I was in Indonesia around 2001 to 2005 and saw the garbage problem even then. The beaches were kept very clean by the hotel staff and others. The only beaches where I saw plastic litter was on Lombongen Island off the Bali coast and along the mangrove canals in Denpasar.
Great to see such numbers cleaning and recycling all the trash. Thank you so much. ❤
If those children learn that loving their country, is keeping it clean, what a great outcome.
Big thanks to all- loved that the kids wanted to help- 💚🌊
OMG you really did that! I'm an Indonesian I hope when I grow up I really want to do this activity!
Oioi oioi 🙏🙏good work,big thanks all group👌
So very glad to hear you understand the importance of figuring out ways to improve wast collection in the areas you are trying to help.
Great job team, thanks for all the work you do!
Thank you for your support Ryza!
You all have done an amazing job. Thank you.
Wonderful work, thank you👑
How/where do they dispose?
Great job, everyone who lives there needs to make an effort to keep the land and water free of litter dont trash our mother she is all we have !!!!
Do the locals keep it clean though? Otherwise it’ll just need doing again in a couple of years
As someone living in a neighboring third world country, they don't.
And yes, these cleanups will be needed on a consistent basis until the education system and the enforcement system improves in these countries.
Just like the team we have in Bintan lead by my friend Jaslan, both doing the same good thing.
What is needed is a method for the fishermen to dispose of their nets and rubbish in a proper manner without to much effort other wise this will just continue
Yes we are working on subsidising them so they can make some money by bring them back to shore in good condition
Awesome!
Exactly. Involve the locals as they are the ones who eventually govern the lands.
Thank you 🙏
I love the idea of resanitising the soaps.
But they don’t use it in the resort…
hope this area u can planting trees mangroves
Heads up! Cleanup doesn’t start till halfway through video.
Yess
These are worthy Children of GOD. You help each other as if you have known each other for generations. Regardless, the Religion or Culture.
Sincerely,
LUV YOU !
Even the Holy Apostles helped others who are not Born Jews.

That is indeed news Indonesian that cleaning up there own garbage
I do wonder where the sewerage goes from those house boat houses???? Not good into the sea.
Unfortunately many of these communities don't have waste waste treatment and it will go into the sea. We are working with them to help build waste management and maybe we can look at that next
It goes straight to the sea
Great video! We need all the help we can. Our goal is to save our oceans. Please get involved 🐡🐠🐟🐬
Use mechanical cleaning by garbage harvester...fast and ssfe
why dont u get the people who live there to get there butt of and teach them to clean there own area this is what is wrong with the whole project so u going to come back and clean there filth go and save the rain forest the one these people destroyed
You guys need to educate the uneducated to throw there rubbish in the bin, not into rivers, canals. Not good.
It's really tough when people don't have access to waste management... but we agree education is so so SO important!
a large majority of the great garbage reef is fishing nets. Stop discarding fishing nets!
We have to stop all plastic... from big to small :) Fishing nets are so bad when they enter the ocean!
Empty gesture, this is more like the emmys than anything else, a group of know it all, this is the same like when a politician goes to a poor area. and help for a day, this is just hypocrisy
I walk on a beach a local one or two times a week for the last twelve years and every time I pick up fishing line discarded by shit fishermen and bags of dog shit left by shit dog owners it’s just relentless have you picked one piece up lately
We have funding to build the islands first Material Sorting Facility to bring permanent change... This was made possible by the awareness our activities brought over the last 2 years. It's anything but an empty gesture friend.
@@sharvey6146 I don’t go around making video, blog or telling strangers what I do for my community, I do it for myself and in silence, but it doesn’t change the fact that the video show people going to a place to help themselves by recording what look like a typical Sunday of “ show the poor how we care because they don’t do it”. Basically the beach version of helping the poor around Christmas, while they are selfish asshole the rest of the year.
@@SevenCleanSeas a mother can’t be peaking up after the children every day, in one moment she most teach them to be organised and stop leaving everything around, this is just a plaster, first the rivers are the way most of the plastic end up in the oceans so that approach maybe is more helpful, money is the only thing that will help your cause and I mean creating like in Africa things and building a business model that help you be more than a sorting facility. Sadly your approach is the general choice and look how we are doing.
Generally I agree, a consistent solution is needed. But they did involve some local people and even some kids helped. Perhaps this changed the mind of a few local people.
Please Come and visit our place.. We badly needed you guys to jump start the movement.. Location: Southern Negros Philippines
