I was at the BC Conservative rally yesterday (July 21) in Abbotsford. Met MLA (Abby West) Korky Neufeld and John Rustad. Good people. John is a regular guy, calm and rational. Just what BC needs. Korky has a lot of energy and a good representative for us. The turnout was really good as well: Families, seniors, millennials and GenZ. It was just a gathering of, good hardworking people that want responsible government and a future for the next generations. It will be a great, much needed change! Even if you aren't able to donate cash, get out and support the Blue Wave! Change starts with the people, the party can't do it alone.
Courteny/Comox had a community based hospital that ran within budget, gave excellent care and plenty of community jobs. The govt forcibly took it over, fired the board, closed the laundry facility and started shipping the laundry to Alberta. Closed the kitchen that sourced local organically grown foods as first option and outsourced to Sodeco where food was prepackaged crap. Our community was proud of raising funds for the purchase of state of the art diagnostic equipment as needed. Now the hospital waits for years for equipment.
Yes, cause as much as you think your health care is 'public', most of its components, like laundry and catering are outsourced to private companies. I spent nearly 25 years working as a mechanic / manager in the beef processing industry..and now currently working in Alberta’s tar sands.. yes it was quite the contrast to each other., and I going to tell you straight up, I have never seen the environmental stewardship in the beef industry like I have witnessed in the tar sands , Yes the beef industry talk about the environment, land and water conservation / responsibilities..but that is where it stops unless it means increasing profits…it would utterly shock you in just the amount of fresh water the beef industry uses on the daily..12 million yes” million” gallons of water per week..to slaughter and process 4200 head of cattle per day, the amount of chemicals used to spray every single piece of beef , chemicals that literally chew through steel, concrete etc …after working in the tar sands for the last 2+ years I have never been more impressed in the seriousness that these people take in the environment..it’s discussed extensively , plans are put in motion and it is carried out ..water and resources are not taken for granted..I witnessed a birds nest that was on top of a crane that was at the time sitting idle but ready to go at any given time ..well..this whole area was now fenced off..not to be disturbed for any reason until these eggs hatched and the birds had left the nest..the excavation of the soil has its own staging areas , sub soil, top soil etc ..then it is put back and trees, foliage is then planted..it looks better than when it started. NDP and Liberals need to be removed by election all across Canada . We are so far in debt that the average Canadian has no idea how much trouble we are in as a Country . Any government coming in behind will have to cut hard all across the board for years to bring us back into balance . ITS GOING TO HURT US ALL .
I am pretty sure most Canadians know about our debt. The sad reality is that there is no mechanism to change a government regardless of how reckless the spending is. Why don't we have accountability? How can it be implemented?

Stephen Harper was also in favor of the W.E.F. :( By the way, it's not just unvaccinated Doctors & Nurses, there are also, Respiratory Techs, Laboratory, X-Ray, CT, MRI Techs, Care Aids, Office Services staff, Booking Clerks, Physiotherapists, Pharmacists and more that are not welcome back into the Healthcare system, IF they are unvaccinated. This puts a huge strain on the system, that was already in a crisis. The NDP are funding immigrates to get certified and putting them in the system to fill holes, with our tax dollars. Bring back the unvaccinated and thank them for their critical thinking, get them back caring for the people!

Archaic claim. The health care system in Canada has been failing for decades. Thirty years ago, it took 6 hrs to see a doc in Emerg. Today, you can't get in unless you are dying. Old people are left in hallways on gernies. Today, it takes closer to 10 hrs to see a doc in Emerg. The difference is stark. Canadians know our health care system has failed. How many can't find a GP today? Canadians are open to a new system now.

There is a sugar tax in BC. Sugary drinks have pst added.
Effective April 1, 2021, soda beverages will no longer qualify for the exemption for food products for human consumption. PST will apply to all retail sales of soda beverages at a rate of 7%.
Tax study shows "no evidence of increasing or decreasing consumption" of soda. Raising taxes on sugary beverages didn't have the intended results.
