Hey Paul, these videos are great. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. You mentioned the operator is not allowed to fiddle with the controls. I am curious when is it OK to adjust the controls… when you are dialing the process in? If you cannot explain the out of control data point through the control plan?

Hi Matt - good to hear from you. When can they adjust?
1. When dialing in standard settings
2. If the process naturally wanders and needs a reset. Some grinding processes naturally move from top to bottom tolerance.
Other than that, there role is to use the rules/settings specified. If they do that and the process goes hay wire, we know there is a problem that they need help with. What are your thoughts?
