the spot your in, right there. use a 1/32oz. fish hawk wahoo popeye feather jigs & a 1/32oz. northland fishing tackle mimic minnow Fry's. I haved caught lots of crappies in that spot. i always use very lite small tackle jigs & lures.
I live 5 minutes from here and grew up fishing this canal. Its a great spot for largemouth basss and carp. Its also where i catch bait for flatheads by the lock(in the river not the canal)

Hey Leo, old video, but I fish this spot a lot. Better fishing the other way down the canal. Also, a great spot for channel catfish. Regularly pull out 6 pounders there.

@@marcgambone4240 river. I've seen people fishing for cats in the canal. I've only tried the canal once for cats but only caught snapping turtles
As for bass and other crappie, all the way down the canal closer to oaks.
