Why Hip Hop Doesn't Respect French Montana
Вставка
- Опубліковано 27 жов 2021
- From legends such as Jay Z & Eminem to today’s hottest rappers like Lil Baby & Lil Durk, every artist that’s topped the charts or entered the top tier list has reached a point where they’ve either had to evolve and finetune their sound or get out of the way. But if you asked a hip-hop head to categorize or define the sound of the Morrocan-born, multi-platinum selling French Montana, they’d be hard pushed to nail down exactly where his appeal lies. Or even worse, pinpoint what he brings to the table that no one else can.

Diddy editing him out the pic was hilarious, and so disrespectful 🤣
Some Joseph Stalin shit
Josef stalin erasing people and memories since way way

Imagine being edited out off a picture so well, that it looks like he was edited into it.
Fab too
Imagine performing all your hits and never being able to perform the whole song because it's feature heavy...
This comment…is legendary.
Exactly! Great point fam
that makes zero sense, have you ever been to live concert before? artist performs a lot of their chart topping feature-heavy songs all the time even if the featured artists are not present on stage. y'all should really go outside and touch grass from time to time the hate is real.
Look, some people want music worth listening to, something with substance that can make you think. French doesn't make music like that. He makes music that you don't actually hear, you just dance to the beat. There are few things more infuriating to actual music lovers than music with no soul. You can like what you like, but don't try to pretend that artistically French is anything other than dog shit on the games shoes, he's just objectively not.
@@soraactualize5464 grass is good
The issue is not the constant features. It's the fact that the features always make the song and you feel like skipping his verse.
FActssss
_Nobody else is the music industry has ever managed to be both successful and irrelevant at the same time._ 😎

French is the only artist to have a all time dope hook ( stay scheming) and one of the worst verses ( stay scheming) on the same damn song. Legendary shit.

ikr, rappers wrap their image sound and w/e just to stay hot or to not fall off, join gangs get mad extra tats that don't mean shit or go the rainbow hair dreads route.
they can't just find their sound and style and stick to it.
I feel that but it’s not always a good thing

Interesting take. Cause let's be real , French is like that cool Arab gas station/ corner store owner. He's that guy that the Brothas mess with. Not the dope boy taking over the hood. But regardless. He still WINNING.
i personally respect french Montana, because he wouldn't be there if he gives up at the first time he failed, and when his father left them alone in the USA, and he should take care of his mother and two brothers and be the father, he doesn't care about what other people said, that he can't make it, and even English wasn't his first or second language, but he did it, big respect french.
Facts though 💯. People can say what they want about his music, because music is subjective, but looking at his life story and his come up, you've gotta have respect for him on that if not his music.

When it comes to French Montana, the ONLY thing I can say is, whether if the song was his or not, the features are the reason why he's where he's at right now...
Simply because he always hung around or collaborated with everyone that was poppin' at the time, INCLUDING DJ KHALED.
Plenty of people have hung with all the ones on top and the majority aren't smart enough to capitalize and build a successful business from it

If you’re a Max B fan you’ll understand how French evolved and deserves hell of respect. CokeWave 🌊
French is all about the money first. 50 said it many times, he was always the dude trying to hang around with rappers and get a name for himself with interviews on Hood DVDs. He moved to the celebrity league by being a featuring rapper getting his shine and bread through others more successful/bigger audience crowd. Another example, his Kardashians reality tv stunt when they were at their peak few years ago, etc. On the other hand, he's got the NY street cred for running rounds with Max B and the Wavvy movement, beat murder charge, got shot to the head, lived in mansions with elevators even before mainstream. The guy is a hustler, no doubt.
French solidified but in the end many of these guys wont be remembered.
