around 24 lbs and are larger than most top plates in store stands. Consider 11.5 depth and 9 1/2 width. I would like them to be on a desktop and secured to it. Just to be careful. The total height of the stand, 23". I was impressed at your design. If there is more activity on the desk top, I see a need to mount or use sand weight. Mounting is the option here. Thoughts?

Hey man can I just buy a set from you to do? Also I'd like to give the width of my speakers so that they fit well. I would do it myself but I don't have the equipment and would cost me more to buy the equipment than just buy the stands on Amazon.

The main issue with these stands is that they lack the weight, therefore would not recommend to use as speaker stands!
