This venture sounds like something that this country is really needing because I too no longer believe that journalism exists. News corporations have stifled independent news people into reading transcripts shaped on a political agenda. You are a perfect choice to be a part of the change that is needed. 1000% agree! I stopped watching the mainstream media about four years ago. Now I only listen to independent journalists like Megyn Kelly and Bill O'Reilly. I just signed up for the Merit Street Media email. Thank God for companies like this who are giving Americans a choice.

I have stopped watching the news for many years now. I could not listen to what appeared to me to be scripted and everyone on all broadcasts seemed to be saying the same things. The major new sources are owned by the same companies/people. I could not let myself have a world view coming from that. I'm beyond thrilled for you and what this new news source seems to be striving for. Thank you!!

Sadly, If Phil is heading this up, it is still part of the cabal system. Only when they (the good military, who is in control) reveal what happened to all these people (Mainstream Media, politicians, Hollywood, Royals, and the elites, etc.) will people wake up. I’m proud of you! I used to watch you on News 2 Houston late 90’s to early 00’s when I lived in Galveston. Both my kids are B.O.I (born on island) and I was a very young mom and didnt know a soul in TX. I was going through a massive transition in life and you were unknowingly a role model for me. You inspired me. I had moved from Southern California to Galveston and you were my favorite anchor. Fast forward many, many challenging transitions, my kids are now 24 & 25. My daughter is a veteran and attending UGA, my son is almost finished with his electrician apprenticeship. I raised them by myself. I’m even doing well as a nurse and currently working on NP. I’ve grown in so many ways. I guess I’m a late bloomer. I’ll be 48 in February. I’m glad I found you again a few years ago on YT. You’ll be amazing at your new adventure. She's special needs and she will more than likely be with me for the long haul, if not forever. But I'm absolutely ok with that! @@eveningstar8581, you got this! I didn’t have a career until 36. And was dirt poor before that. Grew up that way too. We were homeless, been through a lot of stuff that I’d rather not say too. Generational poverty and all the things had to be broken. I still don’t have a retirement, have never bought a house yet, never married or the natural adult accomplishments. But I will in due time!
I guarantee there is someone in your vicinity that is inspired by you and sees your strength. I guarantee someone sees you as an inspiration and wish they had your guts. Never forget that. It takes pure heart, soul, strength, courage and guts to be in your shoes. I’d bet there is way more to your story as well. From one woman and mama to another warrior woman and mama--you got this! Oh Dominique, that is so wonderful. I just worked in Banking for 35 years until my retirement in 2010. Sometimes I wish I would have gone to College and pursued a lot more of a career, but I was tired of school at that point in my life. Then marriage, children and now Grandchildren. I felt your tears when you talked about your Mom's dreams for you. I still remember little things my Mom told me that I have even taught my children. You have God's favor , as you have lived a life pleasing to him. Thanks for sharing your new job and your Christian faith with us. My Daddy who spent many, many years in Ministry used to say "The will of God will never lead you where his Grace can not keep you." He is faithful. So anxious to see your new home and hear more. I finished watching this at 9:45 PM Saturday night. Dominique, I’m so happy for you that you are now in a happy place to work. When I first moved to Houston in 19707 KVRC made me feel like I was right at home. But the last few years that you were there, it felt to me that management was causing KRC to be an entertainment event rather than true news. I guess she felt the same way too. Now I am a Houstonian, but I do love those Dallas Cowboys, so Dominique, you better move into the BOYZ! 💙

I like how you shared your story with me, yes, with me! You were talking to me. You did it so intimately, it felt like two friends chatting and getting updated on each other's lives. It didn't feel at all like i was watching someone on you-tube. I was teary-eyed when you talked about your dream and your mom's conviction on where you should be.
