believe me folks, if you are interested in sw radio and dxing then get the Tecsun pL-660/680 the reason being that it's really great tuning around rather than having a scan up or down button. The Pl-660/680 also have external antenna input for proper SW antennas like the Bonito ma-305 FT whip, a truly amazing antenna. The PL-668/680 are pure analogue radios with SSB which means you can listen to radio hams and air traffic stations and above all ssb can be used on sw stations to pull in weak signals if a stronger station is interfering, this is called ECSS and it's also very effective against fading signals. the DSP radios on SSB are junk. The raddy is an interesting radio though, can the sensitivity of the scan be adjusted like on the Tecsun PL-330/310 et ?
There's nothing in the manual suggesting that the scan sensitivity can be adjusted. I wasn't aware that the PL-330 had such a feature either. The only radio I know with an adjustable ATS scan threshold is the Qodosen DX-286/SR-286. The PL-660 is a great radio, but it's ATS threshold is far too low, storing lots of just plain noise until the memory fills up.
